First visit to Room Escape Fairfax and also first room escape experience. Overall very pleased with the organization, unique room layout experience and narrative, and fun “big brain” activity for friends and family. Completed the Joker room, and it was a great first experience that wasn’t too difficult or too easy; recommend for a first-time experience. Major shout out to Alex who is very cohesive with explaining and providing necessary help. He’s very friendly and capable of holding a conversation. 11/10 recommend—both Alex and the room escape experience.

We did the Frightful Feast room. One of the better ones that I’ve done as it had multiple elements to the room. Requires you to use various senses and comes with a handful of surprises. Alex S. was our game room assistant and he was hilarious. Overall it was a great room.

The service was very good. They were accommodating to us running late due to a mix up with the location. The Escape from Venus II (level 2) was challenging and entertaining. We got out with a couple of minutes to spare.

So much fun!! We had a great time doing the joker room. We had ages 4-34, it was not too scary and the perfect amount of difficulty. We will definitely return.UPDATE: We came back with a group of kids and they did the Frightful Feast. Alex S. was AWESOME. He was so funny and was so great with our kids, and showed my freaked out four year old all around and made him feel so cool. We will return time after time!

This place is awesome! The first room our group did was 1960: History of the Future (back in May 2019) and it was pretty hard! We should have started with an easier room, ha! Our game master was awesome and actually gave us an extra 15 minutes once our time ran out so we could finish! We were SO CLOSE and with a few helpful clues, we escaped!This time we did Save The White House II (July 2019). We had a much better idea of what to expect and flew through the room with little difficulty! We only asked for one clue and finished with about 15 minutes left on the clock! Our next room with be The Cure in November. We cant wait!Adult Date Night + Escape Room +Dinner = a wonderful evening in Fairfax! Thanks for a great time! :)

I took 2 boys (6 and 8 y.o) to do the bowl Voyage. There were able to solve some puzzles on their own and needed help with others. If we got stuck, the staff was nice enough to give us hints and even gave us extra time beyond the hour to let us escape. Alex S. was patient with us and very enthusiastic when talking to the kids. There was a good amount of puzzles and we had a lot of fun. Will come back again and recommend to others!

Had a blast here with friends, we did the frightful feast and the thrill was amazing my friends and I had to put our brains to test it was super tough yet enjoyable and rewarding. It was our second time doing an escape room here and it never disappoints.

My boyfriend and I did the 1960: History of the Future escape room and it was a lot of fun. The room was clean and easy to interact with. We were so close to finishing the room when our time ran out, so our guide allowed us to take a little bit of extra time to complete the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this Escape Room and facility!

We had such a great time at Room Escape! With everything going on related to COVID-19 they ensured the highest standard of sanitation and safety. It was just our party allowed in the space at a time and there was sanitation stations everywhere you turned.We decided to do the hardest room (2233: Fighting for the Future). It was incredible. This is was my 5th Room Escape and absolutely the best one. I loved how doors kept opening and kept leading us to new adventures.Great experience and huge shout out to Alex for booking us and Eli for being an incredible game master. He was not only helpful but really loved his job!Well be back.

Did one of their rooms for the first time today.....and OMG my favorite place by far. The young woman that answered the phone was so patient and helped me choose the perfect room for my family. So much fun!! The clues, puzzles and amount of detail that goes into these rooms never cease to amaze me. My family and I have done the majority of the rooms at this location and each room is different and surprising. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. A big shout out to our game host Alex S. He always makes the experience enjoyable and exiting.

Had such a great time. Have been here 3 times and will definitely keep going back. Our group hit a bit of traffic on the way and they were extremely accommodating to allow us to begin a few minutes late and extremely friendly about it as well. I definitely recommend and will return!

Our family did 2 rooms here and both were great. The folks here are very professional and the puzzles were appropriate. The game masters are fun to work with and helped us not to get too lost or off track. They have a lot of different rooms here and we will likely come back to do another in the near future.

Did the Bowl Voyage room with my husband for a date expecting it to be a silly night out. It was so much fun and the clues were really well thought out and entertaining. We already booked another room for the future.

Did two rooms here for a friends birthday party and it was actually pretty fun. The two rooms we did were horror themed and they were definitely scary! My friends and I unfortunately finished a room weong and they actually let us go back to finish it correctly and they give you lots of hints so you are able to finish the room. Very friendly staff as well.

We had a really great time. A ton of clues and problem solving giving everyone a chance to participate and be the hero. With a few hints along the so as to not be stumped too long. And the staff was friendly and informative. We will be back.

It’s definitely a great experience in here, me and my friends all ENJOYED it. If you think about come, don’t hesitate, cause you wouldn’t regret. Plus, even the easy ones are not too easy compared to other escape room I went. So it’s totally worth the price.

We did the Escape from Joker room and it was awesome. We only had 3 people, and we were able to complete it. My 11 year old daughter had a blast solving problems. The location was very clean and out together. We will definitely be back!

We did the 1960: Escape to the Future today, and it was a blast! Apparently this is one of the more difficult rooms to escape from, but with the excellent clues from guide Sarah, who was very friendly and fun, we made it through with 10 minutes to spare. Good room for group problem-solving, collaboration, and creative thinking. Highly recommend Room Escape Fairfax!

We have done two rooms here (1960s and 2233) and both have been so great. Alex hosted us today and it was so fun! Definitely would recommend. We just signed up for our third room for a 20% discount.

My son and I had a blast yesterday! Alex N took great care of us! It was our first time trying any kind of Escape Room before. He is 8, and doesn’t usually sit still for long. The adventure kept him enthralled the entire time! Alex made him feel like a little celebrity when we completed the challenge. We will most definitely be back for a different Room the next time we’re in Fairfax!

It was great talking to Andrew about his own personal escape room experiences while we were waiting to start our room. He’s done over a hundred, a true expert! Spencer helped us at the end and was a great photographer. He helped us capture the experience in a picture with the great signs they provide. This is our 4th room here, and we are sure we’ll be back for more. Tons of creative minds and helpful employees. Recommend 10/10!!

Great escape room experience. I especially liked how Spencer, our helper, chimed in when we were getting stuck to let us know we were doing something right but needed to move slower. The fish themed room was very fun and had lots of great details though a group of more than 4 or 5 people might be too much as the space wasnt huge. We cannot wait to go back again! Also they were very covid aware and had lots of hand san and Spencer wiped everything down again in front of us. We got there a little early and so were able to start our room before our actual start time.

My team and I went to this location for a team building exercise. We had a fun-filled challenging experience in Molly’s horror room. Alex N. was very pleasant and informative. We highly recommend and would certainly visit again.

Fairfax has always been such a great time! The rooms are very fun and challenging for new and experienced players, and are accommodating for all ages, with exception to a few. I highly recommend the 1960’s room! The staff, big shout-out to Sara, is very friendly and are so wonderful. They are very helpful and communication is great both before and during your game. I suggest you check it out if you haven’t before!

This was a company event for G&C - Everyone had a blast and talked about it at work the following week. We will do it again for sure. Next time it may be the mobile bus & have them come to our office. We split into teams for some friendly competition. Awesome company event! Great for team building or just pulling the staff together for some fun.

We really enjoyed the Save the White House experience here. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Our two recommendations to the owners for those who escape the room would be to do something a bit more than a low volume video when you find out you escaped (something more celebratory would be great after a lot of hard work - maybe turn up the volume a bit on the video? flicker some lights?), and offer some props for a fun photo at the end. The anticlimactic end was our only complaint, otherwise, it was great.

Eli was an amazing game master! He took his time to explain our game options when we arrived to make sure we played the best game for us despite the other games he was managing. After the game, it was nice to learn about how the games were created. Eli was upbeat, fun and professional throughout our visit. Definitely a must go to place! Best escape room game so far

We had our younger sons 10th birthday party here with his friends and it was the best experience. Seamless, very organized, loads of fun, no chaos like you experience at other party venues. Just incredible. We went back as a family to play and it was just superb. Highly recommend this place. Staff is great - the games are awesome. Cant say enough. Try it!!

I chose to do our my bridesmaids and his groomsmen proposals at the Room Escape in Fairfax. They did an amazing job incorporating the proposal boxes into the Save the white house room that we did. We had an amazing time and im sure the staff there did too as they were watching us try and solve the puzzles. The staff was amazing in helping us and even took extra time to make sure the proposals worked out well with the game. I loved it and would definitely come back. We all had an amazing time.

Fun time we had at the Escape Room. Half the team did a 1960s theme while the other half solved the Future. Very challenging, really tests your brain and communication skills. Sara was our helper and man we would of failed if it wasnt for her saving the day. Very resourceful. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Definitely will return.

I had a great time playing Mollys Horror Room at Room Escape DC! The venue itself was very professional and had a great atmosphere. The room was high quality. Ive played a good deal of games, and I love it when I am surprised by how a puzzle works. Our experience started out with a bit of a slow burn, but once we solved one puzzle the rest kind of fell into place. The second half of the game was extraordinarily creepy, and had some wonderful surprises. I cant wait to try some more rooms here!

Such a fun experience! Didnt realize I had selected one of the hardest escape rooms there - (Mollys Horror) but we were up for the challenge and enjoyed it so much (6 in our group)! We had such a great time and the staff (Savannah and Alex N.) was so friendly!

Fantastic experience. Their rooms have a brilliant design with incredible themes that make you want to go. They have all kinds of puzzles and magnetic locks that open containers in different parts of the room. I highly recommend.

I went to Room Escape Jokers Trap with 9 of my friends. We had a great time. The room is well designed. The puzzles were challenging, but solvable for 16-year-olds. Id definitely do it again.

We visited Room Escape as a family outing (teens, and grandpa). Wanted something fun but not physical so that my father could participate - it was a blast! Staff was friendly and helpful - Everyone in our group was able to contribute to our escape and it was an exciting challenge. We did Mollys Horror Room - some dark matter material so use caution if you are considering younger kids (many other rooms to choose from).

My daughter and her four friends did the Bowl Voyage for her 10th birthday. They had so much fun and escaped just in time, it was the perfect challenge for their age. Staff was friendly and I felt the girls were very safe during their experience here. We will definitely come back.

My group did Molly’s Horror room for my birthday and it was such a blast! The room itself was just scary enough to keep us on edge and our game master Katie did such an amazing job explaining rules and giving us hints when we were stumped! This place has really evolved from several years ago. They have many rooms, with some varied sizes, and a variety of themes that were well decorated. We did the 5 key one and it was very well done with a variety of clues, that once solved, made sense, but were challenging to complete.

It was a great time! Katie is a wonderful host and loves scaring you. So if you want something thought provoking and fun and maybe just a little scary, make sure you go!

We didnt know what to expect when we got in Mollys room. Mollys room was very challenging, but your structure for getting through it, fantastic! Pippin did a great job explaining what we needed to do, and was very fun when we were going through the room. We dont live close to you, but when we visit DC again for more history education, we fully intend on completing a few of the rooms. The kids absolutely can not stop talking about how much fun it was to get through these challenges. Thank you for hosting this. Your cost is very reasonable as well, thank you for that as well.

I’ve done 2 of their escape rooms and both were awesome! I highly recommend trying them out. About to do my third one, this time at the Arlington location. Whoever the engineer is for these rooms is amazing, it’s crazy how some of the puzzles work.

Room we tried was fairly challenging. Place is clean and staff were friendly and explained everything pretty well. Its in a very nice area, but place is kind of easy to miss (stairs down).

This has been my favorite escape room experience so far. My party of 7 did The Frightful Feast and it was the first time visiting this particular establishment. The first thing that popped out at me when I entered was the lobby was clean and comfortable. We arrived a couple minutes late, but the staff assured me that it wasn’t a problem. In fact, the staff was really cool the whole night. It only took a couple of minutes to get started. The quality of the room was also really top notch. Nothing felt cheap or poorly assembled. There was some new, fun aspects to this room that I’ve never seen in other places. I’m not going to say too much about that because I don’t want to spoil anything. Real thought was put in to the construction of the escape room. The story was really fun and I’m eager to try another room.

My family and I came here and did the Survive the Jokers Trap and it was an absolute blast! We have done escape rooms together before and this one was tricky, but doable! Katie and Alex S were our guides and they were both awesome. We loved it so much that we are going back again to do another room!

Weve been to a number of different escape rooms and Escape Fairfax has some of the best themed rooms Ive seen. Props and puzzles are excellent and its not all combination locks like many places. Alex S was a great gamemaster! Lots of fun!

The location is a bit confusing to find but parking is decent. The game we played was fun, a little challenging, and very small for a group of four. Im looking forward to going back to try one of the larger rooms but hate the fact that if you dont book the ENTIRE room, youre forced to play with strangers. With the virus going around right now, maybe they should think about allowing groups to play alone for the time being.

Place is cool as hell to go to, definitely works your brain more than you’d think. Our voice on the other side of the walkie-talkie, Sarah, was a big help with clues but didn’t give much away to spoil the game and the fun. Definitely a must to visit and give a try. Gonna come back again in the future!
