Chinook Pier is one of the little gems of Grand Haven. Its not too out of the way, and during the summer its a perfect place to visit.Its easy to overlook though because most people only focus on the train when they pass by... What they dont know is that to the left of the train are a number of little shops lining the pier. Everything from a miniature golf course, ice cream shops, rental shops, and gift shops line the pier but because of the other shops in front you cant really see most of whats behind.Almost all of the stores close during the late fall and winter, only opening during the spring and summer seasons, but even then its a beautiful place to visit on a clear day.On Wednesdays and Saturdays (I think) you can even enjoy the occasional Farmers Market next to the train.This spot is just great... :)

Nice area in grand haven. Mostly fishing charters out of this area. Putt putt golf course here. Wasnt open.

All the buildings that were here have been demolished due to a mold problem. The businesses have relocated. Some into the downtown area and some into the historic train depot down the street.

Nice boardwalk along the water with some very unique gift shops and food shops.The grounds are kept up very nicely!

The Saturday farmers market is really good with a diversity of items to purchase from kettel corn to coffee, vegetables, fruit, cheese, and amazing mushrooms.

Sadly it is all gone, buildings torn down. Some stores relocated to the train depot and downtown.

Great place to begin a walk to the lighthouse. Park in the lot. Follow the river west. Great variety of munchies and sundries in the buildings along the pier. Be sure to stop into Barefoot Daves for the best quality shirts in town. Farmers Market on Saturdays makes it difficult to find a space, so evenings are best for parking, unless theres a special event. In that case, get there early.

The Chinook Pier is a fun stop while in Grand Haven with your kiddos, the big train is always fun to stop and check out and take a few photos in front of it. Behind the train is a cool park for thor family to enjoy. We always have stopped here in Grand Haven, its just another family favorite vacation spot. Stop down the street to the dancing waters for a continued night of fun for the family.

Beautiful park, lots of boats and greenery. I love walking the boardwalk. Definitely a favorite place to walk the dog. Plus the train is incredible!!

Chinook Pier is a great place to take your family. Catch a glimpse of some of the fishing boats, maybe even see a fisherman washing his catch. Or see the vintage train, let the kids play in the splash pad, or gran ice cream along then water.

This place no longer exists. It was demolished due to mold and high water.

The area around the pier was full of shops, food and a great museum tucked in between. And a great Eagles club nearby!

I dont even know what Chinook Pier is. It must be part of somewhere else that I went instead. So I dont know what to say because I dont know what it is. My best guess is Grand Haven State Park, but I didnt even go close to the pier and it could have just as easily been a dozen other places I went.

The little park has a nice eating area with a play set for kids. Also boasts the best soft serve ice cream just 1 minutes walk away.

Brought our grandkids out to this park, they spent about 45 minutes playing on all the new playground equipment. When it was time to leave they were very upset. I think they could have spent the whole day there. There ages were 11, 8, 4

Relaxing stroll you can have on this pier. Pitty that the city did not consider necessary to leave open at least one public restroom in the off season.
