Full service old style fish market with local and imported fish, both fresh and frozen. Includes hard to find seafood from Japan and elsewhere. Produce and prepared food section includes cooked fish, musubi, and of course poke, poke, poke. If you need a fresh fish, take a number, they will help you select and clean and cut for you if you wish, and wrap in pink paper and you can put in provided plastic bags. Fish cutters are friendly and knowledgeable.Parking is available across the street in the church, but make sure you dont jaywalk and wait for the light because more than once Ive seen HPD monitoring from a discrete location and ticket. Enjoy!

Ive gone to Tamashiro Market as a child and it was always fun today was no different the fresh local produce, fish, and variety of poke is always a treat It maybe a little on the high end as far as price but the quality is no match. Youll know what I mean when you purchase it. The staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Always try something new when you go there you will never be disappointed.

The smell is very pungent which is to be expected from a fish market. I bought fresh salmon & I hafta say it was the best salmon I’ve made/bought here! The salmon was so tender & pink & it literally touched me back when I touched it. I don’t know about u but that’s how I love my salmon. I asked the butcher that cut the fish about where it came from & you know the basics; any color or preservatives added, & he surely knew about the fish which was very helpful & showed that he had some care about his job which I greatly appreciate. The prices for the fish go from low grade to higher grade which I believe works best, so I could see what’s best for my budget. So for the price, it was definitely worth it! I will definitely go every week! The parking was a little odd mostly because it’s just situated on the corner so it’s very limited parking in their lot but then the miracle sign that says park at the church & *boom* so much space. Thank goodness for this place! Mahalo️

For the past few days I have been going to Tamashiro Market in Kalihi. The best and cheapest option is the spicy (sweet and sour) marlin (pictured on the right.) It is marlin with spicy aioli and sweet and sour sauce. It is best with rice or steamed sweet potato. Both rice (sushi too!) and steamed sweet potato are sold at the market for about 2 to 6 dollars. It is a must to go to when visiting Oahu.

There is sushi grade cuts of fish, live crabs and lobsters and virtually every kind of fish and crustacean found in the Pacific! Must go to see roland get some stuff. Parking is very limited.

Located in a sketchy neighborhood but worth the trek. Huge selection of poke variety. We ordered ahi tuna limu, raw crab, and the scallops. Everything was very fresh. No eating area in the market so we drove over to nearby Costco and ate it in there (we bought a burger and hotdog for the kids)

I cant believe I just spent 15 minutes writing a review and I pressed the wrong key and it erased. So to make it short, I miss Kalihi, where I lived for 3 years at 910 kopke St .But more importantly, I miss Ts market. Poi, octopus, mahi mahi, sashimi etc. 1981_84. Former Kaneohe Marine then. So I love and miss my Filipino and Samoan brothers(who made me feel like a dwarf or midget) and of course my Hawaiian people. May God bless all the people of the Hawaiian islands and may Tamashiros market be around for the next 200 years. Miss that Abalone too. Cant find it in my neighborhood here in NYC. Shaka Bra. Those 4 years in the usmc and in Oahu were the best of my life. This Borique should never have left. Love you all.

Guy was personally able to secure this 28 pound yellowfin tuna for me at an incredible price. Parking is tough here, especially turning into the lot as cars block the driveway often. Come from vineyard blvd and itll be easier to get in. The inside of the store is a little crowded and not lit well but they offer great seafood and poke bowl too. Process are reasonable, a bit more expensive then Chinatown in general though.
