Today was the third time Ive been to Harns Marsh. Its a beautiful marshy area with lots of wildlife to see--mostly birds and insects--while youre walking the 4 mile loop (I couldnt do the full loop). I do recommend going in the cooler hours or months. There isnt much shade and I swear I thought I was starting to get heat exhaustion. Bring lots of water and sunscreen!

Nice area to observe birds & wildlife. We wanted to walk all the way around the park, but 3/4 way around we werent sure which way to go. Google maps was not helpful and there were no signs. It looked like the trail ended, but we continued to follow what seemed like truck tracks through an open field. We eventually came to a green fence with no signs, we let ourselves through to the other side which crossed some water. It led us back to the parking lot. At one point we thought we might have to turn around and go back the way we came. Please place some signs on the trail to assist first time visitors! It took us 2 hours to walk all the way around.

Always nice. Peaceful. Its not so much Lehighs little hidden secret anymore. This is due to more people moving to the area and word of mouth. This is a beautiful gem.

One of our favorite places to walk and see wildlife in the winter. Most days you will see more than a dozen species of birds, ducks, egrets, herons, ibis, sandhill cranes, limppkins, snail kites, etc. We have also seen interesting snakes and raccoons, including raccoons swimming. The loop is about 4 miles and there are no restrooms. The best viewing is closer to the south end, so if you do not have time, go counter clockwise. We only saw Snail Kites twice, both flying, but others had better luck. By March the number of sightings of all birds was down, but was great in December, January and much of February.

I would be even nicer if people would pick up their trash. But it is a great place to ride your bike and walk your dogs. Must be aware there are alligators out there. So a leash would be best.

Great place to walk and talk with your friends, loved ones, or puppies. I would caution that there are some people who are littering there. I hope that this review will encourage people to be neat and clean at the park. There are plenty of trash cans for you to use. Use them!!!

Such a beautiful place on such a beautiful day. Spent Earth Day with my mom hiking and bird watching. Saw Sandhill Cranes, Egrets, herons, ducks, a Swallow Tailed Kite flew over and around us for a few minutes. Nice 4 mile hike around the marsh. Saw some beautiful colors in foliage. Great local place to hike and see some birds. Great day to spend with mom out in nature. If not familiar with area can get a little confusing finding it, but Waze gets you there just fine.

Living not to far from here I visit it quite often. Walking around the marsh youre sure to see lots of birds. Weve seen alligators as well. Its about a 5 mile walk all the way around. It is direct sunlight the whole time, but it is well worth it. There are no restrooms.

We moved out here after 22 years of all the hustle of the Naples/Bonita Springs area...we feel so blessed! Gorgeous wildlife and so peaceful as God made it! We experienced the mating season of the cranes this year from our very own back yard (running parallel to this marsh) and the sounds of their calls are something to experience! A rather large Blue Heron graced us with his beautiful presence in the front yard early one morning! Florida has so many treasured places such as this, we must do everything we can to respectfully preserve this gorgeous land and its beautiful wild life!

Lots of different types of birds, good photo opportunity for bird lovers, took a tram ride through the preserve, during the event they have yearly. Several venders, and learning opportunities, purchased some raw free range honey from a vendor, attended a presentation on snakes, missed the fossil presentation, Audubon society, Lehigh acres fire Dept were there, plus others with good presentations, had a good time.

Review №50

It was here four week ago, upon our first visit to the preserve, that we were pleasantly surprised by what we observed. The water level from what has appeared an average summer rainy season was appealing. This may be perceived a classic case where water is an essential ingredient to viewing of relative wildlife rarities. Drought conditions would certainly negatively impact the presence of wildlife species here. Also we observed species of bird here that I have not seen anywhere else in my two years of diligent birding throughout southwest Florida which included the Limpkin. I found this species to be extraordinary in how its voice gave the venue the appeal of a jungle environment.*****
