Great complex of fields and playgrounds. Creek had ducks, geese and fish, etc. Well maintained and safe.
Love taking the dogs for a walk here. Beautiful area and a stream that the dogs can stop midway for some water!
One of the worst experiences of our Tournament Lives! Have the special chance to host a World Championship, and brought teams in from all over the Country! Parks department got to play God and dictate the fate of 20 teams that all spent over 5000.00 each just to play! Some teams spent way more! To cancel a world Tournament when it could have been played was a decision that cost teams well over 100,000.00 Total! They stole our money! Hendersonville will never Host a Major Softball Tournament again! I put money on that!
Great park. Clean, serene, peaceful.Could use one more set of restrooms on the opposite end.
Nice ball park. Well maintained for the most part and a nice creek to walk along at the edge of the park. If you hang out for a couple of hours you may see the locomotive roll by. Pretty cool!!!
We were just there to walk. Greenway is nice
Great park... If enjoy water theres a creek running along the back side where the soccer fields are... Great place to take a walk and sit on the creek bank and enjoy the water
Good fields and park. Plenty parking and spacious open viewing. Food $5 basic cheeseburger
Decent park for softball. Its old though.
Had my sons soccor tournament here over the weekend. It is a very nice park with multible soccer feilds, baseball feilds. There are two buildings with bathrooms inside them. Theres also concession stands. There is a nice paved path for running/biking and dog walking. Creek runs alongside it just inside the woods where there is also another rough path.
This is a beautiful park to play ball in. (Softball baseball) been coming for years always clean and staff are always helpful
Field 8 is terrible the goal is not ever level at all and that field is terrible uneven
Great Park for softball and baseball. Also you can canoe down the creek. It is beautiful
Great place for kids to be kids and play., playgrounds and lots of fun
It is a big park. Lots of parking. Good seating.
Needs better traffic flow. If there are not police officers directing traffic you can sit there for an hour waiting to get out
Was very nice park and clean bathrooms
This park brings back memories for me. My kids played and practiced soccer and baseball on the numerous fields in Drakes Creek Park over 15 years ago. There have been many updates to the park including a newer walking and biking path. I bring my grandson here quite a bit. He doesnt care for the kids play area but loves to throw the baseball around or just run around the soccer fields. Its usually pretty quiet during the work week though the weekend mornings are the busiest times during the sports seasons.
Its an excellent park and very well maintained. When youre sweating in the worst of the summer heat and you duck into a small bathroom thats well air conditioned, how much better could it get than that?
Nice facilities but fields are like concrete. Very dry,, not watered before games. Lots of crazy hops.
The traffic has been an issue since I was 10 and played there.... 30 yrs ago.
Its a very clean place with lots of room
Great facility very nice ball park.. it would be nice if everyone would pick up their trash and throw it away in the conveniently placed trash can..
Very nice fields and clean facilities.
Yes its awesome but they need to keep those kids off the softball theyve dug up all the batters boxes they have fields for the kids thats where they need to be
Love this park. Something for all ages. My favorite is the paved path around the island.
Nice park. Good softball fields.
I’ve been coming to this park for years. I love the new alarm that rings when the fields need to be cleared because of weather. I got to see this first hand when lightning was in the area the other day. When the alarm rang all of the coaches immediately got the kids off the fields. We even heard it over the train that was going right next to our field! Great addition, safety first!!
1st ever Hendersonville Jam! Exciting night with friends, good food and drink. Great performers for three great causes! Big thank you to all who performed and attended. Next year will be even greater.
Great playground for all ages. New special needs area. Kudos Hendersonville!
Nice, big complex. Only problem is there is only one 2 lane road in and out. Traffic within the complex can get really backed up. Sat for 30 min one night just trying to get out of the complex due to thunderstorms canceling our game. But other than the traffic issue, its a great soccer park that is well maintained.
The fields are super well maintained by park staff. New bleachers with sun protection are nice. The main baseball, softball, and soccer fields are top notch and are some of the gems of the city. Be prepared for poor cell service. Calls and texts work ok but data is super bad. Even with the new 5 g antenna.
Im eating the Hendersonville Soccer Club more than I am the park. The club is awesome. They have an honor the game motto that attempts to focus on the spirit of sportsmanship whole preserving the trill of competition. Way to go!!!
Lovely community park. Ball fields, grassy space, ducks and geese, police on horse... Very nice.
Fields are well maintained. Traffic in and out can be a challenge.
Home of Rawlings SE Mad Mavs ️
Great to feed ducks and birds, they have feeders for 25 cents. Big field, dog parks and fenced playground!
Love this park! They hold the majority of Hendersonvilles events and the soccer complex is awesome. Only problem in the entire park is parking!
What a fun and wonderful place to take the kids! Plenty of space for kids to run and play, walking trails, and feeders for the ducks make it a fun and enjoyable afternoon. The enclosed playground is also well maintained with enough variety.
Nice park, Played USA Mens A Slow Pitch Championships there. Fields were a little far apart. Park people were very nice
Clean & quiet very beautifully
Beautiful varsity field. Half grass & turf. Seats are great. Just wish there was more cover from the main element, THE SUN!
Great park. Well managed and clean facilities.Extremely busy but police handled traffic well.
Great atmosphere for young players. My son plays football and baseball at this park and its always packed with events and sports going on. We also go for the 4th of July celebration every year. Get there early though because so does a lot of other families. Great food and games as well as an amazing fire works show.
Lovely walking paths. Saw seven deer crossing across some of the soccer fields tonight about thirty minutes past sundown.
I just moved into the complex near the park. And I cant be happier. The path allows my girlfriend and I to walk for hours. Its a five mile course, the way we walk it. Could do without the goose poop. But you find that pretty much anywhere now-a-days. In fact, in Ohio, we have it all along the Erie. No matter where a person walks, its just crazy how bad it gets.
Fabulous place for our tournament!!
Well taken care of.
I love this place! Been coming here since I was a child. Lots of fond memories here. Beautiful park. Lots of places to play soccer, baseball. Free Wi-Fi is nice! I know all the grounds crew and theyre some amazingly nice people. And its home to the commandos soccer field.
We love this park and sports complex with one caveat that Ill come back to. The park has a great trail along the creek for running, walking or biking. Its got access to a smaller spring that our kids like playing in. It has a couple of playgrounds and large fields as well. The sports facilities are well-maintained. The only issue is that the traffic on busy days is unbearable. There are two entrances but both feed a choke point. Only one of the entrances has a traffic light and you can end up waiting to exit for over 1/2 hour.
Decent baseball or softball ballpark and nice breezeway for concessions. Restrooms are decent and fields are very well maintained
On a overcast, Saturday morning we had a couple of hours to kill. We found Drakes Creek park, and a covered picnic area. We had brunch and just relaxed as we watched a few brave joggers and cyclists
There is something for everyone here. Rec leagues for baseball, softball, soccer and football as well as a nice greenway for riverside running, jogging and walking. Nearby fishing, shopping, batting cage / mini golf, playgrounds and restaurant options. Its easy to spend a day here!
Lots of parking, good concessions, food trucks, and fields were in top notch shape.
Nice park for activities and walks. Public bathrooms are usually locked. Creek and playgrounds are nice
Lame. Went for the holiday light show and there was literally no light show...it was maybe 12 little light up Christmas decorations. One minute of driving...if even that...literally if you blink youd miss it!!
Love this place a lot of activities to get yourself wrapped up in. I enjoy fishing here (especialy after a good hard rain). Grandkids love feeding the ducks and fishing also.
Beautiful park with a nice shaded area to walk along the creek. The park allows dogs on leash, but there is NOT A FENCED DOG PARK!
Great park! So many improvements for the kids and the families. Love the covered bleachers. Very clean and a safe environment.
Poop. Poop everywhere. Besides that great park for a run. Just lots of poop. The geese have taken over and show no mercy
Very nice park with lots of options.
Hendersonville tn 50th birthday party! Great show!
Our parks are great
Was only here briefly a few times, but a nice park as far as I can tell.
This is an excellent park where you can walk, run or play sports like baseball, soccer or softball as well as ride a bike.. with a nice view of the creek, very clean public restrooms.
Nice multisport complex. Weve played on better manicured fields but the overall facility is nice & clean.
Nice running/walking path
Very nice Park, great for baseball games. That is what we were there for. Plenty of parking as well.
The Freedom Festival is an amazing place to watch fireworks and take the family for a fun event!!
This is a nice open area to take your offspring when you really need to let them run the crazy out. Very spacious and open when they arent playing any sports. Be warned though on game days it can get very crowded. Advisable to get there early because once the soccer crowd starts piling in it fills up fast. Id bring your own water because fountains are few and far between as are restrooms.
Always well kept. A nice place to go for a run, walk your pets and play with your family.
I walk on the greenway here several times a week. Very nice. Can get busy during soccer seasons but that is to be expected.
Plenty of softball fields for fun. Great view of the baby geese.
A great space for youth sports; baseball, soccer and football. The stream is a bonus for fishing.
Has good baseball fields.
Fast pitch softball tournaments in process. Its the place to be...
Great park!
Nothing really changes about this park. They still have ducks everywhere.
Its a beautiful park. Looking forward to the softball.
Love the part but had to go to hot
Beautiful taken care of park
Nice facility. Convenient rest rooms. Ducks are entertaining between games if you want to wander away from the ball fields for a break from action.
Great park!
Great complex, nice soccer fields, parking for a large tourney was inadequate
Fields look good and surface is nice.
Clean and safe for all.
4th of July fireworks are awesome every year!
Went for a granddaughters soccer game, traffic was horrible due to the multiple sports fields, only 1 road and its small, inadequate parking, think goodness her field was closest to the creek so we had some shade trees, it was very hot that day
We spend a lot of time at Drakes Creek Park. Its a great place to walk, run, bike, picnic and enjoy a nice day. It also offers a lot in the way of youth sports through local clubs and organizations (soccer, baseball, softball, flag football, etc.). The only downfall is there is only one long road leading past the baseball fields to the soccer fields. This makes for heavy traffic when leaving the park after soccer games on a busy Saturday.
My kids 2 and 6 had a blast and it seems like a pretty safe park to let your kids play. The people there were friendly and the park is fenced so no need to worry about your kids wandering too far
