Looking for a place to just get away and enjoy a few minutes of tranquility? Then, go to one of the parks at Lake Lanier. No, there are no fancy rides or rows of fast food trucks. But there are picnic tables, shade and a beautiful lake with pleasant breezes. And if you want to soak some bait, there might be a fish or two in the water - youll need a fishing license. There may be a modest entry fee, though they were not taking any today when my granddaughter went.
The park is clean and has ample parking, a solid dock for boarding your boat and nice wide launch ramps. For those with children there is a beach area for swimming and sand castles.
Clean and beautiful! Seems like a safe place to enjoy the outdoors with kids.
Lovely area, not too crowded, plenty of parking and picnic tables, clean restrooms.
Great place to put boat into the lake. If you are lucky, you can see several Bass boats either leaving out or returning in with their catch for Bass tournaments. Clean park with restrooms and a beach.
Park is nice just needs to be clean from all this storm and thrash.
We go there several days a week to walk dogs on leash and let grandkids run.Very relaxing.Very friendly people around and beautiful scenes of lake.only pet peeve is people who dont have dogs on leash for older folks walk here as well as kids.
Quiet, somewhat off the beaten path local park on Lake Lanier in Dawson County, GA. Small beach area, boat ramp, picnic tables and grills. Convenient parking and clean restrooms in a shady, tree covered area right on the lake.
Great place to have family gatherings or just a relaxing day out. Pets welcome on leashes. Picnic areas with BBQ pits.
This was awesome! Found a place with a picnic table and grill so close to the water! (Thanks to my sister) Lanier can get crazy busy and crowded, we had a nice spot for everyone from the babies to the adults.
Cute little park with a shallow swim area, a couple boat docks, a boat ramp, and lots of parking
Very cool little park with a boat dock and a beach plenty of fishing spot
Very calming location with good views
The park is nice. I used it to launch my boat to see the 4th of july fireworks. What I really hate about the park is that there is no lighting at the dock or ramp. Thankfully the moon was full and my nav system got me back. How can a 24hr park which provides lighting for the bathroom and parking lot not have anything for boats. Coming from florida every ramp there had a dock right next to it. Not 20 or 50 ft away and with lighting. But since the park is convenient and has amenities I give it 3 stars.
Really upset that you can no longer pay with cash. My purse and wallet are the last things I want to take to the water with me, so when you bring just enough cash to get in and they no longer accept it, makes for some really upset kiddos. PSA not everyone has credit/debit cards. Thanks so much for the little sign in the window of the closed shack.
Very nice area with benches and a place to swim
You charge people when we already pay tax on this park! Now you only take credit cards.... keep on over taxing the American people...better yet, read a book. Might I suggest one on the Revolutionary War.
Good place for boat. 4 ramp.
They have a really good walking trail, nice picnic areas, and no kids playground. But there is a small beach.
Love picnicking at this park, stellar views.
This is a Great place to walk your dogs!
Three nice boat launches. Easy access to docks opposite boat launch for loading. Ample parking.
We rented the picnic area for my sons birthday party and fishing. It has water, electricity, and beautiful views. It even has a place for horseshoes.
Clean safe
Nice and peaceful although be sure to have a protection from rubbers to guns
Easy in, easy out. Rarely crowded. Love the docks with the new composite decking.
Nice little beach! Not very crowded, plenty of parking!

I tend to avoid this park on the weekends, as it can be very busy, but on the weekdays, you can almost have the whole place to yourself! Plenty of space to put a boat in the water or have a scenic picnic.
