Very nice park and a lot of nice people. Managers Ron and Marge are very helpful and try to help you anyway they can. Park is a little on the older side and roads a little tore up in places but all in all not bad. Close to everything good in the Rio Grande Valley including South Padre. Thumbs up.

We performed our Musical Comedy Variety Show here tonight. What a lovely bunch of people! Those who braved the cold weather to see us had some great laughs!!! The manager, Ron, was very nice and accommodating re: our needs. Margaret, the Entertainment Director, was also quite accessible and gracious. The park appeared to be well kept. And we loved their new cover-up curtain on the stage! It hides all the necessities needed for an active community.

Posted 3/18/17 If you want peace and quiet, this park is NOT the place to go. Trains blast their horns loud, jet planes fly over, ambulance and police cars sound their sirens and loud cars race up and down Harrison Ave. all this happens all hours of the day and night.This is an older park and they have only one water shut off valve and it turns off the entire park anytime there is a water problem. I came here in November and the water has been shut off for repairs about a dozen times. The people are all friendly and so is the staff. I wont be coming back here because of all the noise.

I met the owners today when I showed up after office hours. They were wonderful. They allowed me to move in for 3 months at a great price. Within 2 hours I had met several neighbors that helped me with the set up issues I had like why water hose leaked/sprayed water. O ring missing. Quick trip to WalMart and problem fixed.I feel welcomed!!!!!! Thank you new neighbors.

Nice place to park, mostly friendly people. Sites for the RVs in the front are very close, the back sites are much better! Bring your own WiFi set up though, unless you dont mind sitting in the Halls just to go on the WiFi! They do offer a lot of activities especially if you like card games!

Eastgate was advertising a special on their fence that caught my eye. I decided to go in and inquire about it. The lady who talked (down to me) was extremely unwelcoming. I even told her she made me feel very unwelcome. The deal she said was for winter texans. Well, I live in the same town and I told her I wanted to put my RV in the park so I can rest and use the pool and camp out. She said I could not do that. She would have to talk to the owner. But, never suggested to call him, or help me in any way. I got the impression she was wanting people her age only I felt very discriminated and told her that. She tried to make me feel better, but by the third word it was not in her character to be nice. Not sure what to think, but if she is a reflection of the staff or even folks that are there I would not want to be around that mean, hurtful, negative energy. I was there on 6/19/2017. Oh by the way I went to Fun N Sun, and they welcomed me with open arms. Were excited to talk to me, and shared all the great amenities with me.Maybe that eastgate employee was having a bad day. Sorry to say she ruined mine.

A quiet retirement community for people 55+ and older. It was nice, just drive slow

Very very poor experience with this park. 3 winter Texas couples made reservations in September 2017 to stay at this park starting at the end of December 2017. We are currently staying in Rockport Texas and decided on a rainy day to drive to Harlingen to check out this park. What we found was broken concrete pads barely big enough for 2 of our rigs and the 3rd site not nearly the right size. When making the reservation Marge said there was cable and WIFI at the sites - no internet at the sites. You have to sit in the clubhouse to use the Internet and if you have a trailer you’re pulling they will offer to rent you a storage place for an additional $30 a month. Oh and they’ll offer you a company who will provide you internet at an additional monthly fee. So the 3 couples asked for a refund. After jumping thru hoops and sending the request in an email for the refunds the owner, Joe, gave a directive to office staff not to talk to any of us and he would be in contact. The manager could or would not say when the owner would contact any of us, just that she was told not to talk to us. So, Joe, why are you avoiding us? Are you planning to double dip? Keep our $750 and retention the 3 spots? Very sad! Now I understand the other review on Yellow Pages that gave poor review. Your park is old, dilapidated and not very understanding so I will continue to post reviews to keep others from being duped into giving you large deposits that you must be living off of in upscale Tucson AZ. Very sad!!
