My favorite nerd stop in the park. Here you see a view of a hanging canyon (this canyon is perched higher than the main Colorado River valley below). Very rare since hanging canyons are usually associated with glaciation.

Gorgeous view. Nice sunny day when we visited. Not overly crowded, in fact, we didnt run into anyone else out of their car while we were there. Social distancing is the phrase of the day, but we just recently relocated to Grand Junction & were going a little stir crazy. Its a nice drive with some beautiful views.

Love it Theres the description to express the beauty of this place you need to see it if you can explain the beauty of nature good for you but I havent find the words to express really Gods creation.

One of the lesser known parks in Colorado, it is just beautiful.

Very beautiful, great for night drives if youre wanting to see the city at night. Not a whole lot of traffic, occasionally friendly people, other than its mostly quiet and a great place to clear your mind!

The view was amazing. Nothing like ive experienced before. Ive been to colorado but never visited the red canyon overlook. I will definitely be going back soon.

This was extremely difficult for me to get to. I normally dont have an issue with heights but when youre driving along a road and theres a 500+ ft drop off not more than 20 feet from your vehicle and theres no guardrail between you, well, it freaked me out a little. I would still recommend making a trip up to see it though. Good luck!
