This place is awesome! Very reasonably priced admission. $13 for my wife, my daughter and I to enjoy a few hours of indoor/outdoor beauty ranging from regional plants to plants of desert and tropical climates. Highly recommend a visit. We are visiting close to Halloween and they have a cool fall display with many photo ops!

This place was very cool. Park in the parking garage and they will validate your parking pass for the whole day. It is only 5 dollars a person. Definitely a cheap and cool experience that takes about 20 to 25 minutes to walk through. There is a small honey bee exhibit which was very neat. Definitely worth a visit if you have never been there before.

Love the variety of plants and flowers at the botanical gardens. Kids activities are usually pretty good too, but not this time due to Covid restrictions. Outdoor garden and activity areas are a nice addition in the last several years. The Botanical Gardens also now has a small plant shop too if you are looking to pick up some kitchen herbs or common plants.

Lovely place to visit while in Ft Wayne. We spent about an hour meandering through the different habitats while enjoying a hot tea from the cafe attached to the souvenir shop. Staff was friendly and helpful. It’s definitely a place worth visiting during cold winter days especially if you have young children. Our teens enjoyed themselves too! Entrance fee is nominal and purchasing a membership offers many options including music programs during the summer.

A nice set of gardens, and a relaxing way to spend a spare hour or two when you have the time. The gardens are laid out with three indoor sections, each with a different theme, and an outdoor section. During our visit there were many plants in bloom. There are signs which tell visitors what the name is of the species of plant you are looking at.Being in the middle of the city means there is little free parking nearby.

This has always been a favorite place to visit and other than the obvious heat, which is totally expected of a conservatory, it was a beautiful visit. We did family pictures with our daughter and her new husband and loved it in there. Plenty of variety and unique spots for taking pictures. There were so many butterflies outside they were landing on us. The staff was great and the gardens beautiful. They really do need more handicap parking at the building though, there are 3 spots in a little drop off area and thats it.

The first thing I noticed when stepping into the gardens, was the sweet smell in the air. It was coming from everything that surrounded me, but mostly the fragrant Italian rosemary plants with her little white flowers. My stay in Fort Wayne Indiana was quite short, but Im very glad that I took the time to stop by the Botanical Conservatory. It is a wonderful thing to behold, a perfect place to sit and contemplate the beauty of nature. I only wish I had more time, then I would have read my book in one of the the most peaceful, beautiful places. They had a very good variety of plants. Of course I was a fan of the many fruit bearing trees yes. They even had a Cocoa Tree! But the most interesting to me was a fruit that Ive never heard of or ever seen before in my entire life, and I pride myself on having tried many exotic fruits and vegetables. A jaboticaba fruit tree. If Im ever back at Fort Wayne Indiana Im definitely coming back here!

Im sharing my experience with booking the venue for 12/12/2020. I put a deposit down in Sept 2019 to reserve the venue. I was told that December is the slowest time of year but wanted to make sure I had my spot reserved. Come January we had to make the decision to cancel our venue and wedding 11 1/2 - months before the date. I asked if it was possible to get some type of refund since its so far out and unlikely to get booked. The contract does state after 1 month of booking it will only be refunded if it can be booked by someone else. This is highly unlikely to get booked on my date - they didnt miss out on business by me putting my name down for December. This could be use towards unforeseen expenses that are accruing. I was told no and then told they would send my request to the appropriate parties and would get back to me, took 2 weeks after asking for an update and Nate said I was denied. Im assuming he didnt ask and didnt have any intentions of getting back to me. They will not tell me what will be done with the money I put down if its unable to be refunded. Ive asked several times with no response. Im very disappointed in the Botanical Gardens for being so heartless. And especially Nate for being so heartless and inconsiderate of my request. Again, I know I signed the contract but for being 11 months out during the unpopular booking time there is absolutely nothing that can be done?! Very disappointing!

While this isnt the largest botanical garden, great care is taken to change one of the rooms about 4-5 times per year. The rainforest room is beautiful. The desert has some fantastic cacti and succulents. The outdoor area is well-kept and changes every year. It is quite large for a small city. So we visited this place for a cool little daytime date. The price was affordable only about five bucks to get in and the staff was friendly. They had a little market selling flower bulbs which was pretty cool. I love the honey bees display where you can watch live honey bees create honey and work. They had the cutest little gift shop and a wonderful area outside to sit and relax. The rainforest area was a bit too hot for me to stand but it was beautiful while it lasted. The desert area had a few plants that look like they were struggling a little bit. Outside of that, beautiful facility well taken care of and I would suggest it to anyone visiting the Fort Wayne area.

I am rating this from a wedding/reception point of view, not general admission. The idea of the Botanical Gardens for my wedding reception sounded like a dream, but turned into a nightmare. I will start by saying there is construction going on that we were NOT informed about when we booked. We rented a room at the conservatory for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready in during the day and during that time there was a power outage. One of the staff members barged into our room, without knocking (keep in mind we were all females getting ready...what if someone was changing), screaming at us that we tripped a breaker and caused an outage. I’m sorry but two curling irons plugged in vs. all of the construction equipment that was being used did NOT cause the outage. He continued to come in and out of the room and was extremely rude throughout the time until they restored the power. The outdoor venue is beautiful but due to a large storm that rolled in very last minute, we were forced to tear everything down and move it inside last minute (literally 1.5 hours before guests were to arrive). We managed to make that happen, but the staff at the Conservatory was the rudest I have ever experienced. There was no event coordinator present which is stated to be available and I could not handle the attitude of the guy on staff. It was crowded, the ceiling was leaking our our guests, and overall I feel like my dream wedding was sort of ruined mainly by the attitude of the staff. To make matters worse, during clean up we forgot to grab some charger plates that I purchased and they were stowed in the event coordinator’s office (Nate) and he was extremely rude when my family called while we were on our honeymoon to ask if they could pick them up. I would never recommend this venue for your dream day. Horrible experience.
