This is also known as the S.R. Hotel. This is the hotel that the Spinnaker Resorts use to house guests before a sales pitch/presentation. I will say it the room was clean and a nice size. The patio was an ok size with two chairs and a small table. It was clean! That is always good and expected! There were pools, a gym a pond with a water fall & vending machines on site.
The room was old and outdated. The bathroom door was rusting away. The area behind the microwave was filthy. Although the lobby was decorative.
Oh my goodness this place was Wonderful That bed man I slept so good wish we could of took the bed with us. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
We received a free weekend with a timeshare presentation. The SR Hotel was clean and functional. The pool was nice and not busy. It was not a high quality resort but more than good enough for a free trip. They did give us a tour of their nicer facility that they were selling timeshares to. It was slightly nicer in a model set up kind of way. The service staff is amazing! Sweet and engaging. They really made the trip enjoyable.
This place is a joke. The beds are awful, they are old and broke down. The place is very outdated, I expected nicer accommodations considering they want you to buy into it... They are try to sell timeshares, who would pay that much money for such a run down place? The toilet didnt flush, the sink and tub drained slow...They have a nice pond with fish amd turtles in it lol
The building was dated. The wall in the shower was coming off, the tub was rusted, the socket covers were missing, the bed frames didnt match the bed size, the furniture was dated and had plenty of miles. The staff was gracious.
Not cozy at all. At least throw a rug on the floor and get rid of the old dingy couch and stinky curtains. Bed was very uncomfortable. I hate how they lock you into staying there if youve made a reservation. You have to pay them when you make the reservation in order to cancel, or if you cancel, you may lose $150 - $300. It works if you just need a cheap place to stay.
I would like to put -1 but it will not let me. During my three night stay, we had to move four times due to roaches. (The little brown nasty ones). The staff was rude and unconcerned like we should just accept the roaches to be there. One of the many people we spoke to, claimed it was due to the warm weather. No, its due to just being nasty! They didnt want to clean the rooms even when we requested it, they didnt want to inspect the rooms for roaches when we requested it, the maintenance man did not want to unclog the toilet, and the front desk got an attitude with us when we complained. I wouldnt waste your time or money on this place. Ive never ever in my 47 years experienced anything like this. Dont do it!!
It was ok. Walking distance to the beach. Guess get what you pay for lol. It did what it needed to, but wouldnt stay again. It is old. The room was musty & smelled old. Water dripped non stop in bathroom sink. TV kept going in & out the whole time. But was place to sleep & shower & get back to the beach. The staff was friendly.
Rooms were very basic, they installed vinyl flooring over holes in the floor and about turned my ankle when walking on the floor. Showers were dirty with mold in the grout lines. Seems to be an overall lack of effort to keep this property up and is in a desperate need of a renovation.
This place is definitely outdated. They’ve tried to do some upgrades but doesn’t cover up the real thing. They’re cleaning Leaves more than is desired
Decent stay just dated and could use a better layout/signs for buildings and floors.
Unit was nice with a lovely view of lagoon. Bedrooms are good size and living space was more than large enough for 4 adults. We stayed in this same unit last year and also enjoyed it then.
Room was not clean dirty microwave, definitely not up to my standard
The place we stayed was nice and clean. The one drawback is anything metal was rusting away.
Our door had been kicked in before so the lock was broke and the door was very hard to open then hard to close. The room smelled of mold. In pretty bed part of town.
Mold in room had a bad smell and its not a resort its a motel 6 had to change rooms twice and still didnt get the room I was told. I wanted a kitchenette but didnt get it
Not a very well run place. People seem nice but wifi never worked and service was horrible. We had to request towels and was told we needed to go to desk...understandable due to covid. I walk to counter, they take 10 mins to go get them, then come back and say we will have to deliver to you. Called next morning for more towels and TP. Was told it is on its way, never showed up. Pool closes at 5....in july.
We had a nice apartment with a balcony and an astonishing view. The interior was a bit outdated but clean. The pool was not crowded and also clean. We had a parking lot right infront of the building. For a short stay of 2-3 days I would recommend a hotel. But if you want to spend some more time, this is a good place to stay.
The resort and rooms were nice but the areas attractions can be pricey the restaurants and clubs were great
Nice, quiet, clean rental. Very helpful management, if services needed
Dangerous electric outlets, room smells moldy, bugs, older buildings, staff not very pleasant, air conditioning beryllium and sounds like gravel being shoveled, bathroom fan didnt work. Would not go back again
Just an ok stay. A little dated
This the nastiest hotel I have ever been to. The staff is just as nasty as the rooms. There were little brown roaches everywhere: refrigerator, walls, ceiling.....When I complained they acted like the roaches were supposed to be there I was moved four times during my three night stay. I was very disgusted because the s.taff was so disrespectful, especially Heraold the maintenance man. My family and I spent the whole time packing and moving from room to roomt o get away from roaches. I would not advise you go here. They need to be shut down.
Older place. Floor tiles looses and coming up. Beds very uncomfortable. But other than that it was ok.
Nice place large rooms
The rooms were nice but the hot tub at the Players Club wasnt working. Needed it to warm up from the indoor pool.
I have never stayed at one of their resorts so unfortunately my number has been sold. I have received several calls from this number that is in my area code and just a couple of towns away from my. While I started to listen to the callers offer, I interrupted her to say we will definitely be back to Hilton Head, and we appreciate the call, but...THEN she just hung up. Clearly felt she would not be making a sale. Sad thing is by hiring horrible telemarketers, I will most definitely NOT stay in one of Spinnakers resorts.
The front desk staff was cold and unwelcoming. The unsupervised indoor pool was closed for Christmas. The fitness center was closed for the holidays. Spinnaker timeshare invited us here for a timeshare tour but put us up in a hotel room. There was a roach walking across the wall in the room. Hilton Head is for golfing only, apparently!
I loved this place sorry I think I put pictures on the SR Belong here
Nice and clean, the unit was well stocked with towels and kitchen things and so forth.
Always a treat, and the woman we spoke to was an absolute gem!
Concrete bunker room with non working TV.Cable was not connected to wall.
Great vacation spot
The worst place Ive stayed. I would have rather stayed at a hotel 6 or something along those lines. I cant call this place a resort at all. Of all the places Ive been, this was the worse. To top it off, mu wife and I left with bed bugs, an absolute first for me. Never knew they were really real. I guess I can thank Spinnaker Resorts for that!
DONT DO IT!!!Everyone is nice until it is time to select a resort. Several calls made, dates and/or resorts never available. After several attempts over the course of two years I said forget it and want out. Now the fun begins! Endless phone calls from telemarketers asking me to re-up. Unless you want constant calls from an organization that provides ZERO customer service. Dont even speak to them!!!
The front desk was rude and very unhelpful
New resort bldg was excellent, but we stayed in their hotel. We were there for a sales presentation so maybe thats understandable. Hotel was nice but showing its age. It was nicer than the Comfort Inn we stayed at on the way to the presentation.
The place is nice but has no beach, playground, bar or restaurant, tennis court, golf course, boat/kayak/bike rentals on compound. Just a pool and yet they charge $15.00 plus tax a day activities fees for nothing. And didn’t know about until booked and paid for. Not to mention the timeshare sell was very aggressive and deceiving. BUYER BEWARE. For price stay somewhere else
Decent place to stay but if you have high standards, this is not the place you want to stay. I called maintenance 4 times the 1st night.
Enjoyed ourselves beyond description! Hilton Head Island is a beautiful place with more thibgs to do than you can do in a single visit. So my wife and I purchased a Spinnaker Resorts time-share so that we can return again and again. Whatever you do, dont miss out on this answer to dreams.
Beautiful resort. Lots of peaceful places to hang out. We didnt stay here. We were there for a timeshare presentation. We stayed in S.R. hotels, which j my opinion you shouldnt have potential owners staying there if you want to sell the real thing to them. Enjoyed everything we saw on the resort.
They keep calling me, sometimes three to four times a day. They use my area code so it seems like a local call. I have blocked at least 4 numbers from this company. I have asked them several times to put me on their do not call list, apparently they don’t have one. It’s such an inconvenience, they called me several times during my Thanksgiving vacation. They called at least 7 times within a three day period. They keep saying someone named Delaine Buchanan referred me.
Very nice resort, very clean. Could use elevators in a couple of buildings.
Very accomadating. Clean and people are very helpful.
Nice place, enjoyed the visit. My aunt booked it through RCI. Unfortunately for me during their sales pitch my aunt gave them my name and number. I have received at least 20-30calls from Spinnaker over the past couple years and have asked them to stop calling me to no avail (2 calls in the last 3 days). I see a Spinnaker rep sometimes responds to some of these reviews. Sure would be nice if the calls stopped
I was nervous about staying at the hotel because of a few reviews I had read online. However, this has been an awesome vacation!! The front desk supervisor Matt greeted me promptly upon my arrival. Polite, friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure our stay was the best it could be! The rooms were clean and comfortable! The indoor pool entertained our children for hours during our stay. We would definitely recommend the Spinnaker Resorts Hotel!
Resort nice still buyer beware all timeshare pitches
Comfortable beds. Hidden jem at Waterside .
Estetically pleasing on the outside but very poor quality internally. To be a recently renovated establishment, there were visibly corners cut. There were areas within the bathroom that had mold in the ceilings, bad ventilation, flying roaches, old decide that looked like they came from a hotel yard sale 12 years ago. Needs to be torn down completely and rebuilt to modern standard. The idea of a continental breakfast was a joke. Better off taking a box of pop tarts with you.
Horrible so far I still have another day to go there was a baby roach in the bathroom floor and Im so over this place
Inexpensive yet spacious
Nicer resort. Very accommodating what you guys up with an outside number
Do not ever stay at one of these resorts or even ask for any information from them. If you do, you will get endless phone calls that keep coming even if you ask them to not call anymore. I get phone calls at all hours of the day multiple times a day and I have asked over and over for them to please stop calling. All they have done is to insure that I will never under any circumstances ever stay at one of Spinnaker Resorts.
Friendly and helpful staff.Very nice beach but not easy walking distance .Indoor and outdoor pool enjoyed as well as well equipped work out facility.
Owning a timeshare is a joke. you cant use on the days you want. You have to make reservation 365 days to guarantee your spot. When i bought this timeshare the agent says you can use it anytime you want. Flexibility nahhh is only for the resorts not for the owner. You can exchange it but has to pay another dollar to use the resorts . Huge mistake in my life to own this property. Not worth to give 1 star . should be no star at all.
Very disappointed! No wonder I was not told where the approved hotel was until arrival. When we walked into the resort it felt like 1990. I was later floored when told this hotel was recently remodeled. My guess their idea of remodeling is placing faux hardwood on the floors. The ceilings were painted attempting to hide stains. I would NEVER recommend this resort regardless of location. Two positives are the air conditioner & water temperature.
We stayed at Egret Point and our condo was very enjoyable.. The King Sized beds were very comfortable. It was an incredibly beautiful location. We were missing some basics like plates and toner in the printer, but overall it was very nice. I wish we had closer access to the private beach, and closer access to a front desk. The bike paths and walking areas were wonderful.
Good time
Never buy a time share
We had fun. Pool is nice. RENT BIKES its the best thing on the island. Park your car and by bicycle. Its all flat and shaded throughout. Im a big MOM and I LOVED IT!
Quite time! Very relaxing! No action! Great get away! I must say! Collect your thoughts and savor the moment!
It was the worse vacation I ever had. My vacation was ruined because I got bitten by bed bug. The manager didnt do anything for me .He wanted me to pay out of pocket to go to urgent care. He said spinnaker resort will reimburse me back. I asked back for my money what I paid for the package . He did reimburse it . I must say that the facility manager went above and beyond his duties to assure us that our things wouldnt be ruined. My family appreciate that the estermatior talk good care of our personal belongings and the facility manager bought our things to us . Thank you Jacob God bless you and ur family
Went to Branson for first time did not expect the HORRIBLE DEMEANING TREATMENT WE RECIEVED from the person showing us the unit and the rudeness exhibited at the sales presentation.Only Blake was nice and professional .On arrival we were told to go to the French quarter our stay which was then the wrong place we were supposed to stay at the actual Palace View. At the sales presentation we were ASKED HOW MUCH WE WERE WILLing to pay for something like this instead of how much it cost for a week of the timeshare until a sales manager came in and gave us the prices. I have been a pharmacist for 42 years I would never hire the person that showed us the property and I would never do business with Spinnaker ever they impressed me as a terribly run corporation. As far as the rooms at Spinnaker they are adequate but we have stayed in a lot nicer hotel rooms. And the front desk check in Alex was nice and helpful and also Mr. Spencer and Leslie in the ticket sales area in fact their sales of tickets to me was a highlight how helpful and pleasant both were. My sincere reccomendation stay away from Spinnaker and I will be contacting Hallmark were their advertisements were found
Very comfort
They take care of you and your Travel!
Professional, Courteous Staff
Wonderful mini vacation. Greatly enjoyed it and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be coming back soon.
It is not worth the consist phone calls day and night, as early as 7 and as late at 10(At least 2 a day). I have blocked the numbers coming in and they still call from different numbers. I ask to be taken off the call list everytime and the salesman hangs up on you. NOTHING works with this company to make them stop! This is harassment! The resort I stayed in 5 years ago was subpar and gross. The actual timeshare I was shown was more than the cost of a house! So save yourself the aggravation and stay somewhere else!
We arrived after a long hard drive on 95 after dark and not in a good mood. Staff at resort very friendly and helpful. Check in took less than a minute. Place was very nice and more than met our expectations. Really enjoyed the quiet time away from home and the wonderful views. Went to Savannah for the day and had an excellent lunch at Lady and sons. Trip was just what our family needed. 4 days away to relax and enjoy each other.
Beautiful place, quiet, i love love love it.
Stuck in the 80s furniture and little amenities
Its beautiful out here come on down here
This place is awesome. I go every year. Its always clean and well kept and if theres ever a problem, maintenance comes very quickly. Great atmosphere and you have a great view. 10/10
The facilities are very nice and well kept, staff are friendly and helpful and do very well with kids. The only thing I have a problem with is the bed. Its destroying my back, Im enjoy to start sleeping on the pull out couch bed. My wife, however, is sleeping better than ever. So, obviously, the bed issue wont be relevant for everyone.
Very nice and comfortable
The room stinked and the mattress was not connected to the headboard, so everytime you sit on the bed it slightly tilt over. In the middle of the night my daughter got out the bed to use the bathroom and the mattress tillted over while I was asleep and I fell to the floor and hurt my back and shoulders. I call to the front desk to let them know and she just said maintenance dont come in until 7:00 am. She did not ask if I was okay, not did she offer to change rooms. I am still suffering from the fall. My back was hurting and i went to the urgent care and was told I had a pulled muscle.
Been here since 2011 and its a beautiful quiet place in December. Love it. Great memories made that we will cherish forever.I am an owner @ Bluewater resort. My time share has no limits and I can book anytime, however, I choose Decembet as it is cooler, MUCH quieter and feels like I have the whole place to myself lol.Service is great no complaints. No regrets
Do not purchase a Spinnaker Resort package. The hotel is terrible and Spinnaker lies about where you will stay and what you will receive. You will not be staying at the resort and the hotel is a dump.
Pool was exceptionally filthy, grounds not kept, bed was down to springs, furniture was just awful, needs to be replaced, rooms need deep cleaning.
Hilton Head Island is very beautiful.
Paid for vacation insurance and with it came a additional vacation for 3 days and 2 nights. I got the certificate for the extra trip and have missed placed it now the company is saying I never paid for the insurance and it is no extra trip. I have my bank records to prove different and they still say its nothing they can do about it. I suggest everyone use BLUEGREEN VACATIONS
PEACEFUL & QUIET
Nice place to stay,, LOTS of things to do,, beautiful weather
They wasted part of my day when I was on vacation. I made a $40 deposit IN CASH for a tour and was told I met the age requirement initially. This was when I spoke to Treena at Daytona Speedway. We moved through the Daytona tour and area of the speedway quicker than we would have had we not met with her before. Then later after driving to the resort I was then informed I did not meet the age requirement and they gave us a check for my previous cash deposit with nothing to compensate me for my time. They also took down my personal information (credit card) which does not sit well with me after this experience. Very upset with this resort for wasting my time. This is disappointing as we were going to seriously consider visiting this resort in the future as it met all of our expectations initially.
We were surprised when we had to stay at the hotel instead of actually at a timeshareEven though the presentation was impressive, some of the staff were not cordial or welcoming at all. Employees are the first impressions that can make or break a companys reputation.
We booked this hotel with a complete ignorance of Hilton Head based on a whim to take our daughter to the beach one last time before winter. We wanted a space where we could do our own cooking sometimes - easier with a toddler than always eating out - and have easy access to the beach. The condo was spacious with generous amenities, include a large shower in the master with strong water pressure, a nice jacuzzi and full-sized washer & dryer. There were also 2 cruiser bikes per condo for complimentary use, which appeared of very good quality. (We packed our own bikes so did not try them out.) The development is gated with very friendly security/admissions personnel. The entire development was lovely with several large ponds complete with sunning turtles and gators, a well-groomed gold course, pools, and well-kept playgrounds. There were bike paths throughout the development, that were enjoyable to ride, and also direct beach access, though that stretch of beach is currently undergoing renourishment, so not ideal for biking. The local childrens museum (see below), wonderful restaurants, a nice supermarket, and the main public beach access were all easily bikable. We plan to stay here again in future and highly recommend.
Please think twice before buying from Spinnaker as they appear to be overselling and cant accommodate dates that the owner requests, even when given four options. That is my current experience!
Could not get in the building, when another person finally let us in we could not get in the room. So we called,, and were promptly placed on hold.So we walked back across the property to get new keys. Finally got into the room, not nearly worth the high price tag. Sliding door would not lock or unlock without some serious forcing. Beds hard, way too hard. Noisy, we could hear the neighbors on both sides, and more power to them, but some sleep would have been nice.Bathroom left something to be desired as well.Basically Hilton price, Hotel 8 room.
Nice staff
Just checked in at SR hotel on hilton head island. We checked our room before bringing our things in. The room smelled very musty and felt humid and damp. Requested to be moved to another room. Our 2nd room is on the 2nd floor, theres no elevator and it smells musty too! Bathroom is very outdated and the faucet looks disgusting! Hope this isnt a sign of how the rest of our experience at SR goes!
Place was nice but the phone service and wifi was not good in our room.
This ia a fantastic place to stay!! The condo and area was amazing!!
Very basic facility. Everything is passable and staff is very friendly but there is not a lot to do and maintenance is not up to par with other HH facilities. Not bad, but not great.
Needing a Serious upgrade
It was an ok place to stay. Dryer didnt work so well in regard to heating up.
Nice hotel. Reception area was very nice and personnel were friendly and helpful. Rooms are beginning to need refurbishing, especially the bathrooms. Would be nice to have an elevator to the second floor.
They want your timeshare that you own. They sell it for you and they offer a terrible replacement plan that is only as a leacee not a property owner. They lie when they said you had 5 days to cancel your contract with them. It is ONLY 3 DAYS with certified mail with all the booklets, etc. In the package. This business Will dissolve in 20 years giving you NOTHING.
Time sare sales so with that said obveously not interested in getting your business. If you want sales put people in the resort area not a motel 6 knock off. The island is amazing the hotel not staff was nice. I went to ask where i could get forks and was told they dont have any they went green. They serve breakfast every morning. Mini muffins and danishes instant oatmeal skip it go to mcdonalds
Great vacation spot!
