Said it was a Casino on Google maps when I got there was an old OTB still active . No signs to know that they had 5 tables upstairs so took forever to find the so called casino . Got upstairs was under construction with plastic hanging to separate where they were doing work, place looked like total sham w no blackjack.
I do not like to leave negative reviews, most times when a place is bad enough to leave a negative review I simply do not review it.This place leaves me no choice.Let me START by saying that the dealers were all very cool and nice, and that I tripled my money so OBJECTIVE COMPLETE.Other than that this place was the most unkempt and dirtiest place I have EVER BEEN. I have been playing poker for 12 years all over the country and NEVER EVER have I EVER seen a dirty poker table. This table was foul and disgusting and that is not even an apt description. It was worn out and the felt was black, brown and shiny from being rubbed by clear over use. Seriously I cannot even begin to truly describe the condition of the table (#9). The second table I moved to was marginally better but still dirty.Again in all of the casinos i I have ever been to - I have never seen one dirty table let alone the condition this one was in.There were a decent amount of tvs on the wall but more than a few were either OFF or on a dead channel so it was just a provider message.A vast majority of the chips were clearly worn down and filthy. The bathroom was the worst part of it all. IT WAS FOUL. It looked like the last 3 Superbowls had been through there and hadn’t been cleaned in decades. The floor was covered in urine by the stalls, water was all over the counter and floor and it looked like there was a used paper towel fight with 40 participants.Look at my other reviews. I am NOT a troll, I am not a liar and I am telling the truth. The poker was good, the other players were funny and I enjoyed myself here but it had nothing to do with what the casino offered. If I ran this place I would be embarrassed.I wish I had a better picture of the table.
Here’s the review. DONT GO ! Disgusting, Dirty, Smells, You’ll know the minute you open the front door. RUN FAST and keep Going !!!!
Great staff. Great action on the weekends. Lots of dollars flying around in the form of tiny victory discs. If not for covid19 m, Id be heading there shortly per my usual Friday routine.
Pretty cool place to play poker, just moved out here from Philadelphia and went 1 day. Great players and floor guy was very nice
Worst place ever!!! I was trying to put my opponent on a hand and the dealer looked at me and said You check and before I could even react, he dealt the river card. There is no structure at all. It was like being in a 3rd world country. What a dump!! Ill never go back
Will be nice when it opens back up in Sept.
Ok, the reviews for this establishment are all over the place so let me give you the straight skinny from an experienced sort: This place is located in a place that is going to make certain folks uncomfortable. That might be precisely why the reviews have been all over the place. It depends on ones tolerance to that which isnt poker as seen on TV.Its not particularly dangerous. At least not more so than many gambling locations that arent fancy, high priced, casinos. This place isnt one of those and isnt trying to pretend it is. It is basically an off track betting site that has a poker room on its second floor. However, to get to it one has to drive through minority neighborhoods of a city that has seen better days to get to an isolated bit of what use to be a jai alai stadium [they still have about two weeks of jai akai a year here as it is a legal get around required to keep the off track betting and poker room open, otherwise it would drop the pretense altogether]. That is going to put certain folks off, but... thats poker folks. If you only know true mid-to high stakes gaming poker as a television show or in higher end casinos this place isnt going to be to your liking. Its a little bit sad because there are people playing with the rent money [same is true for those high class casinos but its not as obvious], there arent going to be attractive people in theme uniforms prancing about looking to cater to your appetites [massage, food, drink, etc]. Thats not the origins of poker though. Those are hard tack saloons and small clubs, frequently with seedy origins, back rooms of pool halls stuff. As such this is in keeping with poker, old school. If you want something bring it with you, or pick your butt up and go to the bar or vending machine to get it [and pay for it].Youll park in a big enough lot. There will be a Saint Lucie County Sheriffs car parked in in, perhaps. Maybe not. They provide onsite security for the place. At least they did the night I was there. This was a Saturday night at around 730pm during March, the height of the busy season in this neck of the woods. Couldnt have been more than a dozen would be handicappers working the automated OTB machines, looking for a pre-Easter miracle trifecta The place is truly on life support. The mens rooms are badly beaten and smell of urine. Not as bad as the Port Authority in mid-July, but noticeable. You climb the stairs to a second floor poker room that is half empty. The tables are workable but old, worn, dont have shuffle tech machines [or their equivalent]. The dealers shuffle. There is almost always one person working the cash-to-chips, chips-to-cash window. Dealers and other staff are friendly. The place is mostly locals and they all some to know each other by name as well as face. The hand shuffling gives the play a slower pace and add that to people who see a lot of each other makes this a bit warmer than many other cards for money places. Though most of the talk is about poker and who won/lost what where. If you are either a poker purist, familiar with Russian card rooms in Brooklyn for instance [or any of their equivalents many other places], or the player who looks for scared money, this isnt going to feel strange to you at all. The loose, casual, affiliation and the slight smell of desperation in the air of people playing cards for money when they cant afford to lose, in places that are in the more run down areas of town, this is going to feel well known and familiar to you.If your looking for poker the way it was played yesteryear, before Poker After Dark and WSoP coverage on ESPN... Like i said: Thats poker folks. Not flashy casinos.
Only 1 star for the great staff upstairs and one great mutual downstairs. The place doesnt look like it put money into itself for years and I hear management doesnt listen to its workers
Lets clarify something. Downstairs when you enter is completely different than upstairs. Downstairs is a complete dive. I wouldnt eat down there, I wouldnt drink down there, its not nice as the reviews indicate. However, upstairs is fine. Its not spectacular, but its not bad. Its worth checking out
Went to play poker. One running table. Staff nice enough. Need to create promotions to attract players.
Whoah. Horrible. Not even worth getting out of the car for. Surprised this is even a business. Ive never been in a dirtier, nastier place. Yall need to clean up a lot if you want to attract any business at all!
This place is in a time warp.
Worst managed poker room I have ever played in. Dealers didnt control the players, some consistently played out of turn. Others cursed and use racial slurs toward each other. Some would slow the game down by arguing with each other when the action was on them. I wont go back, EVER.
Unfortunately this place has very nice dealers. Not the best but very nice. The place itself is gross. Dirty downstairs and dingy feeling. It feels like someone threw a bunch of TVS in an abandon place. Very nasty. The rake and jackpot procedure there are terrible. You can have $10 in the pot and its down to $6 immediately. Very very bad rake and jackpot procedures. It doesnt matter though as it is the only thing in the area if you want to play cards so when no one has an option they will go.
This place is possibly the shabbiest casino i have ever seen. It ha been years since it was a Jai Alai arena and it is clear that it hasnt been renovated into an eye catcher. Its too hot inside and theres a lingering odor of water damage. The tables were covered in sand or dirt, and just generally unkept. There is no appeal to this facility whatsoever.
Im not sure if hes Under New Management this is like the third time I have gone. But tonight was great. They upgraded second floor awesome TVs it was great
If you want to bet the horses or the dogs, they have most every race on the TVs. Wiith the big races there is no sound, thats a dragIts also not in the best or areas so on an every day basis you will see the element rolls in. Its shady and dirty, needs to be cleaned up, renovated, but I prefer Fort Pierce over Melbourne. Melbourne is a bunch of stuffy snobs
Not really a casino
Place is a dump...no food... dont ask for a drink that requires anything other than a piece of lime.
Ok action on weekends... No food no massage. Im generous with 3 stars
Dead, horrible odds, dirty and you have to pay for drinks from someone who has no knowledge whatsoever on how to make a drink. Should NOT be considered a casino!
Not only does the house have the advantage they cheat! They change the rules of the games on a whim when it suits them. So not only do you risk your life coming and going from this place you are definitely being robbed.
Wack only has poker, and always dead!!
We had an amazing dealer named Richard - a great time, our drinks were strong, and there was a good atmosphere :)
I like limit games and they dont play limit games during the week.
It is big
Dirty. Little or no AC. Toilets broken. Seating and tables uncomfortable in OTB areas. Only plus is Kenneth the OTB clerk. He is always polite and patient.
Inadequate facilities, needs user friendly sanitation. Poker workers are trained.
Thank goodness...a CASINO nearer central & east coast florida for jobs and fun!! FL is the land of Seniors and we love Casino fun. I hope everything go well for them. Thank You, whoever implemented it!!I hear they are making IMPROVEMENTS to the building...look forward to it.
Grimey, dingy, dirty disgusting! It’s not even a casino.. poker and horse racing.. that’s it. The food is horrible.. except for the fries.. the are usually hot and crispy.. otherwise eat elsewhere!
Trying to go out of business! Poker room doesnt allow cell phones! No food! No service!!!!! Only good thing about room is the floor guy. Think he is Cuban? Lester? Great guy fair and very knowledgeable. Knows what he is doing should be running the whole place.....
The place is dirty. None of the toilets in the ladies room would flush. It smells in the place. Some dealers were excellent and others had no clue what they were doing. I would rather take the drive to The kennel club or Melbourne.
Crystal Card Room is a great place to play poker. Being in Port Saint Lucie I find it awesome to have this so close to home
Being renovated. Im sure its nice if youre into card playing.
No SlotsNo Restrooms that smelled goodProperty overgrownMost importantlyDidn’t feel very welcomed.Guests were greeting instead of employees.Keep your money and go to dinner instead
Always out of food . Bread, cheese etc just terrible management . New bar but they never hired a bartender it’s only been 6 months lol ... all the good dealers have left so you are left with slow dealers with no experience . 99% don’t know the rules. It’s painfull to watch the new owners run this place into the ground .. if your playing u could end up with the same dealer for hours and the owners can’t figure out why players get mad !!!! PLease Sell this place u have no idea how to run a business !!!!!!!
Place is trash. Owners want it that way, its a write off. We all get it. But this goes a step beyond...Beware: Upstairs poker room is a snake pit. Do not go during week. Definite collusion and management looking out for certain players also have seen certain management and players collude for 2-card high hand when in fact player was only holding 1 card. Friday and Saturday nights are good sometimes.Drive the extra 30 minutes and hit the west palm kennel club poker room or extra hour and hit the hard rock in Hollywood. Hard Rock in Tampa is also extremely nice and great poker promotions for regulars and grinders.
The new dealers are atrocious. Sorry but its just sad when you cant count a side pot correctly, realize what players need change... or.. even worse...try to award a pot to the losing player (happened twice tonight) Poker room remains in shambles with no carpet and the bar still under renovation even though it appears no one has worked on it for a month+
I would not call this a casino its more like a dump .. dirty smelly dont waste your time
Very dispressing, and dirty. The bathrooms has no toilet paper and were very dirty.
When you drive up, the place looks like it needed painting forty years ago and it never happened. Frankly it looks like a dump. They dont have all the games they advertise everyday. If you are looking for limit holdem, they only have it three days a week. When I walked in the poker room only two tables were occupied on a Sunday afternoon. I walked out. If I could give less than one star I would.
Small but friendly. Worthwhile on saturdays, otherwise very quiet.
But, in the middle of reconstruction..card room is ok, but 1st floor is in terrible conditions..from the ticket machines to the service..
Walked in and the dealer passed out on the floor. New look is good but dealers dont follow rules as well
No staff running bar, one teller helping with bets. Sad
Just a nasty place with a nasty owner, Very rude and unprofessional. Filthy hole to gamble... rather head south
Very nice and love the casino updates
The past two times I busted out there, the manager, Jimmy, looks at me and says “You leaving?” As I’m walking out. Clearly he is intentionally trying to get under my skin. Every time he’s working, I call to check if there are any seats open (since they tend not to update the board when people sit down). He never answers the phone. Aside from that, all newer dealers so the games can be slow. You really need to pay attention to make sure the pots move in the right direction. Just a poorly managed poker room and you can see that from the outside, looking in. I’ll take my business to the other poker rooms down south.
We love watching Jai-alai but got kicked out because we had our kids with us. Its a shame because 20 people at the most are there to watch the matches. We were embarrassed because we had friends with us and have attended with our family previous years nearly every day. Did some research and per the license kids are allowed with guardian to watch the sport. Received an invitation to return only on Saturdays when they are better staffed to keep minors away from gaming area. (casino is on a different floor). Perhaps we will try again next season.
We stopped by early just to look around... its like a little piece of history inside there... the huge building housing the Jai-alai court is getting old and sad but very interesting to walk around and see what must have been an awesome venue in its heyday... would like to go back and see when an event is going on.
It was like walking into a post-apocalyptic grain silo converted into a place to gamble on pre-recorded 1980s dog races. I havent seen that many CRT TVs since Circuit City went under. I was fully expecting to round a corner and see the cast of House of 1000 Corpses to be filming a sequel here. Very bizzare place.
Needs some updates and better publicity.
Decent casino, had a good win on my first two hands. Good late night spot open til 5 or so. Bar closes at 2.
Not really much of a Casino but definitely have hopes that theyll add a few games
Good room not a lot of players though. Some dealers try to rush the action which gets annoying cause its are money not theres. Dealers are professional and staff is great including cocktail girls. No longer have tournaments. If u want a day of fun to play cards and horses u wont be dissapointed.
Tired... Seemed like it is in a state of renovation. Could hardly call it a casino. On the flip side it does have a decent JaiLai arena.
Filthy place. Card machines are rigged by far. When i ask about the machine im not even looked at and ignored. Ive had instances where they changed the rules of a game and couldnt provide me with the rules of there own game. 90 percent of the dealers are untrained and had my dealer throwing away my hand thinking we were playing a whole different game.... Just to add to that if you get a straight flush how does a normal flush beat you and you push on your bonus?? Scammers. Bonuses dont pay. Take your money to kennel or hard rock there are no odds here of winning
Place is an absolute dump!! People are shady, the facility should be condemned!! HORRID!! I won $40 too......It was still horrible experience.....had to leave after an hour.....way too sketch!!
Run down. But nice staff. The are under new management I believe and are working on improvement. Thats the best you can ask for
Much improved, and its the only game in town, LOL
Under construction, dusty, dirty... Hopefully I will change my mind after the renovations. I did want to play poker on my birthday and I didnt want to stay more than few minutes.
Ufc mcgregor vs khabib at Casino Fort Pierce on 10/6/18Went to the Casino Fort Pierce to watch the UFC matches and the main event of Mcgregor vs Khabib. No cover to get in and no minimum spend which was a first for me in this area. Drinks were moderately priced when factoring in no cover and no min spend. The poker room itself is newly redone and it looks really nice. The bar was stocked and is newly done. I had a great time and afterwards played 3 card poker and made a little money. Would definitely recommend and will go again.
Love going here to play poker. The dealers are great and if you dont know how to play they will teach you.
I went to Fort Pierce Casino to play the highlight but it was only about 5 people in there so theres no money being bet until they go simulcast theyre never going to be any great games there far as the casino goes they must be hiding it could not find one they only have cards no slot machines they have off track betting
Its dirty smelly and just nasty. Will never go back
Wifi sucksIt smells badNeeds improvements
There is literally nothing in there to play. I dont even understand why its two floors.
Look like #@$& on outside and in
This place is run down. They run out of popular beer frequently and it looks like theyve been working on building a bar for a few years but always under construction.
No waiters/waitresses for real, drinks from vending machine.
Friendly staff. Always enjoy visiting and playing a few hands at thier tables.
Place is filthy!! Garbage all over the parking lot. Elevator is disgusting, as well as bathrooms, kitchen etc. A handful of the dealers know what they are doing.
What a dump. Roaches all over. Filthy restrooms. Totally depressing.
Not a average casino. No slots and very few card games. Its dirty and run down. Needs a remodel.
This place is very run down, but I hear that the new owners have great plans for the future!
Awful place. We entered, looked around and got out right away
Know the rules before you play. If your chips cross the line they stay, js... Otherwise its a pretty good game.
Still very dirty and grimey nasty
Run the other way - terrible lighting... 10 pounds of $#!% in a 5 pound bag
I thought this was the worst display of jai-alai I have ever seen. I am pretty sure I could probably beat those guys out there. There was maybe 10 people in attendance. This place is a dump
I thought it had table games. Its just a horse betting joint. The other thing they have I guess its at night only..
Not really a casino, dont know why its called a casino
The place itself is well located but the people running it could not care less about the clients comfort or entertainment. I USED to go to bet on the horses but now that they have moved away from the big TV screens to TINY ones they lost my patronage. Bad enough they did not have the race descriptions, now you can barely see the races on those small screens. it would be such an easy fix to have just Gulfstream on the big TVs, with race description, in the bottom back room and just have the rest of the races from other tracks where they are now. Problem is they do NOT care. The place is simply used as a tax write off.
So this was a waste.... Dirty place, bathroom smelled like a piss stained truck stop parking lot. Lazy poker dealers... Wow, wont be back... Bulldozer should be used on this place...
Worst experience tonight playing poker Ft Pierce. Usually I dont like playing there but I did tonight and wont be back. Last hand of the night I was last to act bet bet bet guy to my right folded so I pushed all in the guy to his left still didnt act so I pushed back my chips after that the dealer took my cards and put them in the muck. She said I acted out of turn, Floor supported her, Never had that happen its like playing in the ghetto!
It should have 2 stars because it look like the dump when I went in and then walked out but now their upgradingFingers Crossed and 5stars because We always had a GREAT time!
I wouldnt Go There
There is never a ticket teller at there station at 11.30am when there suppose to be ready to pouch or cash tickets and the mangement never says a word to any of them.. so for all those reading this dont get there till close to noon..!
Fort Pierce Jaialai is a great local poker room. The staff is the best from management down to maintenance. I have been playing poker there since the day they opened It have nothing but great things to say about this poker room. If you are looking for Trump Plaza keep going, if you are looking for a friendly, well run, place to play Texas Holdem where they know you by name and you know the staff, it is the place to go, if you want to meet people and make friends, while playing poker, this is your place, if you want a place to hone your skills and play tournaments that dont take 12 hours to finish this is your poker room. There are very few people I have met there that I do not like. If you are a loudmouth jerk who likes to insult other players, or act like a fool keep driving. Of all the local card rooms from Orlando to Miami this is my favorite. Yes I am a real customer, not a shill, but I do expect Dave to buy me a bottle of water lol.
Its has horrible service and other than the poker room its run down but if your a degenerative gambler only game in town
Huge place, but right now looks like only poker tables and otb. Did not see blackjack, roulette or slots. I certainly hope there is more in the works!
Lights went out, all betting devices went out, electric failure. No elevator working, had stairs only. out
, too bad its the only place in town what a dump
I played in the no-limit Holdem poker tournament it was very exciting
No upstairs teller. One bartender who was servicing poker tables most of the time. This place could care less about the horse player
Friendly staff and a great place to play
Felt like the zombie apocalypse was coming. Parking lot full at 10 PM with no one but 4 people in side
Cool place
