Neat little park. Very popular during the warmer weather; you will often see fishing, swimming and other water activities along the shore.Small soccer pitch. Good parking area that is handicap accessible.Part of the Fredericksburg Parks system.

Beautiful place to visit

I stopped by to pick up some driftwood for my crafts because it floods regularly. Most people come to swim in the Rappahannock.

This a nice park grilks, limited parking Sandy beach, NO LIFEGUARDS. Currently this beach is not open due to flooding of the Rappahannock river. It is in Stafford County so best to call before venturing out. If you do go remember this is a tidal river to the bridge. The current is swift in and out. Even though it isnt a side river in town DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS IT. THE UNDER CURRENT AND ROCKS AND OTHER DEBRE FROM THE STORM IS HAZEROUS. Many people fish from shore.

I picked up a bag of litter and the water was disgusting in places where the water wasnt rushing by but barely tolerable in the rushing areas we went back to the pool at the hotel

Not the best quality of beaches but they have a staff who is there during the busy season who helps maintain it.

Why go far to the beach when theres a river u can go swim to......nice and calm water.... weather permitting...
