Its a very nice place to give a chance for individuals that dont have any place out in the country to walk or set in the car and enjoy a little nature. Also during daylight it is a nice place for a first meet. Relaxing atmosphere.

We had a great time feeding the geese and ducks some of the geese where nipping at your fingers

Mostly pleasant. Decent enough body of water for the Midwest. Lot of bird droppings. Other patrons make or break the experience. Needs posted signage regarding noise from parties/gatherings. Trail has sections in dire need of upkeep. Dock needs lots of attention. You know what, scratch that. Mostly unpleasant, but unfortunately the best dog-friendly park in town.

I hope the playground, the basketball and tennis courts, the swimming pool, and the shelter house that was tore down are going to be replaced. All of these were used by many many people, adults and children. For them to be taken away and not be replaced is inexcusable, probably criminal. I bet what is now being built will cost more to get in than the local neighborhood families can afford. Unbelievable.

This park is a perfect get together place.. walking tour dog or a picnic!

I wanna love this park like I did as a child. But unfortunately it seems the state doesnt seem to care about it. They removed the newer park equipment to put the new pool in.. which is find but couldnt they have used that play equipment to replace the broken one on the other side of the park. Its dangerous jagged edges broken slides missing poles and safety shield.

Beautiful woth lots to do!! Especially in the fall with all the pretty leaves.

I have not been there in years, I will be there this weekend I grew up in that park, I learned how to fish in that lake,I got attacked by ducks and geese for the first time in my life, I had my first kiss in that parkGreat park I even learned how to swim at the swimming pool that’s what happens when you live directly across the street from the park for 13 years

This is a great place to fish the fish may not always be big but at least we catch fish and they keep up with their park and the geese are awesome

Garvin Park is a really nice park. One thing though: The geese that live there, live there all year round because they dont fly south. Go figure. There are really too many to deal with. But other than that its a nice park.

The lake is very over grown and a lot of trash in the lake the grass is well kept as trees are but the lake Ive seen looking better still a large amount of dead leaf along the lake it could look better

Quiet place to sit and relax

I truly think Garvin Park is a local treasure in Evansville. I personally go this time of year to eat persimmons from the tall persimmon trees. I enjoy watching the ducks and geese in the lake and the squirrels in the trees. The music festivals offered periodically at Garvin Park are always well-attended and a lot of fun.

Been coming here since I was a kid love this place, great place for a family outing, All kinds of events during the summer in when its warm out. I know in the picture doesnt seem like much but there is playgrounds a lake a gazebo swimming pool basketball courts you name it, if youre looking to go to a park in Evansville this is the part to go to for a peaceful afternoon

Came here to to meet a date. Got stood up so whatever. They had all the Christmas lights up so I walked around and enjoyed them by myself they were amazing. Thanks for standing me up Ming.

One complaint about Garvin Park is the shortage of bathroom facilities. Great place for a picnic, feeding ducks and geese, and fishing.

Its a nice park. The fantasy of lights at Christmas time is pretty cool too.

There is a play structure for kiddos, swings, and picnic tables for snack time as well. It worked for me to get some fresh air for the kiddos.

Love walking and running on the Greenway .

Its a nice quiet Oasis in the middle of a fast moving city. There are paths for nice exercising walks, and a pond drawing in wildlife..... pleasing to watch. There is even a bike path and a playground for the kiddos. I think u can rent pavilions for parties in the park. HAVE FUN!!!!!

The fish were biting pretty good today but the current was too fast near the creek . I would definitely suggest anyone to go fishing there. Its quiet and quite peaceful and there are a lot of big fish in the pond

We went for the Fantasy of Lights. Did the carriage ride. It was great!

I no longer visit this display. There is not one scene showing the real meaning of the season. I respect what they are collecting money for, however, they should respect the true meaning of Christmas. There are plenty of charities to support that do.

We love to go to park, since its just down the street from us. But when grounds people come to cut the grass they should weed eat the whole park. Including around the lake.Go down street a little more to Jacobville Park, and its neatly cut and weed eat. So whats wrong with this picture??

Ive been riding my new bike and at least 2 or 3 times a week. Love that you can ride around the lake and enjoying the weather and the fact you have a great time and relax thank you.

My bf and I went there today with 15 pounds of corn. We had a blast hand-feeding some of the big geese!! It was the first time I wasnt too scared to do it.Beautiful park!!

We absolutely live this park! Great play areas for the kids. The grounds are kept relatively clean, and everyone we have interacted with at the park have always been so nice.

Looks like it was a nice park, once upon a time. Homeless people here and there. Even in the bushes. Shady people sitting around scoping out there next victim. I went into the restroom. Nasty. Syringes and empty alcohol bottles all over the floor. Came out of the restroom and a guy was waiting on me. Wanting change and cigarettes. A shady character just came out of the bushes by the lake. Not a safe park for anyone. Especially women and children. And especially not after dark. I would not sit foot in this park after dark for no amount of money. They need to get some good full time security people. Upgrade security measures. And lock this place down.

Enjoyed the ducks and geese that call the parks pond home. Trees are especially pretty in the fall.

Went to the music fest they hosted. It was beautiful weather, great music, lots of food choices and the staff and volunteers of the fest were doing a great job.

Garvin Park is always great, year round. When its warm out, a picnic by the lake is a great way to spend you lunch break, and when winter comes around, the Fantasy of Lights is perfect for a family or a date night! Also, though the pool is small, its usually pretty quiet and fun to be at.
