The building was closed due to renovations and the grounds were grown up and the water was green. I had been there a few years ago and it was fine then, I am sure when they finish renovations it will be nice again. It is some interesting history there and unknown to outsiders
Great place for a good walking and running. It connects to to Depot Park and the state park next door. Hopefully some funding goes into a repaving project soon. The trails are a little uneven due to growing roots. Would not recommend roller skating /blading on this trail unless you have street skates.
Great place. Really cant wait until Renovation.
Great place to visit the trails are great!
It needs maintainance and renovation. Could be lovely. Otherwise good entry point to trails.
Love this place, good for biking.
Great quiet park for a picnic or a kids birthday. Lots of room. Bike trail runs right through it. Perfect for taking lunch if you work in the area. A lot of history. A beautiful park.
Boulware Springs Park is a nice little park. Always clean and picked up. They have a nice little bathrooms that are always clean. Next to the spring they have some seating for picnics or just to sit and look around at all the old trees with moss on them. If you are into walks or bike ride they have some good trails to take some are pretty long but very nice. They have mile markers and water fountains along the way witch is pretty cool. All and all a very nice park to visit thier is no ranger or anyone at the park so I would recommend coming with a friend for safety.
Beautiful little spot connected to the La Chua trail.
Wish it has more benches/water fountain on long hike mostly in full sun
Nice biking trail with over-watches to the nearby sweetwater and paynes prairie.
Cool park
Its all boarded up now
Great place to take a stroll.
I did a natural Florida foraging seminar
Nice stop off on a lazy day.
Honestly its a great place to make out at
Oh my goodness! This is such a beautiful and humble location.
A neat little Florida gem
Nice starting point or rest stop for the Hawthorne Trail.
Great spot to go to with your kids.
Nature preserve park. Nothing fancy.
My choice in cycling training. Its also a great place to walk, have a picnic and walk the Hawthorne trail.
Great trail for walking, biking or skating. Trail is clean, wide and well maintained. Easy wheelchair access. Come early to wild turkey, deer and lots of small wild life. Heavy tree canopy provides lots of shade. ONLY negative, needs more restrooms on the trail. Highly recommend this for anyone.
Great bike path to Hawthorne!
Gainesville FL got all of its water for many years from this beautiful small spring.
Long trails, great for running or biking. Water fountains placed frequently on the trail. Mile markers also placed along the trail, which goes all the way up to Hawthorne.
Pretty nice place
Boulware springs is a natural artesian springs that used to be the city of Gainesville Floridas water source. It has a preserved historic building to visit, picnic tables and is connected to the Hawthorn trail through the trailhead parking area.
It is adjacent to the Gainesville Hawthorne Rails to Trails bike path and it has a water fountain
Amazing
Building is boarded up & bathrooms closed
Been coming here since a lil boy
Beautiful. Perfect place for a nice walk.
Really pretty park and Rail Trail. You can have a wonderful mostly shaded bike ride here and there are benchs and bathrooms and parking on site.
Be in for some interesting stairs
I havent explored the whole park yet, but it is really nice! Cool place to have a picnic
You can stand in the heat and mosquitos and watch the cool spring water flow by. Liberals forbid you to touch it lest you spoil it for the mosquitos.
This has been the starting point for many many of my weekend long runs over last few years. Amazing place to meet equally amazing people .
Very pretty ebony women
Boulware Springs is a very cool historic Archaelogical site. And if youre from riding or walking the Hawthorne Trail, the water fountains are super cold.
Great walk
There used to be fish. Giant fish! Theres no fish anymore except tiny minnows
Its quiet. Not a lot of people here from 11:00 to 12:00
Great bike trails
This is a very nice park. I like to come here and look for sparrows in the winter time.
Great bike trail!
Nice preserve. They have an ongoing long leaf pine restoration project on site. The waterworks is a piece of local history. Theres an entrance to the Paynes Prarie sink nearby.
Its a little spring, but its ours. Dont forget the insect repellent.
Thieves smashed our car windows and stole our belongings in broad daylight after we parked on the main street. At the sheriffs suggestion. (not safe to park INSIDE the park he said.) A couple of vagrants aimlessly wandering the bike trail. NOT a safe place to be. Watch out.
Peaceful, lots of wildlife.
Pretty place to walk your dog in the morning!
Easy access to the trail.
Great Outdoors park, trails and scenery!
Not much to see but it is nice
Best place to start on the hawthorne in my opinion.
Its a nice spot to access the Hawthorne trail.
I liked learning about Gainesvilles first source of water
The free water flowing.
Beautiful trails the waterworks is really cool!
Nothing really there except a trail head and a building.
Love the history here and the beauty of it all!
Great view
Has lots of water
Am I dreaming?
Nature is clean
It was alright
Love the hiking
Pretty walk
Its cool
Very picturesque
Looks very historical, has a building for events it looks like?
