Beautiful hiking trail in wonderful wildlife nature. At the beginning you can use the boardwalk, in the end, you are walking beautiful nature trail leading to the observation tower. You can see a lot of interesting animals that are quite uncommon to see in the open nature for European like me. And we really see plenty of alligators. Recommend to walk this to everyone.
A lack of fossil fueler access points provide for a remarkable plastic n aluminum free experience. This once steamboat navigable lake drained naturally at the Alachua Sink in the previous century and has reemerged as a canoe and birder paradise. Massive floating islands resembling icebergs assemble and break apart in the wind making for an exciting adverture. Note: alligators are best in class and all pro.
Accessible via the La Chua Trail, this is a great spot to rest and take in the view of Paynes Prairie below. If youre lucky, you might get to see the wild horses grazing in the prairie.
