This beach is very safe, clean, and peaceful. I came from Atlanta on 5/30/2020, Saturday. Left Sandy Springs at 7:40 am. Arrived to this beach at 12:45 pm. I paid $4 for parking with coins at the meter. I changed in the bathroom, which was clean and large. And then I took a pleasant walk through the park to the beach.Thus park has a wheelchair-accessible beautiful playground, multiple picnic tables, swings, slides, etc.There are showers to cleanup, which I appreciated because I was covered in sand and had a 4.5-hour trip back to Atlanta.The lifeguards were super-friendly. People behave, so it’s peaceful and clean. I ran in the beach, I walked, I did a plank, I swam, I met new friends, I ate lunch, and I participated in the baby-shark rescue operation!So much fun!I’m coming back soon.

One of the best beaches on Hilton Head. The tourist all tend to go to Coligny but if youre not looking for shopping for chachkies, and check out this beach. Its less crowded and its absolutely beautiful

Calm, warm water. Beach is huge at low tide. Lots of space and plenty of dogs having fun.

We visited this beach yesterday and enjoyed watching the sunset. It was not very busy and everyone was practicing social distancing. The sand at Hilton head is just right and great for walking and bike riding.

Plentiful parking nice clean restrooms, Decked walkway to beach very scenic . And wide enough to accommodate people walking in the opposite direction. Very clean beach.

Today was our very first time coming to this beach from the Savannah area and at $0.50 an hour, this place was very nice! Our son had a good time, my wife and I did also and I think we will be coming back again.

Very friendly beach area. Its pay to park which is only $0.50 per hour which isnt bad at all. Has a long wooden walk way that leads to the beach. Has bathrooms and an outside wash area to get the sand off from visiting the beach. It was VERY clean not a piece of trash in sight. There was a lot of people on the beach which was to be expected and a lot of sweet babies so I would definetly say Driessen Beach is a great place to bring your family. Not a great place to metal detect because my fiance didnt find anything at all haha, so hope that helps someone wondering about that.

Great Beach. Plenty of parking. Remember your parking spot #, as there is a meter at the entrance to the boardwalk. There are bathrooms, outside shower off area, covered pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills, and playground before the long boardwalk down to the beach. A wagon or beach cart is recommended. Lifeguard on duty during season.

I normally love this beach, it was really crowded today but still Clean..I do wish they would prohibit smoking on the beach and limit that yo certain areas of the parking lot only because my family and I had a hard time breathing the fresh ocean air due to a chain smoker being adjacent to us..I kept coughing because Im allergic to cigarette smoke so we left early..its a shame and I wish smokers would respect the fact that the beach is filled with family and especially children who shouldnt have to deal with that.. they need to really start enforcing better rules concerning this

Really nice boardwalk and beach mat to help pull beach carts out. Bathroom was pretty clean. The actual beach is glorious!

Quiet beach. Not too many people. Always my “go to” when we go to the beach. Parking fees are not bad.

Our go-to public beach. Good parking, most of it shaded by beautiful trees. The distance to the beach is a good trek, but the boardwalk is enjoyable. Safe area. Picnic gazebo for meals. Playground for the little ones.

Very clean beach. It has a playground, bathrooms, and outdoor showers. It is half a football field walk along a boardwalk to access the beach. You do have to pay to park. A lot of the parking spots are in shade most of the day. There is a central meter where you can use cash or credit card.

Found inexpensive parking easily on a holiday weekend. Beach was crowded, but still got a good spot near the water to spread out. Great day! Two minor annoyances: boardwalk to the beach could be a little wider (gets a little congested) and the alcohol policy is a joke. Dont post a ban on drinking without a plan to enforce it.

Sunny summer day on a holiday weekend - we werent surprised that it was tough to find parking early. Poor planning on my part as a mom. But the walk down the boardwalk to the beach revealed a clean, sandy paradise. Tons of people, but lifeguard patrols and even coastguard overhead made us feel someone cared enough to keep watch. All the people at the beach seemed to be there for the same reason we were - respectful holiday fun! No problems, just laughing kids and lots of smiling (tho a bit sunburned) faces! We will be back. Thank you Hilton Head for yet another wonderful family trip!

Tons of parking. Boardwalk directly to the beach. Very busy and fairly crowded. Showers and restrooms right along the boardwalk.

We been here once and found it okay in compare to other beaches around. They have a small play area for kids too. Best thing is that they have pay parking machines instead of parking meters. So you dont have to worry about the quarters.

Lots of reasons to love Driessen Beach...- inexpensive parking ($.50 an hour)- nice clean restrooms- boardwalk and walkway all the way to the beach so you can load all your stuff in a wagon- clean beach that is not too crowded- lifeguards

Favorite beach on HHI. Crowded at times, but arent they all? More laid back than some of the others. Be prepared to wait when parking.

Excellent beach the water was so warm it was amazing. They have nice showers and bathrooms to wash off all the sand on the way out and parking is only 50cents an hour we will definitely be going back the next time we visit Hilton head.

Absolutely amazing beach. The only downside is the walk to the beach, this was the first beach we have been to that you had to walk to reach it.

Pretty beach but extremely long boardwalk and very hard to access. The blue mats are great especially for those who are wheel chair bound but the extremely long walk was hard.
