Beautiful beach access point! There is great places to sit and porch swings. The bathrooms are clean and there are places to rinse off. You are able to bring dogs, but unfortunately they will need to stay on a leash and you can ride your bike on the beach. I even found a sharks tooth!

This is a place where we vacationed every year. It used to be a 5 star fun place to visit but the time share came here and took over. I still enjoy all the activities here and theres many things to do. We went parasailing, played mini golf, sat on the beach, went into the lighthouse, went dolphin watching, and visited the museum even though the museum is small. But its an enjoyable place to take the family and kids will love i!. If you get the chance go to the biggest little secret in the southeast.

Nice beach. Parking was a few blocks away but free ( out of season). Very clean. Easy Access to the beach even for people in wheelchairs. Swinging benches with a water view are nice

The sunset was amazing. Rocking benches are everything. You can hear the entertainment from the restaurant near by. Very fine sand. Molded clay looking when wet. Water was ice cold. People were still enjoying it. Free parking. Really nice beach.

This is a very nice park that makes it easy to visit the beach on the island. Our only complaint was that the park does not actually have parking, at least not parking we could find. We parked at a nearby shopping center and walked to the beach. We would definitely visit here again!

Great beach and square. We rented bikes and had a great day enjoying the area as a family. We bought souvenirs for our trip and had a great lunch here as well.

We used to Beach for 2 days on a weekend trip and we use the umbrella set for $20 a day which isnt bad for family of 5 with the baby. We had a blast the beach was nice eat clean the chairs were comfortable and clean having the beach club a few steps down was convenient and nice it made the days at the beach all around great. You hardly knew there was a pandemic or anything going on at all. The park at swings benches chairs convenient bathrooms changing areas all clean areas and people were wearing masks some not but everybody was keeping their distances and everybody whats respectful. It was nice.

The beach was beautiful. It seemed like it was clean, i didnt see a lot of garbage laying around. Was there for Thanksgiving and the weather was over cast and a little bit of rain while there. The sand was very fine. Planning on coming back in the summer. Seems like it would be an excellent beach to visit during the summer. There is also a public wifi hot spot as you enter the beach

Coligny Beach is a beautiful beach! Wonderful place for families to spend the day and in the summer, there are fountains on for the kids to play in.We are always excited to see the different animals each time we visit!

Hey, it was vacation with the grandkids. What could be better? I was impressed that people were social distancing. A few masks but over all people had space. Beach was nice, sand was warm as was the water. Laid back, closed my eyes, relaxed and thought all is well - Until the 18 month old headed toward the water and then thought - this is not a vacation - its babysitting.Stay Safe and Remember - Keep Your Nose Covered

Coligny is absolutely amazing. From the boardwalk with its porch swings and gazebo, to the beach. The stores and restaurants are all located in one spot that makes Coligny a spot that you can spend an entire day with the family or just someone you love and you never have to go any further than where you already are in order to do whatever it is that your heart desires while you enjoy your beach vacation.

On a late October evening, we got lucky to see the full moon rise up as the sun set and sky blazed in colors of orange & pink at the beach. Moonlit sky and water was breathtaking. If you get the time to spend sometime here, do check it out. We did see quite a bit of flies at some spots in the beach, but it was totally worth that gorgeous gorgeous view

Absolutely beautiful beach! I’ve never spent the day in the beach at a Hilton Head Island. I’m glad we chose this beach. The rentals aren’t expensive, the restrooms and changing rooms were clean. The parking area is huge and it’s free to the public. Easy walk to the beach from your car.

Coligny Beach Park offers convenient public access to Hilton Heads beaches. We enjoyed the entrance area featuring public restrooms and lounging areas. In particular, the ample free parking spaces located only a short walk from the beach entrance proved extremely convenient to my family.

No RVs allowed at huge free parking lot even during off-season and less than 10 cars are there.Within minutes of parking, I received a written citation by unmasked city employee (local law to wear) mid morning and was directed to go park at Driessen Beach 4 miles away which is a pay by hour with no bike paths or shops.I work from my RV and can fit in one parking spot and felt like I was being watched/targeted or they just have nothing else to do during off-season than harass visitors as they patrolled the lot at least twice in my 3.5 hours at Driessen.I took my tourist and holiday shopping $$$$ elsewhere.

You can walk for hours. Bring your bikes to ride on the beach. We found some sand dollars but left them for others to enjoy. If you are looking for sea shells there werent any big ones to collect.

Fantastic entry takes you to the beach where you can walk on a plastic mat to the beach. Umbrellas with chairs are available for rent at $14 an hour (seems expensive, bring your own). Lifeguards posted and red Beach Patrol trucks pass by keeping people are aware of their presence. Quite enjoyable day was had by all in our group!

A great place to go to the beach, shop or eat. You can spend an entire afternoon shopping and eating. The Sandbar restaurant is our favorite.

This was an absolute treat to find during my short stay on Hilton Head Island. I enjoyed a walk one day and a run on the next. The hard packed sand and cool morning breeze made for a nice early morning beach run.

Very clean and well maintained beach area. It has 4 changing cabins, outdoor showers and large restrooms. The access from the mini promenade to the water allows for easy access with strollers and rolling coolers by using the pathway. There are lifeguards on duty as well. During the day the beach is very wide and plenty of room for physical distancing. You are also able to rent beach chairs and umbrellas.

Beautiful beach. Ocean was a bit rough though my kids didnt swim in the water but had tons of fun playing in the sand. Memories were built.

Parking can be a bit of an issue, but nearby is a large paid parking place. The beach access entrance has a good number of shops and restaurants around it, but you are discouraged from beach parking there. Police will ticket you..... The entrance to the beach is very welcoming and plenty of areas to sit and people watch. Nice white sand with the typical SC/GA dark water.Took my dog because it’s a pet friendly place. Need to leash. Plan on coming back when I get a chance, recommend.

Nice spot but definitely the tourist beach location. There are less crowded beaches but this one probably has the closest parking to beach access. Not sure why but other locations had parking closed off which made you park further away.

Nice area but VERY crowded when we went on a Friday 2 weeks ago. So many people on the beach. Thought we set up at least t 6 ft away from other folks it still was a little too crowded for my COVID comfort. We moved twice but kept getting peoples cigar smoke blown in our face which made it all even more unpleasant. Probably best to go on a weak day of you are concerned about being well socially distanced and not having to deal with too many people around.

Great beach access including people with mobility limitations. Rest room facilities and showers. Nice place to rest in comfortable chairs, benches and swings.I recommend and look forward to our next visit.

Another beautiful beach stop before heading home from the weekend. This one was a little bit more popular, but for the most part everyone was social distancing between each other. There is a public parking lot across the street, and just a short walk to the beach.

If you are looking for an amazing place to go on vacation on the East Coast of the United States Of America I highly recommend visiting Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. I highly recommend you due your due diligence long before planning your visit. Before your first visit I suggest checking out the different property companies, hotels and resorts for your visit. Check out the ratings and reviews very closely. I personally think May, June, September and October are perfect months to visit Hilton Head Island. The Island has plenty of stores, restaurants, Coffee Shops and super markets. You won’t feel like you are living on a deserted Island. My best advice is arriving to the Island early on a Saturday Morning . You will beat all the traffic and it gives you plenty of time to get your shopping done for the week. Most places on the Island won’t let you check in till late afternoon. When you plan on leaving Hilton Head Island. Plan on leaving very early on a Saturday Morning. You will beat most of the traffic and have no problems getting on I-95. I personally recommend renting a property on the South End of the Island towards North Forest Beach. The Beaches on Hilton Head Island are absolutely amazing and you won’t be disappointed. During your vacation check out Harbor town, South Beach Marina, ShelterCove, Coligny Plaza and all the boat tours offered. You can utilize UBER on Hilton Head Island and their are Taxi Companies also. There are plenty of restaurants that offer many different types of cuisines. You will find Italian, American, Japanese, Chinese, Greek, Mexican and amazing seafood restaurants. As with any restaurant check out the reviews per yelp, google and trip advisor. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland. I have traveled all over the world with the US Marines, The United States. I definitely know an amazing Island per all my travels. I personally started visiting Hilton Head Island back in June of 2000. I would visit the Island many times afterwards. Every time was absolutely amazing. Now here is the best part of my review. I use to live on Hilton Head Island for ten years. You are definitely getting an experts Knowledge, advice and recommendations. In closing Hilton Head Island does have an air port and a hospital. You can also find emergency care clinics also. If you want to explore the area during your visit I recommend Savannah, GA, Beaufort, SC, Bluffton SC and Charleston SC. I definitely plan on visiting Hilton Head Island in the near future ! Hilton Head Island rates ten stars ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ and more!!! You definitely won’t be disappointed!

The only thing we did not like was the crowds and if that doesnt bother you, its great. Has everything. Free parking close to the beach. Changing rooms, places to wash youre feet. Beautiful sandy beach! But CROWDS!!!

It was very nice I love the walkways for the baby equipment or wheelchair. The weather was perfect. Blowing hard winds just enough to keep you cool. Family of 11 enjoyed.

Wonderful changing and restroom facilities. Walking mat goes from the paved area all the way to the beach so even a wheel chair bound person could get out onto the beach. Benches and porch swings to relax on and free wifi to boot.

Awesome entrance to the beach. Gets pretty crowded right at the entrance so I recommend taking bicycles so you can get away from the crowd quickly. The water was nice and warm in early September but keep an eye out for jellyfish.

The beach itself is wonderful. Ban umbrella! $22 for the umbrella and 2 chairs. He said it was for the day. I asked, how about 4 hours. His answer $22. I asked how about 2 hours. $22. I garantee if someone shows up after we leave in 3 hours, the price for them will also be $22. What a rip-off!!!

Beach itself was very nice. The amenities were great and the free parking across the street was also very good. Does get very crowded is the only knock on the stars. The pathway out to the beach area was also a nice touch. If you could get there early i would recommend it

Its a beach. We are beach people. This beach right now is VERY CROWDED!!! Hardly anyone wearing a mask. Social distancing is very hard because of the amount of people. Lifeguards on duty. Showers and changing places. Can rent chairs and umbrellas.

I love this beach...especially walking on it under the moonlight. It is clean, has beautiful changing rooms and plenty of places to sit for when you are going to the beach or coming back from it. It also has a nice washing station and a set of binoculars to look out to the ocean! It is just a short walk if you are staying in one of its many nice hotels around there! It is also very close to Coligny Plaza! If you havent visited this beach, you really should!!!

We loved this beach! Very clean and put together well! Nice bathrooms that were maintained on the regular. The best part was free parking even late at night.

If you like places full of people go to this place. The parking is two blocks away. It has public restrooms and showers. It also has rugs on the sand that help you get to shore easier.

They have nice clean restrooms and shower areas. There is free parking and the walk to the beach isnt far. All around a nice beautiful place and would most definitely recommend this beach to anyone. I cant wait to go back!

Very nice beach access on Hilton Head Island. You can walk right out to the water on a portable blue sidewalk . There are 6~3 person swings on each side of the walkway. There are showers and changing booths . They also have men’s & women’s bathrooms and faucets to rinse off your feet . The shuttle stops right out front and so does the golf cart trolley. Beautiful beach The kids love the splash pool too.

Lots of shops and restaurants. Limited parking. The lighthouse is small and not a true original lighthouse. Has a nice fishing pier with a shelter and picnic tables. Fishing trips, dolphin site seeing trips and sailing trips available. Nice boats in the harbor and plenty of rocking chairs to sit in.

Clean. Loved the swings in the boardwalk to the public access beach. They have bathrooms, outdoor changing stalls next to the outdoor rinsing showers. Lots of people there, you have to walk a way to get away from people, but then you are also getting away from the lifeguards. Saw dolphins swimming and found lots of sand dollars. It was fun seeing how many I could find... But not really sure if I was just refinding same ones. Beaches clean. People were nice and social distanced - except my children whove never met strangers....

It is very nice, with accommodations for women and men, free WiFi, easy access to the beach, and free parking near by.

Clean beach. Free parking that is within walking distance to the beach. There are bathrooms and changing facilities provided. There is 4 feet cleaning stations and only 2 shower stations which causes a bit of a holdup. There are mats to walk on as you enter/exit the beach area which is convenient cause....burning sand. I would definitely recommend this beach for visitors.

I love this beach. Its never crowded and it is so relaxing and my family enjoy going to Coligny Beach to look for sea shells and walking along the beach enjoying the breeze talking and having fun.

I love that it was clearly marked, FREE PARKING!, open restrooms, a place to rinse off your feet and I believe there is a place to change as well. There are a lot of people ... but its the beach in July so .. Of course it is crowded. Many people sipping, semi sneakily, but didnt seem to be patrolling. I will be going back to this area again.

One of the best beach parks I’ve visited. Very nicely maintained, plenty of place to take a shower and change. Clean easily accessible toilets, plenty recycle and garbage bins everywhere. Bicycle and pet friendly, beach volleyball court. A good place to take a long walk and I spend the night there gazing stars, nothing like it.

I loved it. It was crowded, but it was a great experience to be there. They have free parking, restrooms, place to change. In addition to that, They have close by restaurants. I will definitely come back again.

My husband and I were there on a bicycle ride, wonderful park, great riding as well.
