Beautiful church with really welcoming people. The sanctuary is very clean and very safe and really nice and comfortable. The pastor was very animated and very caring. As a visitor, I was so surprised that everyone was so welcoming and it was nice to see so many Catholics right at the beach in Waikiki. The community here really has a good sense of faith and it is a really a joy to see

We took our first vacation to Hawaii and selected our hotel for one reason, this MAGNIFICENT Catholic Church was right next door and we walked to Mass each time we went. A lovely Spirit Filled place of worship!!

Mass went for a little over an hour and the priest was very welcoming of people visiting on holiday.Church is well air conditioned with lots of seating.

St Augustine by the Sea is a wonderful Catholic community. Everyone is warm and welcoming, and the priests are genuine, spiritual, and full of Christ. I particularly was moved by the blessing in Hawaiian, and the traditional Hawaiian liturgical dance by some of local community.

Right in Waikiki. Beautiful chorus of Tongan singers. A little bit longer than the usual one hour service but beautiful. Small parking lot in the back

Beautiful church, very welcoming staff, exceptional service. Also exceptional about that church, be sure to check the schedule for the Tongan choir. A must! The most angelic, inspirational music. If you are visiting from the mainland, you are sure to enjoy the Hawaiian/Polynesian service and the church choir. Parking available in a small lot, arrive early or street parking.

Beautiful catholic church by the beach! Luckily my hotel was near by so we decided to go to there for Sunday mass. Father was very friendly, approachable and seemed loved by everyone there.Gotta love their hymns because they’re all Hawaiian style - nice & relaxed! Noticed half local and half tourists if that makes any difference but we were all there to pray and thank the lord for the beautiful experience in WaikikiI really miss it

My husband and I attended mass at St. Augustine in Honolulu, Hawaii for our one year wedding anniversary this year and during the mass, the Hawaiian priest said that there was a couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. I thought to myself, we are going to be like that. I asked my husband if we can stay after mass to ask Fr. Lane for a blessing. At the end of the mass, Fr. Lane asked for the couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary to come up as well as for any other couple celebrating their anniversary. There were about five or six couples in total. We stood at the front of the church with Fr. Lane and the congregation facing us and then with their arms stretched forward, they all sang in Hawaiian the prayer for marriage.The experience was very memorable for us. I was overcome with so much emotion I had to consciously stop myself from letting my tears overflow.Beautiful Church and lively community.

A little gem of spiritual tranquility in Waikiki. Thank you for leaving the doors open so that I can come into your house. Left me with feeling of greater faith that came from my visit to Hawaii allowing me to feel the love from the land and the people. Peace love and happiness to all.

We love the mass on Sunday morning. The pastor is very personable and has a way of keeping your attention. The choir is awesome.

During these stressful times, St Augustine Church is taking safety seriously. Attendees are required to check in, masks are required during Mass, social distancing in the pews, no missals provided, all pews wiped down between Masses, etc...

A Catholic church by the sea. Very near Waikiki beach. A respite from touring around Oahu. Daily masses are celebrated hear, at 7 am and at 5 pm.

Beautiful church and beautiful people. Traditional hawaiian with a great choir. Really a great place of worship in the heart of waikiki beach walk. Support and buy a CD! They really work hard to maintain their church, it shows - its so beautiful.

So beautiful there and Father Lane is so engaging and charismatic. Sometimes at the end of mass you get to enjoy a hula dance. Cant remember their name but they also sell plate lunch to support them in the Merry Monarch.

Saint Augustine is air conditioned & very clean. Each service on the weekend has a different group signing during mass. Sometimes a hula halau performs after mass. Father Lane makes you feel at home with God.

A perfect example of Hawaiian / West Coast mid century modern architecture. This is one of the few exanples of old Waikiki left. I can only speak about it as architecture, I havent attended services here.

Loved it. Great church. Excellent preaching. Warm and caring to the poor.

Solemn and prayerful. Always good Mass and wonderful music at Saturday 5pm Mass.

I love this church. Weekday masses are at 7 and if you go earlier for Rosary before Mass. On Sunday occasionally there is local entertainment of a worship type after Mass. The five p.m.mass has an amazing tonga choir that will knock your socks off.

We highly suggest coming to the st augustine church they are honest people who try to do right by people and lead them in the right direction in life. We came from a ABUSIVE CULT called the HONOLULU CHURCH OF CHRIST located on keeaumoku street. they were DISHONEST with our money and started to run SCAMS on the island....it took us a very long time to ever put trust in another church.......
