I had arrived to the building and it looked really sketchy, like the building looked abandoned. I called and a guy answered the phone told me how to get to the suit I got there and all the doors were locked I tried calling multiple times and he never answered.I drove around the building multiple times looking for any signs and only saw three cars that belonged to three telemarketers working in the office nearby. It’s really sketchy and a waste of time and money I highly do not recommend.

My first time doing such an event + wasnt sure what to expect. Would definitely do it again. You get into faster then you think. Thank you Taryn for being our hostess. It was a good family activity...6 of us ages 5 to 64!

FUN FUN FUN!!First time doing this..no idea what to expect, but the guy working there was awesome helping us understand what to do. It was cool being together with our familys and seeing how working together can solve all!!!

The teams customer service was great! We were originally a group of 8 but one person was unable to make it and they kindly refunded us for that one person. Unlike other places Ive been, they also provided a practice run in the beginning to acquaint you with the puzzles that youll encounter. We ended up doing Spellbound (because the AC in The Crash wasnt working) and finished with nearly 20 mins to spare. The setup seems great for anyone whos just starting to get into escape rooms. For those more experienced, The Crash is supposedly the harder room (and is on our to do list!).

Great fun in a nice size group if your a gamer, youll have a awesome time here! Geri was a great host too.. Its upstairs

This was our first time, so I’m not sure what a normal escape room advisor is like, but I’m pretty sure we had the best one imaginable! His name was Glider (not his real name, he just has squirrels at home). Super patient!!!! He was like genuinely proud of us, like not condescending, we felt amazing when we finished that room. The puzzles were super challenging, but not impossible. I honestly couldn’t have had more fun, we’ll definitely be going back to experience the other room. So hoping Glider is there to help this time .

We had what it took to escape at the Escape Key! My family and I did a private puzzle room and it was the first escape room experience for all 6 of us. This was perfect for the entire family, including a 5 y/o. Taryn, our guide/room operator, made the whole experience great and I dont think it would have been the same with anyone else. Although the location at first looked sketchy, the puzzle room and puzzles were all top notch and I would highly recommend Escape Key to anyone (all ages) who likes puzzles. P.S.- Thank you Taryn for your time and patience with this boisterous family of 6.

Such a fun experience! We had ages 10 - 72 in our family group and everyone enjoyed the challenge. Futon gave those of us who were novices a great pep-talk.

First time at an Escape Room and must say we had a Blast! The 6 of us did the Cyber room and did need hints on some of the clues! Taryn, our helper was Amazing! Definitely couldnt have completed the room without her help!! Must think outside the box when you go!! Will be back!!

Came here yesterday with a friend and had AN AMAZING TIME! This was my first time in an escape room and it could not have been cooler! The puzzles are fun, interesting, and definitely take some time and thought! The staff was awesome as well! Taryn and Jim had awesome attitudes, answered every question we had, and were happy to help with hints when we needed them! All in all, it was a GREAT time! We will definitely be returning as often as they change the games!

A couple of friends and I came to Gainesville for a week for vacation. on our last day we decided to go to Escape Key, and it was the best idea we had because we had too much fun! the puzzle we did was really exciting, defiantly made us think! Shaina helped us! she was super friendly & funny! after we escaped, we got to paint a key and hang it up! Highly recommended this place!!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Escape Key! In fact, we had so much fun that we did two rooms back to back! The puzzles were quite challenging and Maurice, our wonderful helper, was more than happy to give a hand when we were stuck. The ambience of the different rooms also made our experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for something new to have a good time with your friends, this is the place to go! Highly recommend, Maurice was the best!

Went with my partner because weve been to one other escape room and enjoyed it so we wanted to try another. Futon (sorry we never asked for your name, but you were really cool) was really helpful with trying to help us escape in time since it was just the two of us and we were cautioned beforehand we might not finish in time. We really loved the challenges and the theme of the room and were already in talks of going back!

Escape key was so much fun! I didnt know what to expect when we entered the Spell bound room but it turned out to be a really great time. All of the clues were well thought out and fun to piece together. Maurice was our room director and he was great! Cant wait to go back. Going to recommend it to friends and other families. We celebrated our grandson’s twelfth birthday by participating in the Crash escape room experience. It was our first time going to the Escape Key Gainesville location. Three out of four of us had never done an escape room.We were so impressed from check in to group picture at the end. Tara and Shana were absolutely wonderful.We appreciated the pre game practice and the professional encouragement. The Crash experience is definitely mind boggling! We would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to challenge their minds.We are looking forward to returning for another experience soon. Keep up the good work! Thank you!

I’ve done both Spellbound (two people) and Crash (four people) now! I really enjoyed both experiences. Spellbound was great for two people. We escaped with 10 minutes to spare and no hints used. Crash was definitely more challenging, but we made it out of that one too. Our guides have both been wonderful and I found the rooms to be interesting and fun!

My son went with a group for his 14th birthday- they had a great time and Shaina Was fantastic!! We will definitely go again and try the other rooms!

This was our first time doing an Escape Room. My husband and I had fun. It was a little challenging, but Taryn was nice enough to provide hints.Tip: Its better with a group.

Its a little pricey at $30 a person for an hour but we had a blast and it was a different experience was fun and stimulating! Definitely out of the ordinary for something fun and different.We choose the Spellbound room. Sam, JeQa and Maurice were all very kind and supportive and said they enjoyed watching us work together as a couple. We did not finish because it was just my husband and I but we got really close and they were impressed with how much we managed to do as a couple when the room was designed for 6-8 people. They guided us through the rest of the room and let us finish it. (A suggestion I would recommend for smaller groups would be to allow extra time to compensate for lack of extra people? Maybe?) If we had one more person with us, we probably would have finished the room in the time allowed. Id estimate we needed maybe 15-20 more minutes for the two of us.My husband and I would like to offer ourselves as beta testers for new rooms if you need them :) wed love to help in the future. Maurice said you have our emails.

I just did The Crash with 7 of my colleagues. It was super fun and the puzzles were clever! Decorating a key after you finish was a nice way to end the experience. I’d love to come back and try more rooms!

A very fun time for a group. The setting and lighting was moody and fitting for the theme. The employees were welcoming and helpful. I recommend this for anyone looking for a great group activity.

This place was amazing, I can’t wait to come back and do more rooms. I called because I had a few questions and Brent was able to immediately assist me and he even helped me with reservations. Once we got there, Kyle helped us through each question my group and I had, and kept us on our toes when it came to solving the room. The experience was one of a kind and I’m so excited to come back. Excellent customer service, even though it seems like the first challenge is finding the location of Escape Key!

This was a great birthday present! I enjoy online escape rooms but I did not know what to expect from a live one. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how well designed it was! We had a lot of fun looking for clues and putting pieces together. It was elaborate and stimluating! Also G and Kyle were very supportive and attentive. It was a great experience!

Shorty was great host for our first game at Escape Key. They puzzles were both different and challenging from what we had seen before. We beat the room and had a great time.

Came here during my graduation from UF. I am an avid escape game player, and we did Crash. We finished in 30 minutes. It had great puzzles, a good array of types. Several were very creative and were things I hadn’t seen before.

First time ever doing an escape room and we had an absolute BLAST. I highly recommend it. The staff was super friendly too :)

Escape key was tons of fun. We went through the crash room and the puzzles were really challenging. We didnt actually make it out in time but Maurice was more than willing to show us the rest of the way through the room and we still had a great time. Over all, way worth the money and would totally recommend to other friends. He even gave us some discount cards to come back and try out the other room!

Great example of an escape room done well. I greatly enjoyed the mix of puzzles and how each member of our party was able to contribute. We were a group of 5, and I probably wouldnt want more then about 6 at one time. Less than 3 might be a bit too hard for some of their puzzles.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. We did ‘Crash’ and thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles in this room. There were plenty of puzzles that were challenging but doable even for two people. Shania and Taryn provided great customer service as well.

Wow, my whole group had a great time! Sam is the man! He really made the experience enjoyable. The only thing we didn’t like was that some of the clues were broken or didn’t light up properly so we really couldn’t figure it out unless we were told what it was supposed to say.

We had a great time! Tarin (terrin? Sorry Im horrible with spelling!) Was so great. She allowed us to work it out on our own, but also asked if we needed hints here and there to check in towards the end. We made it. Out at 52 mins and 12 secs! Will definitely be returning for another one!

Super fun - the puzzles require actual thinking and arent just brute-force until you get it puzzles. I hope they create more rooms because I will definitely be back!

Escape Key is one of the best escape rooms my wife and I have ever been to. The host does an excellent job explaining the rules and expectations. After having done over 30 rooms across Georgia and Florida, we were amazed by the originality and difficulty of Escape Key - not one puzzle in the room were something we have encountered so far. We found all the puzzles to be very clever and well-done. The clues are straightforward and there were no red herrings. We will be back for their next theme!

I loved escape key! We came here for something different to try for a birthday party, and we were not disappointed, even though we didnt get out in time! Brent was a great host and was hilarious. Weve never done an escape room before but now we cant wait to do another.

I would consider myself an “Escape Room Enthusiast”, so I’m normally a little more critical than most people are... but Escape Key really just did an excellent and efficient job at being a creative and challenging game. I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute best I’ve ever been to, but it’s very easy to recommend this location as a great job.

Our reservation changed as we booked it to a week later and we didnt realize they didnt take same day reservations. Paid. Got there and they couldnt do anything about it. Didnt want to refund our money. Finally got 70% back. Wow. Thanks for nothing

My first escape room and definitely not my last. I went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, had an absolute blast. We did Spellbound. Any concerns about not being totally into it or being absolutely overwhelmed fled near instantly once we got to breaking down some puzzles. The person in charge at the time, Shaina, is a sweetheart. She wasn’t too revealing with clues, only giving us the right push. She chatted with us afterwards, too, and her personality is absolutely lovely. Would love to go again for the other escape room!

My friends and I had a great time. We did the internet/sci-fi one and solved it, albeit with some extra time added. A couple parts of the room felt a little cheap, but nothing that detracted from the experience. Well be back for the other one at some point. Only true complaint was the difficulty in finding the place, but the confirmation email explained well enough. Thank you Jimmy/Futon!
