The Naha Stone is not much to look at. And, the walk to the Naha Stone is away from the main tourist district. But, there is not much else to see in Hilo, which makes the Naha Stone the historic artifact of choice for sightseeing.

An arcane epic, found within the library itself of this magnificent Boulder and its adjacent stone of the nahaeupapau. Beloved people, ancient legend rarely told anymore.

After all the hype built up around the legend of the Naha stone, it was great to stop by and see it for real. It isnt marked much in advance, so keep your eyes open to find this significant piece of Big Island history. #letsguide

The history/myth surrounding this large stone is what makes this interesting...Its the Hawaiian equivalent of the British legend of the sword-in-the-stone. Except this is more believable...

Nice place nice atmosphere! This is the Rocks that king kamehameha carried and set it down here!! Quite a feat!! Looks pretty heavy, but it is what the ancient history is! Aloha!

Its a neat cultural attraction, but it really is just 2 big rocks in front of the library with a plaque. Dont expect anything more than that. Its worth walking out of your way if youre exploring downtown hilo or if seeing a culturally significant rock is your thing.

This stone is in front of the Hilo Library. There is a side with the story of it. The amazing parts of the story are that it was brought by canoe to our island and King K the third picked the stone up which provided proof he would be a a mighty warrior.
