We have made Christmas Lights at the Zoo an annual event for more than 10 years. It is always so well done. A delight for all ages

So so so much to do at this park but I love to fish

Pretty lake....not much action if your looking to fish. I got a couple nibbles. The park is beautiful to take the family to for the day

Nice quiet park, pond, Zoo, and playground. Now they have the Christmas lights.

My grandkids and I went to celebrate our 3 birthdays and had a great time.

Beautiful trails. Some are really long (i got lost with my fiance and we ended up across from break & run and the subway on goshen rd)The pond is nice, Ive not personally managed to catch anything but some baby cats here though. Plenty of ducks at the pond. The sign says do not feed the water birds but plenty of people do still. The BMX track is super cool, snd they have plenty of trails to bike as well. My kids love the playground. There are plenty of areas for picnics, as well as pavilions to eat at.Only downside is there are no inside restrooms, i went a few weeks ago with my kiddos and my girls both had to poop and they took the port a potties they normally had by the playground and parking lot bmx trail away, so i had to take them in the woods and act as a toilet for them holding them up so they could go lol.Love this park though, i visited it so many times over the summer. Def one of my favorites in Fort!

This is my happy place!!! Whenever Im having one of those days where I feel like I cant take anymore, I like to go out past the bmx track and cross the log over the river to meditate. Highly reccomend this spot

All of the broken toys in the boarded-up areas that children cant play on is ridiculous this is one of our best parks I would hope that Fort Wayne parks and recreation will get this taken care of immediately Hamilton Park has a completely new playground whats wrong with Frankie Park getting some new stuff as well

Lots to do! In the area on a business trip and needed to get back to nature. Amazing this is located in the middle of Fort Wayne.

Great mountain bike trails! A true jewel.

Mtb trails are amazing! Always improving. All ages and abilities can shred the gnar!

Has a great childrens zoo geese and duck s hang around small lake. Because people feed them. Also has box track. At Christmas time they have lighted displays that can be viewed from your car

An excellent series of trails to walk or mountain bike through. Lots of hills and turns. I mostly walk, but I have ridden a few times. Would not entirely recommend using heavy Walmart bike because the hills will tier you out fast.

Great park, kids love playing here and its generally kept up pretty well. Nice that its close to the zoo too. Definitely a kid friendly place but it also has loads of trails for running and mountain biking. Theres a group that tends to keep these up as well and add new sections when needed. Nice rolling hills in parts and a bunch of switchbacks.

I really like the trails, the playground for the children . Clean, nice place for a walk in the woods.

The team that keeps the Franke Park mountain bike and hiking trails does a phenomenal job!! Keep the dirt trails!! This is one of the best things about living in Fort Wayne! Thanks!!

Beautiful! We enjoyed the pavilion by the pond! My granddaughter celebrated her first birthday party here. It was a very nice experience! Clean, enjoyable! Beautiful fall day! Perfect backdrop for the brisk autumn weather! Would definitely consider renting this space again!

Not sure why so many other reviews are for the Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo, but my review is about Franke Park (behind the Zoo)....If you plan to hike the trails, pack bug spray, wear long sleeves, and make sure you use your GPS to navigate the trails, as they are not marked well. Otherwise, the playground and lake area are excellent and trails are very secluded for being in the city. Its a great place for you and the fam to reconnect with nature!

Me and my nephew, Owen loves this becouse he gets to go hiking with his uncle Ryan, he said he loves everything about this park! It’s a great way of spending time with my little man!!

I always come here to Mountain Bike (mostly because there’s no where else to do it!) but I love it! Not complaints, the volunteers always keep the trails in pristine condition, without all the people that work on the trails I’m sure it’d end up being a disaster.

Bmx racing is the best

Always a good place to run a few miles.

Safe in the daytime. Watch your kids all the time. Secure areas they play in, make sure no needles or dangerous items around. We are in a different world today. Again watch your children closely. Park overall is nice, needs to be maintained.

There is always something new to see. From the mighty lion and wildebeast to the tiny frog and praying mantis! I LOVE this place!!

Get there early to secure tables for a picnic, the park gets busy on weekends. The playground is big, colorful and modern. Lots of walking trails through the wooded area. Pavilions need reserved months in advance.

Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo is always worthwhile, animals and knowledgable volunteers, and the flowers are beautiful this year.

The mountain bike trails are fantasticThey are maintained and challenging for all levels of riders.

Great set of tracks and courses they have out there. Went down there with my friends to ride our dirt bikes most of the courses were just right there so many courses for beginners all the way up to experts overall it was a great time down at Franks Park

I love hiking the trails at Franke park. They are maintained by the mountain bikers but they are beautiful all year round. I love the playground and how it has different areas for different ages. I also like that the playground has a sidewalk around it so you can walk laps while your kids play. It also has a great climbing tree. Some of the playground equipment is broken but its just one slide and properly blocked.

Only mountain biking in Fort Wayne city limits, or within a close distance.

Possibly went to the zoo at the wrong time of year because of it being below 60 degrees a lot of the animals were not out. But my son and I spent 3 hours here and still had fun.

This place is an awesome place to get together and go biking. It has trails of all difficulties that are marked on maps. It is really fun and extremely thrilling.

Attended Christmas in the Park today. What wonderful living nativity. Many great booths for children. Great job Fort Wayne church groups and local donors.

Incredible mountain bike trails!

We went to Franke park for the festival of lights. The lights were beautiful. Unfortunately the people behind us kept their lights on the whole time sho or view was dimmed.

Good playground, GREAT trails. Keep in mind you are sharing with mountain bikers so hike or jog without earphones.

Saw Christopher Cross live there. Havent been there since I was a kid. Super cool venue, tons of seating, great acoustics, beer, wine, food. I wish theyd have bands that might entice a younger crowd - dont get me wrong I love the oldies but the crowd (mostly geriatrics) makes it maybe a little less thrilling for 20 somethings. Great times though, if theres a show you like playing there then definitely go!

Very magical around Christmas time they do a light array of lights from business that donate to good causes.

A good place to relax, watch the geese, and take time out for a picnic.

Lovely hiking trails!

Making progress slowly on the upgrades here. its better than it used to be 35 years ago so its got that going for it. Maybe when all the new remodels are done it will be epic who knows anything is better than what it was.

Not only is the zoo really neat, but so is the actual park itself with all the bicycle and hiking trails and the feeling of being out in nature etc...

It was an amazing experience!!! I have brought my children from the very first AWS FANTASY OF LIGHTS, now I have the pleasure of bringing my grandbabies. There is nothing more magical than living Christmas again through the eyes of a child!!I am beyond blessed!!

BMX track in great shape, lots of racers

Its a nice park- really, really, big (like... you dont realize just how big it is at first because it is fairly spread out) but there is a really nice sized pond, partially surrounded by a wooded area, right up next to the zoo, and a massive playground further out, lots of walking trails and a nature center, multiple parking areas, and even some areas that we have not actually explored yet. It seems like they have literally always been building, upgrading, or adding onto something every time we have gone there over the years.

I love this zoo! Check out the aquarium, the log ride and the sky lift. (Unsure of what its called, ski lift?) And around Christmas time, the Festival of Lights is our family tradition.

My kids loved it. It was clean and the equipment is in great shape. The covered picnic tables were awesome so that I could stay out of the sun while the kids played. Definitely one of the better parks.

Franke Park offers multipurpose trails for hiking, running, or mountain biking as well as a well maintained BMX track.

Was so beautiful out there, definitely a nice hiking place for a date.

Franke is my favorite park to sneak away to for lunch during my work week. Having a place to escape the four walls of work and be in nature is a blessing to my mental and emotional health. Definitely an awesome place to enjoy a picnic or a short walk in the middle of the day.

Good place to pull over for a rest

Trails are always well groomed ( as in not tons of piles of dead trees everywhere like other places) could use more blazing to stay on a trail though.

We rented a pavilion by the pond/lake for a family reunion. Very unhappy about the fact so many strangers still had access to the area we were in. A couple came up to one of my grand daughters and wanted to give them a gift. The gift was not in their hands. This couple stuck around the entire time we were all there. We warned the others about this couple. The kids could not play outside as much as they had wanted. With an adult being with them we were all afraid to let them be outside very much.

We went to the jdrf walk here. It was very nice

Use the bike trails to train for a hike in Georgia. Trails were well groomed cant wait to come back with a mountain bike.

A whole lot of fun on sunny days are spent here by lots of people. I truly love this place. You get a map, make your plans, then go for it. Its a Great place for kids.

Franke park has amazing little nature trains that you can take for a stroll and really tune everything else out and just be with nature.

I love Franke Parks Fantasy of Lights, this year, they have a Santa Shack with cocoa and popcorn, and of course, Santa!!, but, it seems they have shortened the route thru the park abit...and added a few in Folleinger Theaters parking lot...but it still seems alot shorter. Hopefully, whatever upgrades the park is doing will be done for next year!

I love Franke Park. I love feeding the ducks. The geese eat out of my hands. I cant wait til it gets warmer. The park is beautiful all thru the year but especially when there are flowers and leaves on the trees.

This is a nice usually clean park to go to. They have some nicely kept trails to take beautiful calming and quite walks through. Very peaceful. Also a good place to go jogging as you are pretty safe from traffic. Good place to walk your dog, and a great place to have a picnik or just lunch in your car.

Loved it at one point. Last time we went there were left over needles and other drug stuff. I have refused to take my 7 yr old back

Great for family outings! The zoo is one of the best in the country, fishing in the pond, hiking, playing fields, and the theater for special events.

This is a lovely park where you can go do a picnic with family exercise go fishing, biking or the playground for the kids or the trails for mountain biking, running or just to get in the zoo for the whole family

Great Park Great Size & Best Of All You Can Fish.

Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo is excellent. Their animals enjoy clean, spacious habitats; they look well cared for and healthy. The zoo provides lots of shaded walking paths and covered viewing platforms. The giraffe exhibition is gorgeous!

Great place to hang out or hit the trails
