Its a very cute little spot. The waterfall behind the nature center is nice.. but you only have access to the top.. and the main trail is paved most of the way throughout.. nice if you have a bike or a wheelchair, but not really a hiker spot if you like the full on nature.. gonna keep searching..
Not maintained at all. The paths behind the nature center were not cleared. The lookout to the falls could also be cleared and tress trimmed for a better view. It was busy and seems to be a popular place. Part of the playscape was blocked off for whatever reason. My son was disappointed he couldnt play on that section. Probably wont be going back.
Was there today at 3:00 pm with Pastor Santiago. Holding services of praises and worship. Nice park, had a great day
One of my favorite walking places in Fayetteville. Paved walking path going either towards the river (about 1.5 mi) or along the River, ending at the Jordan Soccer Complex (4 mi). The path is open during covid, no water stations. A few portapotties provided on the 4 mi stretch. Playground is closed for COVID but people were still using it. Plenty of parking. Mixed shade and sun on the path. If you go towards the soccer complex, there are lots of pretty bridges and a waterfall but you have to go about a mile through a kinda uglier patch through a neighborhood and construction site. I prefer to start at the other end, at the soccer complex, and go towards Clark park since I don’t usually go the full 4 miles (8miles round trip). There’s a nature center, but it’s been closed for COVID every time I’ve been there so I can’t comment on it.There are also mountain biking trails that go off the four mile stretch, but I haven’t used them myself.
Great place for family get togethers bike trails dog walk trails playgrounds picnic tables
This is a fantastic park with great trails. The trails are easy to walk, and they are clearly marked. The waterfall is a quick and easy walk from the main parking lot. There is a primary trail that is paved, which has a very nice playground. The mosquitoes can be bad at times, because of the dense growth and nearby creeks and river.
Clark park closed the park area, not much to do for the kids. The trail to the east was closed to pedestrians 3/4 of a mile in. If you run/walk/hike to the west. I consider that more scenic and enjoyable. Its a longer trail because you are headed towards Jordan Soccer Complex. The distance allows people to spread out and not run into each other while on the trail. The trail is about 4 and some change one way, this includes the distance next to the train track and the street intersecting the trail. There are a few bridges you can stop and enjoy the scenery. It is one of my go to places to experience the outdoors.
So beautiful, lots of shade from their wonderous trees. Trails and a playground for the kiddos. Very relaxing!
Great for walking(couple paved trails and off road trails). Great for kids to play, it also has a playground. Has a few picnic tables. The only downside for is that the restrooms are not always open, but they do have a porta-potty by the parking lot(if you have no choice ).
Its nice, had some pretty vegetation. Great bird song, and a nice park for kids. I was sad to see as much litter as I did, and the giant plastic pipeline running through the wetland trail was an eye sore. Once in awhile you get hit with the sewer smell from the many sewer holes dotting the property. Overall a nice place to take a walk, just wish it was more natural and cleaner.
The park ranger was awesome very fun place great for the nerves
Love the nature trails. Wish I could see the river and waterfall a little better. My family and I really enjoyed it. Great scenery too!
Just in from Texas to help our daughter get moved up here and my wife and went with her and the grandson. Its amazing. Cant wait to come back after covid is gone and get to see all we missed. That was only drawback.
The weather was great and there were a lot of people and families walking, running and biking! One of my favorite places to walk!
I have to say that I love Clark Park Nature Center. Very informational, and I love the live animals, as well as they exhibits displaying habitats. The nature center is a lot of fun, family and kid friendly, and very interactive for both children and adults. Edit: March 1, 2020Walked on Laurel Trail, and they had yellow caution tape up, so I turned around and walked back. Walked trail from other way to see a tree had fallen down; definitely need to tape other side and put disclaimer out so others dont access it.
Awesome, quiet, dont forget to see the waterfall
Such a great day. Kids loved the playground and dinosaurs. The nature center was great. Lots of things for kids to touch and explore. Live animals and various exhibits. Clean restrooms inside the center perfect to wash dirty hands after exploring along the walk paths. Be sure to check out the mini waterfall behind the center next to the patio. Walk paths are easy even for little kids. The paved path offers perfect bike path adventure. Flat most of the way. Great outing for families.
Pretty much everything is shut down right now with covid. But main complaint is the condition of the picnic tables and the prevalence of fire ants in the picnic table area. Of course there are going to be ants, but fire ants make sitting down to have lunch with small children an impossibility.
A couple miles of warmup, followed by some nasty hill sprints. Perfect place for any type of run, thank you for whoever made Clark Park Nature Center. You make me feel so alive.
Nice walking trail. Fun for kids bring big spray
Ranger Mike was very helpful and informative!!! Thanks
Clarks Park is a place that I can go and enjoy nature I can walk I can jog its just so peaceful. I can think things through.
Great walking trails.
Clean and well kept trails with a nice family park.
We had a great time at the park. The area with the animals was small, but my daughter had a great time looking at the animals and playing the games inside of the nature center. They also have nice walking trails, a play ground and a waterfall.
Very nicely kept and clean, there is a good selection of playground stuff for kids and to be honest Im 20 and still love the swings and that one spinning thing. The Ampitheatre is well made and makes me want to put on a play or something. The Nature Center nearby is fun and has a great variety of animals and information and recently they added more stuff for kids to do if you have them. The plaque with the story of the bikes is really sweet and it makes me happy to see the yellow bicycle statues around the park to honor it.Overall I love it and would definitely recommend the park to everyone.
This is a wonderful place for a picnic or casual walk. The nature center has some animals and exhibits to keep children occupied and interested. The playground is well maintained and clean. I enjoy taking my family here often.
It has a beautiful waterfall at the end of one of the trails. Its a very peaceful place and you feel all that nature has to offer.
We love this park. Kids have a blast!
Great place to take the dogs walking
Wonderful place to exercise, take photos, spend time with family and enjoy nature in general. Multiple paved and unpaved trail options for hikers and bike riders alike. The Nature Center looks small but is museum quality inside. Animal feedings and other nature classes are available and offer great opportunities for educating children. The displays are constantly being updated with a variety of fun learning tools. We took our five year old daughter here for her first time camping overnight as well and had an amazing time. The camp site is well maintained with optional fire pit and functional outdoor bathroom (solid building, not port-a-jon). Mostly, we go here to walk our dogs and enjoy play dates with other families at the childrens playground. We really appreciate all the facilities offer and the quality of service. Highly recommend taking your family here to explore!
Took very pleasant walk there with my children. Beautiful scenery, lovely day.
A literal hidden gem. It is to the left of the playground back in the trees. They have a great exploration center inside the building. Many things for kids to touch and see. They have living and taxidermy animals and critters. There is a play place right outside the building where you can dig in the dirt. A really interesting place.
Cape fear river trail ! Fayettevilles hidden waterfall is here Carvers fall. This is a fantastic greenway for walking and hiking .
Great trail!
Provided info on a nice drive down in the canyon.
Great place for kids! A lot of thought and time has been put into making this kid-friendly!
Great park to spend an afternoon in. There are many walking paths and a playground. The Nature Center is a must. They have lots of informational displays and several living exhibits. Staff was friendly and helpful. Right behind the Nature center is a small Waterfall and a covered bridge just beyond that.
Always a nice place to take a walk. My son loves the nature center.
My kids LOVE it here. We havent had a chance to do all of the trails but the ones we have walked are well taken care of and are comfortably wide. surrounded by gorgeous trees and scenery. The Nature Center is always clean and run by some of the nicest park rangers. Plenty of opportunities for education and creative play.
A hole in the wall adventure. Honestly the more guardedly kept secret parks the better. It’s clean when people aren’t displacing their used needles, or trashing their used condoms, but Fayetteville citizens make do. Please don’t bring your children here for I do not wish to see them. Thanks.
Fresh air and clean place and playground
This is a great space in downtown Greensboro with a very nice, fenced, safe play space for littles, a large open space with an amphitheatre, dog park, clean restrooms, on-site walk-up windows for food and more. The city of Greensboro and other organizations hold many free public events at LeBauer Park.
Love this parks.
This park is a hidden gym and secret of Fayetteville. Great trails and amazing ambiance. Remember to bring bug spray though cause the mosquitoes dont play.
Great place to take the kids. Educational Nature Center that is interactive and air conditioned. Picnic tables and playground were clean.
This place is awesome! I didnt even know this trail existed! Whether you are looking for a long run, bike ride, or just strolling on a nature walk with the family, this place fits the bill. Also, if you have an electric car, you are in luck! There are electric chargers located in the parking area! This is my new exercise location!
Good place to explore & enjoy by yourself, or with children, a couples outing, family, catching up with a friend. Just good place to spend some time outdoors with just about anyone, or just yourself :)
Family friendly. Dog friendly. Well kept trails. No costs. My grandchildren enjoyed 2 hours there; could have stayed longer.
Great walking, running and bike route
Great for the entire family of all ages. Nice trails for walking, biking, jogging and exploring.
This is a great park for walking and biking. It connects to the Cape Fear River trail (which sorely needs to be extended a la the Raleigh Greenway) There is a nice little nature center for a lot to look at young kids.
Perfect for a family outing. The ranger inside the nature center was very friendly and inviting.
It is a very nice area. The scenery and are trails are amazing.
Awesome scenery walking trails park and picnic area.
Love walking the trails, also great place for photos
Its a nice place to visit with the family. Great for bike riding, walking, jogging and even riding a skateboard. The only downside was that some people let their dogs use the bathroom right on the trail without picking up after them. So you have to watch your step.
This park is an absolute gem this time of the year. The nature trails are well marked with great natural features and terrain. The playground is great for children. And the nature center has several great exhibits and live animals.
Very clean park fresh paved parking lot on duty police officer for security. Very Family Friendly. Dog Friendly too
Great local place to enjoy nature. There is a long paved trail, modern and with emergency call stations, as well as trails through the woods, a large playground, and a nature center with lots of animals for viewing. The nature center is only open seasonally, so check before going. This is a regular place for us!
So many kinds of activities for kids and adults to take interest in, and learn.
This place is just awesome. Love that you feel youre not even in Fayetteville any more. Great trails and lots of nature to walk through. Its clean and beautiful.
So peaceful right in town. Some lovely walks and exercise tracks.
Great public trail
Nice park with lots of interesting things to do. Decent playground and walking trails, the park also contains a nature center with live animals. Friendly staff.
This was the best park I have visited in a while. The playground is so nice and kept up. It has a dinosaur that my kids absolutely live. The picnic tables were very clean. They had a little stage for the kids. But what really blew my mind was the nature center! It was wonderful. The staff and rangers were so nice an very informative. The displays were really nice too. I wish it didnt rain when I went because the trails looked so much fun. But I will be going back again and again.
Well maintained trails and park! Great for family adventures
Great park! Nice, clean and safe. They usually have a police officer in the parking lot which makes you feel extra safe.
This is the best place in Fayetteville to go for a solo hike. Lots of little trails that you can connect to make a longer loop. You can view the Cape Fear river and there’s even a waterfall. For kids the nature center has animals and there’s a play park. Place was quiet when we visited but it was nice. On the cape fear river trail also.
Edible and medicinal plant walk was really cool. Ranger Mike Morales is a rich fountain of knowledge
Clark Park is a great little nature park in Fayetteville. There is a nature center and several short unpaved trails as well as parking for the Cape Fear River Trail, a 5-mile greenway trail. The center itself was closed when we went by, though it looked good peeking through the windows.
Love it never knew about the animals. I though it were an office. Very nice!!!Thanks
Beautiful place for a run or walk!
Beautiful park! Absolutely wonderful trails and the nature center was a neat little addition to the overall feel of the park
Awesome mountain bike trails off this path. Always clean and well maintained!
Great playground for kids. Kept clean. Love that the river trail goes behind it. Great for family outings. People also bring dogs there and there are bag dispensers to clean up after pets.
This is a great park and nature center. We love to come check out the animals (and feed them sometimes!) and play at the playground. We love that there are walking trails and places to explore, too. Great place to enjoy Gods creation!
Clark Park is a great little nature park in Fayetteville. There is a nature center and several short unpaved trails as well as parking for the Cape Fear River Trail, a 5-mile greenway trail. There is even a small waterfall right behind the Nature Center. Its on a very small creek so best to visit the waterfall after a heavy rain. We stopped for a short hike to see the waterfall and then a longer hike on Cape Fear River Trail.
Nice and clean. Not a lot of things to do playground wise but beautiful trails
Clean, well kept park with a excellent trail. Best in Fayetteville area.
Lots of things for kids to touch and look at. Plus real animals to look at behind glass: snakes, lizards, turtles, baby alligator, and outside: playground, nature trails, a waterfall, covered bridge. Great place to spend time.
