The beach itself was fantastic and only a short walk up a wooden walkway. When you get to the thick sand, theres a canvas runner so pulling a cart is a breeze! Did not give 5 stars because the parking area is very small and if you dont get one of those spots, its a pretty good walk.
Nice, clean, and beautiful beach with lifeguards on duty. We went around 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM on a Tueaday so it wasnt crowded at all. Took advantage of our resorts shuttle. Parking is $1 per hour and there are only enough spots for about 20-25 vehicles. We went back on a Friday around 11:00 AM and it was crowded. People made sure to space out though. Left early due to the biting bugs, but enjoyed our 2 visits to this beach.
Clean soft sand. Beautiful views. Dogs are allowed on the beach. Just beautiful vibes in the air.
This was a chilling beach stop that we visited around lunch time today. The weather was great and the temperatures was a comfortable 72 degrees. There was more people than we expected especially since it was a Monday...but overall it was a very relaxing time.
Stopped by for a blip of time just to check out the beach. It was pretty nice. Actually have a mat over the sand to walk fairly far out to the beach area. Umbrellas on beach you can sit under for shade.Nice place.
Beautiful beaches, sand, and ocean. Very peaceful. Not that build up. Great time here. Would go back!!
Wonderful beach, very peaceful and family-friendly. A bit more congested than I wouldve liked; although, I did visit during the Labor Day weekend. I guess thats to be expected.
Parking fills quickly (theres not a lot). But the beach is clean, and the mats really help you get out there (not a short walk). Easily accessible.
It is a nice relaxing beach. No masks social distancing instead. Outdoors in the sun no crowds. Just an awesome day to get away from all the stuff pollution we have been living through recently.A good time was had by all I saw.
The beach was great! Parking was nice as its only $1/hr for the spots that are only a few minutes walking from the beach. Nice place for the kids to play as the surf is almost non existent and the the hunt for shells and sand dollars was easy. Definitely will come again.
This beach is one of the nicest on the island. Only a 4 minute walk from our condo. Will definitely visit again.
Hilton head staff do a wonderful job keeping all their beaches in great condition. Excellent life guard service second to none. Go early parking is always in demand after 11 am.
Fine sand, shallow and calm water. Showers and dolphins. What else to look for in a beach.
Nice and clean and peaceful at night just dont like to pay to park
Crowded before sunrise. Just walk here, the parking lots will be full. Beautiful beach tho
Love this place its nice way better then Tybee I drive from Savannah to here an let my 2year old daughter swim around
Beach wasnt crowded and had easy access to showers and trash cans but parking is very limited
My first time at this section of beach The parking was very convenient, along with the blue mat leading up to the beach. It was a bit crowded for a Tuesday morning, but the rain thinned the crowd. The beach was very clean. I will return again.
Beautiful beach, especially at night, no light pollution, many starts and calm waters
Hilton Head Islands Gem of a Beach! Very well kept and beautiful.Had an amazing time there. We will definitely be going back.
Great quiet beach, clean and beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful, even on a cloudy day beach full of shells!
Folly Field Beach Park is a great semi-private beach access that actually has the updated credit card parking spots, unlike other beach access areas on the Island (like Islanders Beach Park which still requires coins). The restrooms are clean and spacious and the rinse off area is large enough for our family of 5 plus one to two other people. The beach is beautiful and the access is well-maintained with quality wood (limiting the risk of splinters if barefoot) and with hard blue rubber walkway leading all the way to the beach, helpful for anyone dragging a cooler, stroller or beach buggy. The views are spectacular and the water was still warm, even in early November! We come hear at least once every time we visit Hilton Head, which we do 6-8 times/year.There are many different beaches in Hilton Head that are beautiful so this is definitely one of many, but it wont disappoint.
It was a beautiful day, beach wasnt crowded, people were so nice. I loved every minute. Five minute walk to the beach
It was a truly amazing beach, You will have to pay for a toll $1 unleas you go around the rolls. Parking at Folly Field Beach is $1 per hour. Make sure to watch out for the Jelly Fish because there are a lot in the area. Also on Hilton Head there are a lot of shops to visit as well.
Here in the off season and loved it. The whole area is a nice change. Be back soon!
A fun, relaxing beach to visit. Large enough to accommodate distancing and chair/umbrella rentals too.
Beach was awesome. Havent been few years noticed the crowds have really increased and its paid parking, however currently suspended due to covid.
Nice place easy to get to. Not to many people. Had a nice time. Looked clean as far as we could see.
This was the only beach access available close to our resort. The parking was atrocious but fortunately the resort offered a shuttle service. The beach was super crowded. The water was murky, the sand felt more like mud than sand and the waves were nonexistant.
Water is warm which was great. Alot of restrictions and do and donts
Beautiful is an understatement. Serene. Tranquility at its best.
It was great beach. Not crowded and enjoyable!!
Beautiful sunsets here.
Hot today but no jelly fish! We found lots of sand dollars too! Threw them back
Wheelchair accessible almost to the ocean. VERY CROWDED... Bathrooms and outdoor showers.
Beach was beautiful. Need more stores or drink machines and food establishments. Also need more parking.
Great beach. Few jellyfish stings today to our party and several others But, thats the ocean.
Great beach with a bar onsite servings frozen drinks
Beautiful beach with alot of family space.
This public beach was pristine and not crowded. The parking lot was small - maybe 12-16 spots. When we visited the parking meter was out of order. So our visit was free. There are restrooms and a shower on the boardwalk between the parking area and the dunes.
Lovely part of Hilton Head.
Beautiful place. Thankfully we found a spot to park.
Parking is a pain. Beach is the same as elsewhere. There is a small playground. 2 beach access points are parking areas
Easy access. Available amenities.
We love where we live!
Clean and easy access. During COVID the public parking is designated to island residents, so plan to park in the paid parking spaces or walk to the beach (as of May 16-19, 2020).
Love Folly Field beach and visit my parents there every year!
While there isnt much parking, if you get lucky and snag a spot, youll be happy about the short walk to the beach. Clean. Seems very safe. I do wish theyd put in a parking system that allowed us to pay/add time using our phones. (For all areas of the island with paid parking.)
Very Beautiful. Did see a lot of jelly fish.
Fun place to go....got a bit more crowded than I expected but was a nice relaxing and clean place.
Nice. Not near as crowded as down the beach. Pup enjoyed sniffing the sand and playing near the water.
Parking is hard to find but its worth it, not too crowded, life guards on duty and you can bring your dogs
Went on the boat and see some dolphins, it was awesome
Beautiful! Low key. Public restrooms. Parking is limited but only $1 per hour.
Really nice beach. Fairly clean. Not really crowded
Great beach access but get there early for a parking spot.
Beautiful sand and surf today
Great beach! Always clean and a fun place to be at low or mid-tide with the family!
Pet And kid friendly. It nice, clean and Head a boardwalk carpet like material. so and tramples through the sand get tiredjust beautiful.
The beach was clean and the weather was great!!
Beautiful..very large beach pay for parking $1per hour
I visited in December and it was chilly so we didn’t stay, took the kids for a short walk and enjoyed the nice views. Seems like a nice place to visit in the summer.
Great beach would go back again
It was a very nice beach except all the dogs that was urinated in the sand
Very nice beach Love it . #Hilton Head Island da Best
Great Beach. Very Clean,White Sands Semi Private. Loved it. Will go back Again& Again.
Great beach, but too many jellyfish.
Easy access with sidewalk to beach.
Great for walks and children in shallow water
Love this beach, wheel chair access to the wet sand, this really helps with beach carts too. They have recycle bins here too which is so smart.
Beautiful clean beach.
Amazing sand and beautiful safe area
I loved Folly Field Beach Park. It was easy to park and pay...It was inexpensive to park there. Its one dollar per hour to park. Its a short distance from the parking lot to the actual beach. There are restrooms available which is very convenient!!! What I loved the most is that it was not crowded! I will be back!
Cant say enough good things about this beach. Love it here!!!
Much better than myrtle beach
Highly reccomend..Beautiful beach!
A very nice and quiet place to spend a good weekend
Incredible beach! Cool shells, big waves, nice people who actually say hello! Parking is 1 dollar per hour. Loved it!
