Beautiful place to lose yourself in nature! Love having this so close by. (My little kids love it too!) And when the bird sanctuary is open its a huge treat for the kiddos! Very cool.
So pretty and a nice way to get some nature in your day.
Really enjoyed the trails and even the shop inside, live animals also inside like snakes and turtles and frogs and especially seeing the owls was so much fun. The trails were well managed and the signage was adequate. They supply a free map and a *suggested* donation of $2/per person. There’s a bathroom inside to use pre or post hike provided they don’t close up while you’re out. Some of the elevated boardwalks could slightly use some TLC but overall they were in good enough shape. No dogs allowed and check the hours as they do close early in the off season.
Great place to loose yourself for an hour or two
Before breakfast I like to tweet with the birds in real life and then paint a bird or 3 that flew over the mans nest
Perfect escape into guided trails. $2 suggested donation to experience the walk. Consider a membership if you frequent.
Nice place too go for a hike, see the birds in the enclosure, if its open, & look at some reptiles and amphibians. Also you can buy some memorabilia in the gift shop. Seems some parts of trails have not been taken care of lately, maybe when weather warms up ;-)
Great, knowledgable staff and just a nice place to be
Amazing trails to walk
Lovely walk through the woods tended by Eagle Scouts... a plus!
Wonderful place to daytrip with the kids
Lately Ill tweet with birds in person here
This is the best place I have visited, a wonderful place with very kind people.
Nice place for hikes. Some of the southern trails were a bit narrow for my taste, but overall, even in winter there were some sights to be seen. Also has a nature center, but was unable to go inside because it was closed, but that might be something great for kids as well.
Can be buggy and hard for littles to walk/hike but its a beautiful space and the Audubon Society does wonders for the town of Fairfield! We love visiting!
Great place for a hike with family/furry friends
So wonderful to enjoy the beautiful nature paths. It was such a pleasure to see all the young folks contributing to take care of the fowl.
I enjoyed getting to spend an hourr of solitude here, listening to the birds chirping and the squirrels scurrying around the forest floor. It was also great to see the rehabilitated birds in their enclosure. I also am a huge fan of their mission of conservation.
Had an excellent walk on a cold clear day. Trails could be better marked but overall a great day out in the fresh air.
Love their summer camp
Linda did an amazing job leading inquiry-based activities that relate to earth and life sciences for our students.
A great place. Beautiful scenery, and the people here honestly care about the environment.
Great playground for kids and they have a building to go in to see and learn about some animals there is also a pond to sit at or walk around
Nature at its finest. Enjoy a walk in the forest and unplug for a while.
Beautiful place to take a walk. Plenty of trails in a variety of lengths and difficulties. Good for kids!
The instructors were great and the kids had a wonderful time, cant wait to return!!
Nice place to bring kids to introduce them to nature.
Very tranquil hiking paths circle the property and seeing the birds up close is great for the kids.
Good trails, some of the most obscure ones were better marked.
Great walking trails. Dont miss the outdoor white owl exhibit
Nice Audubon center with gift shop, wildlife sanctuary and raptors on display.
Beautiful open space and great for family exploring. Recently went for family photo shoot.
Wonderful, educational facility for a family visit.
