Small trail system with a unique ecosystem. Very oak Savannah. Great for a night walk for star watching. Low light pollution for the location.

Nice, short, straight half mile turn-around-and-come-back trail. The western half of the trail has mature forest. The eastern half has been logged--you can see the rows of stumps. Its interesting to see how its coming back. There is a place to park with some trail info on 104th Ave. just north of Bass River Rd.If you are walking the trail, youll probably find yourself walking on the side of the trail since the loose sandy dirt is not easy to walk on. Bikes will have difficulty too unless you have fat tires. It would be good for horses and judging by the footprints and other evidence left behind, it has been used for this.

Great little piece of land to walk. Outside of a little traffic noise here and there, you could easily feel like you were much deeper in a forest then you are. No improvements to speak of on the land that we found.

Nice place for a quick walk. Watch out for poison ivy and be aware this is a dedicated lot for hunting in-season.A recent prescribed burn of the area has brought new life to the forest. Blackberries and lady slippers can be seen here. Dont pick the lady slippers as it is illegal. Enjoy grapes also but you have to walk through poison ivy to get them. Know what it looks like before visiting here.
