Roar and Snore at the San Diego Safari was an awesome experience. I heard people say that you can hear lions roar at night and when I visited the exhibit I heard there were only four lions in the park. I thought “yeah right, how loud can these lions be? They dont even move, I bet we wont hear them roar tonight.” But that night sure enough I could never have been more wrong in my life. The lions were loud, so much so that my 10 year old son stayed up listening to them excitedly. He could not wait to see them in the morning. And as soon as we got up at 6 am we headed to the lions, and the experience to see them up close, albeit behind the glass was amazing. These lions are big, they are more than half the size of a cow, they could eat a cow! After that, we saw the tigers and they are equally amazing. Everything I paid for the Roar and Snore was well worth it and more. This would be an experience my children will never forget. The staff at the zoo were great, they were attentive and very helpful. Everyone I spoke to was always happy to help. Keep up the great work SD Safari!
We had a great time masks and all! Took the Safari Cart Tour and spent some time herding with the giraffes. Got to hang out with some awesome gorillas (from a safe distance) but close enough.... saw the lion and herd him roar! had some food and drink and did a little shopping. Plenty to see and do. Nice trip!
Super fun zip line! The guides were super friendly and it was a high quality tour. He warned us before bumps, and answered any questions we had about the animals. Animals seem very well taken care of with all the space to roam and they seem very happy in general. Our guides for the caravan tour were just as great, and the private tour felt very personalized. The driver picked a very good path that he took us on, and it was amazing overall. The park is very clean, and staff are helpful all over. The volunteers are experts and go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun experience.
If you are in San Diego and looking for an awesome outdoor activity to do this is your spot to see. There are limitations since COVID 19 Restrictions are in place. You have to wear your mask continuously. The tram system is not operational so put on your walking shoes and get some great exercise with AWESOME scenery! They do have private truck and cart tours if you wanna shell out the dough. $336 and up for 6 people maximum in your party. All in all still an great tourist destination well worth the visit.!!
This is a lot of walking. Total we did around 5 miles. Completely worth it. There are a variety of animals and experiences. Some come at an extra price so please plan ahead. Right now there are quite a few things closed. I recommend calling ahead to make sure the things you want to see are available. Staff is very knowledgeable. There are lockers in the front to store your belongings and you can bring in your own food and water.
Great safari park, on the expensive side considering not everything is included for that 60 per person price. Obviously not all exhibits are open because of covid, but the majority were. This place is huge so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to cover the whole park I would say at the very least, 3 to 4 hours. Overall I would go again, just remember it will not be cheap. 2 adults was $135.
Too much to do in one day. We recently moved here and just decided to be members as there is so much to see. There were not as many animals as I expected (a lot of birds though) but the grounds are beautiful. The paths meander around the park and even without a map we think we saw most of it. It was a good six hours of walking (short break at one of the cafes to enjoy the view). This park is huge with a fairly large space between habitats. If you are going to see a wide variety of animals the Zoo is better suited but if you enjoy walking this is very nice. There are a lot of hills which are easy to navigate but need to be considered. We will be back. Again and again
Excellent park to see world animals. During Covid is open with limitations: rides and groups safari are not available. You can only order private safari and tours when entering the park. Most of other areas are open. We spent about 5 hours and saw pretty much all. Be ready to do a lot of walking. We did about 4 miles total. Hot food is available at multiple restaurant throughout the park. Great place for kids and adults to spend a day!!
Covid has not made this one bit less of an amazing experience. With fewer people allowed in, there is plenty of open spaces, beautiful vistas and no lines. Our entire family enjoyed a leisure visit. We were able to see every single exhibit. Theyve done an excellent job keeping this place fun and safe!
Certainly a great way to see some amazing animals. Unfortunately, with Covid there was no ability to go on the safari drives, which really sets this apart from the SD Zoo. The Bonsai Pavilion was pretty cool though!
It is a great place to come, but with the pandemic I do not recommend bringing your children as there are not as many animals as the San Diego Zoo has. Additionally, the African Tram is closed due to the pandemic which is the main activity in Safari Park that takes you to see animals in a large environment. If there was no pandemic I would highly recommend it to bring your kids, because at the San Diego Zoo the Kids area is being remodeled for now.
Its a small place, you can probably zip through there in 30 min, however we loved it so much we took our time and stayed for 2 hours. We saw 2 San Diego Zoo Safari Park talks and my 4 yr old nephew loved it. You can see most animals up close and they seem to be very well taken care of. Definitely would come back.
Doing a great job striving to be Covid safe. The safari experiences you pay extra for are open and only your group so a great chance to do them without anyone else as you ride in the open back.
Due to COVID, many exhibits are closed to minimize exposure to animals, so any exhibit where you might pet an animal, was closed. You must wear a mask around the park, and staff did a great job of reminding people to do so. In spite of all that, we had a wonderful time as we always do....it was just a little different! Staff remain wonderfully dedicated to these animals and its just a gorgeous place to walk around and see gorgeous, amazing animals!!
Went with reservations given the recent spike in Covid cases but as an outdoor park and many close proximity activities closed I think they have done an amazing job to keep the balance between fun and safety. Kids really enjoyed it and we didnt miss the crowds
Nice environment to trek upon. It is truly an amazing park filled with lovely animals. The staff there are truly tremendous and courteous. Excellent ice cream and frozen lemonades! Perfect treats for a hot summer day! . One of the staff members was kind enough to walk around with me and tell me about all the animals as we passed each exhibit.
Love this place, but where is the diversity?! It breaks my heart to only see one nationality on most of the park. We need to incorporate all races, because we are all contributing in keeping these parks open. We need to diversify the zoo rangers especially. There are children that would love that opportunity if given too them. God bless ️
Beautiful park, very clean, well themed, attention to detail is amazing. The animals look happy and have a ton of space to roam around. It was originally a breeding facility, that they turned into a place for people to observe the animals. It is a 1000 acre park with abundant places to view the wildlife. There are plenty of different trails to take, and a ton of places to sit, rest and watch the animals. The terrain has many hills, and it is quite a bit of hard walking, they do provide electric scooters for those in need of them. It is extremely family friendly, and has playgrounds for children to get out their extra energy. If you are into alcohol, they serve different beers at every food spot. The park does beer tasting where you can pay $25, get a wristband and receive four 12 ounce beers. They also have mixed drinks at restaurants. During Covid they have some exhibits closed, limited attendance, masks are to be worn at all times, they have hand sanitizer, and hand wash stations set up throughout the park. I have been going here since I was a kid and it is nice to see how much it has evolved over the years. I love it, I hope you visit and you fall in love too.
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, formerly the Wild Animal Park, is a very fine venue for families. It suffers from a lack of animal exhibits. The exhibits they do have are excellent and the staff is plentiful, knowledgeable and helpful. So I have mixed emotions about the number of stars to give for this review. For example, several exhibits were closed, the reservations for the dining venue we made months ago and confirmed the day before were for a restaurant that was closed. It was an OK trip to an ok venue, but the entry prices and extra safari prices are very high and we expected more. They are to be commended for their work and research with the animals which is a big plus.
A nice early morning to visit. Not crowded. Great walk to around. The interpreter volunteers are wonderful.
We loved the excursions, and they were packed with fun. The zoo keepers were packed with knowledge. We did the wildlife safari (formerly the caravan safari) and the flight-line safari (zipline). We could not have been more impressed. This place obviously cares deeply about animal well-being, and is also incredibly clean and well maintained for visitors.
Been coming here for years. It’s a gigantic park with a lot of different stuff to do! I’d recommend coming after COVID-19 restrictions are over though, as there will be much more to do. There are a bunch of really nice themed gardens here, my favorites being the bonsai and the succulent. The marsupial, platypus, elephant, and bat exhibits are my favorite. The tram is also one of the best parts of the park! I’d suggest bringing a hat, sunscreen, water, and your own lunch. They allow you to bring a backpack and food, and the food at the park is overpriced and not great. Also keep in mind that you’ll need about 5-7 hours here. Come at opening to avoid crowds.
My family and I love the Safari park. Even during covid-19, which has brought some different restrictions, its a blast! We got to enjoy their misters today, which was a super rad addition to the cool breezes under all the trees. The staff is always friendly, and gave us quite a few good laughs. I can always admit food is pricey, but reasonable in some aspects. Love the free refills on the drink, definitely worth it for a group. Also, enjoyed seeing all the new spots they have been constructing. Cant wait to go back when everything is reopened!
Had a great time taking a guided behind the scene tour. Had visited the park many years ago still a great place to visit wild animals in a fairly large habitat unlike many zoos that keep these magnificent creatures in small enclosures. Park looked well kept and clean, staff were inviting and friendly and above all animals looked healthy and cared for.
Bought a pass early this year. Havent used it because of the closures and after reopening its just been too hot to be at Safari Park. Enjoyed the day. Weather was beautiful and took our time so saw some neat things with the animals. There were a lot of areas closed. Had this been my first time or had I paid full admission I think I would have been extremely frustrated.
Definitely a great local substitute for an African safari. Fully recommend the truck tour to get up close and personal with the animals. Baby giraffe was adorable, and the baby rhino was a goofball. Lil thing charged a water buck and almost got the water buck in trouble with mom. Guides were incredibly knowledgeable, and really made it a fun experience. The rest of the park was nice. Its more walking.than the zoo, but it feels more like youre out in nature. Lots of trees and plants to enjoy along with the animals. If its warmer time of year bring water, or at least a nice insulated water cup so you can get ice and refills as you pass vendors.
Awesome place. Watched Deer cross while eating was a beautiful sight. Even with Covid rules, it is still enjoyable. Membership is a must!
Come see some of the most fantastic creatures from around the world and our own California backyard! Many of the animals here are rescues so rest your tender little hearts humanz are doing some good for these beautiful creatures. Climate change is a very real issue that was created by humanz and effects EVERYONE & EVERYTHING ON PLANET EARTH. Come gain some knowledge on how and what to do to keep these animals healthy, safe, and thriving in the world. TOGETHER WE CAN DO BETTER! Bring the whole family and bring plenty of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and an open mind ready to learn. The zoo/safari staff are well trained and quite knowledgeable you wont be disappointed! ️
TONS OF WALKING. Going during covid was nice because the park was to ourselves. But almost everything was closed. The trams, parks, some exhibits. We spent nearly all the time walking and walking (masks on) and saw very few animals.
This park is HUGE!!!We stayed for roughly 6 hours and only got to see 25-30% of the park, it is THAT BIG! It is definitely a 2-3 day visit park if you want to see all of it comfortably. The trams were not running while we were there, due to the pandemic, which likely would have helped us see more of the park. That being said, the staff were enforcing wearing masks and keeping distance between guests. We felt safe and relaxed while there.Due to the location of the park, it does get very hot. I would recommend taking an umbrella/parasol for the areas that arent shaded and possibly even a personal fan. Also, be prepared for a lot of walking. It is a lovely park filled with interesting animals and I hope I get to visit again soon!
The park is epically clean and the employees are very friendly. Maybe it will be a better experience for someone when the pandemic rules subside, but for now there were way too many exhibits, snack shops, trams and such that are closed to charge the same amount. Animals do what they want to and sometimes they arent in plain view doing a dance, but that is expected. What is not is at least one third of the park is closed due to the pandemic and still being charged as if there is 100% of the park available. Also, if you need assistance walking, get a mobilized scooter. Pushing a wheelchair is brutal.
Great day to visit the Safari Park, the weather was great. A little disappointed that the tram wasnt operating, but Covid has changed everyones operations.Really crowded, due to offering free kids entry all month, but I felt they were doing as much as possible for social distancing.Ill definitely go back again and would recommend everyone to go at least once.
Great Fun for kids! Get there early 9am and where proper and comfy walking shoes. October is the best time to go as all kids are free!
The park was nice and clean. You will want to wear some comfortable walking shoes. There wasnt an influx of people when we went around 2pm. Many options werent available like the hot air balloon, cheetah run, various exhibits and the kids play area.
Colvid safe place!! Social distancing in place... Hand sanitizer on every corner.. And people running around disinfecting everything.. Not to mention all the beautiful animals you get to learn about
Always so much fun, never disappointed with the selection of wildlife to see. Call ahead to have a great table at The Watering Hole for lunch. And make sure to book a Safari to see the animals up close.
Beautiful place. I was sad the tram wasnt working thanks to covid. Definately got lots of exercise. Cant wait to go back to zipline
The Safari park is great! I recommend the Tiger trail! Bare in mind unlike the Zoo parking is $15 with no re-entry
Such a beautiful place. The animals are in beautiful realistic spaces. I love the water features everywhere. And it was not too crowded like it is at the zoo.
Highly recommend the safari experiences. We did the Wildlife/Caravan Safari and the Flightline safari. They were very fun and the workers were extremely nice and have great knowledge of the animals!
During this time of Covid-19 the park was very clean. Went there with my Service Dog training group. We all had a nice time. We had lunch and walked around re-certifing of service dog in different places. We enjoyed our time there. The park was clean and people were masked and social distancing.THANK YOU WILD ANIMAL PARK FOR MAKING OUR DAY ENJOYABLE IN THIS TIME OF A DIFFICULT SITUATION!
So much fun. There is a great variety of animals and all well kept in large exhibits. All staff was so friendly and especially Peggy our tour guide for the cart safari. What a wonderful adventure to see the park from that point of view.
Something fun to do outside! The tram is currently not open during COVID-19. Check out their season keeper passes for some deals.
This park is great! And huge! Get there early and wear comfortable shoes. All of the animals are very well taken care of and have great environments in which they live. Lots of animals to see in exhibits that replicate their natural environments. The cost of admission helps the park take care of the 3,500 + animals, many of which are endangered or near endangered. Shuttles are available. There is also a zip line, adventure course and hot air balloon available for additional fees. Several cafes, snack shacks and restaurants are available. All of the food we had was very good. Check out the refillable drink option. Mid week and cooler days are best. The animals are more active when its cooler and even in light rain or sprinkles. There are also a few different playgrounds for the little ones.
Its a beautiful park, especially when it is not crowded. Very lush, and relaxing. Wild animals are added bonus IMO as they are not visible at all times. If you keep your expectations high you might get disappointed. Totally worth the yearly pass so you can keep coming back.
The San Diego Zoos Wild Animal Park is an amazing area to see many animals and wildlife in a more open setting. There are still certain enclosures, but many regions of the park hold vast areas that allow animals to roam more freely. The views found around the park are worth admission alone!Certain tours and walkthroughs are currently closed due to Covid, but when they open back up you will want to make sure to check them out!
This park is a must-visit! Lots of incredible animals and exhibits to see, you could easily spend all day here, especially if you add on a safari. Many pavilions and picnic tables to stop and eat throughout the park too, which makes bringing your own food in a lot more convenient if you dont want to spend much while there. And considering the ticket and parking fees will already set you back nearly $75/person before adding excursions, its not a bad idea.I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but my biggest complaint is navigating the park. The maps throughout dont seem to line up with the actual layout and exclude a lot of paths. So many times we thought we were going the right way only to reach a dead end. The signs also arent the easiest to follow. Compared to other zoos and amusement parks Ive been to, this one could really use better directions.Additionally, we went a week after the park reopened due to COVID and were still charged full price for everything despite not being able to fully enjoy all that comes with the ticket price - the tram and other things were shut down, which I completely understand for everyones health and safety. However, maybe they could offer free parking to make up for it or slash the ticket price a bit?
This was our first visit to the San Diego Safari Park and it was awesome. Especially because during the month of February seniors get in free. We arrived mid-week and the attendance was not to bad. It was a beautiful day and we got to see about half of the park. This place is huge and you should plan on a two day event if you want to see everything. Since we got in free we decided to purchase our food at the park. The portions were large and the food tasted good but it was pricey. Guests are allowed to bring in food and drink but no coolers. Plus they also served beer! I saw lots of strollers for the little ones and they had rental electric scooters for us seniors or those with walking problems. The place is very handicapped access. Its nice to be able to see animals close up and in somewhat natural surroundings.
A complete rip off during Covid 19. Rather then paying employees to stand around guarding elevators, pathways how about paying them to operate the concession stands. Its all closed people. Concession stands, soft serve icecream, African tram, nectar bird feeding, bats, condor ridge, and more theyre all closed:(
Took my mom and nephew here not knowing what to expect. Cool little sanctuary with nice staff but you can see everything in less than 30 minutes if you just walk through lol. We were done in about 45 minutes but it was worth it.
Very natural feel to the park, very well planned out. The caravan tour gets you right up close to the animals. Lots of slopes so be prepared for a hike.
Went during July 2020, everything was closed. African Tram, Cheetah Run, Ziplining, Balloon rise, etc. Got to have a nice 4 hour walk though. Beautiful scenery and some animals. Ive been here before when its fully open, it is a great place!! Id wait till after this Covid mess to fully enjoy it!
Absolutely incredible, and so much more magical than the San Diego Zoo. You can definitely see all the animals and exhibits in one day. I highly recommend that you begin the day early in the morning going to see the condors (as you are in the direct sun), then work your way going downhill. Covid precautions were very well organized, quick, and simple. Staff and volunteers were so kind and informative. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Freaking love this place! SO much to do and see, very large and tough to do eerything in one day. The open area exhibit is so cool with such a variety of animals in the same space is awesome!
Very nice, even with the Covid-19 restrictions in place, well organized. Great place to visit!
Just left the park after attending the Roar and Snore. I definitely recommend the premium tent(posted picture), the only option with electricity and an awesome view of the elephants(posted picture). The campground is super close to the lion enclosure as well and you can hear them throughout the night as well as the elephants.Overall great experience with limited park access after hours and re-entry on the next day. FYI no showers due to covid so be prepared for that.
Always a pleasure visiting the park. Its such a nice place to relax and enjoy a walk.
Great experience. Lots to do in 1 dat even during covid. They make you wear a mask though. We will be back.
We had such a great time here! The park staff (aside from the food workers for some odd reason) were very friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be bringing our own food next time because of a terrible experience with a restaurant here. The park was clean and very shaded which was nice. The misters were a great touch also.
Meh, it was okay. Too hot. The animals were not moving around too much. We had to walk the whole way. The tram was shut down due to COVID19.
Extensive variety of animals and environments, focused on African, Australian, and South Asian environments. An expansive park that could easily fill a full day if you took your time to see everything.
This is the best zoo I have ever been to. They have the only platypus outside of australia. I came here specifically for the platypus. He was great, swimming around, played in the waterfall, and had a great time. The park was very clean and well kept. The animals here looked great, and happy. They allow you to walk around with kangaroos, which was cute. I didnt stay too long, because of the people I was with. However, I would have spent an entire day here if they would have let me. It was absolutely spectacular. The gift shops had some great stuff too. It did have an expensive entry fee compared to other zoos I have been to, but I think it was well worth the price, even though I didnt have time to see the whole park.
I actually am loving the limited amount of people each day. Makes it so much more enjoyable to not have to deal with crowds. They always have the misters going which is so nice in the heat, and still have a lot of the exhibits open like the Australian walk and others that the kids thoroughly enjoy. Though all of the kid attractions, like the play areas, statues to take pictures on, and petting zoo are closed, as long as you let the littles know ahead of time, it should be fine. Mine really didnt seem to mind too much.
Extensive walking, steep inclines, bring water, pack your own snacks and lunch, their food is not recommended. Study the map well and be intentional about what you want to experience. Consider playing games and other fun games in the zoo to make it more exciting.
It was nice, everyone wore their masks for the most part . Ex. A lot of Moms . Way to show example.
A good place for a family day. However be aware that when we were there on Aug 30, they were prohibited from running tram rides and sky rides. They also cannot put on the entertainment shows they usually do.You can rent an excursion for your immediate family. Thats a safari truck where you pack grandma, the children and mom and pop (single family group). These are private excursions of the park and very expensive. So, bluntly, they have to operate as zoo only. No public amusements until a less strict Covid phase is declared. Id advise checking with them before going there. I dont know if the rules have since changed.Since so much of their usual stuff was closed, I have to give them 3 star. I know this is not their fault, but Im reviewing how things are under Covid restrictions.Bottom line: check with them for park status. If the rides and shows are still shut down, include that factor in deciding whether to go or not.
I almost always enjoy going here, they have so many fun things to do and so many different types of animals, its very big and the habitats are very pretty, I enjoy walking here and there is a lot of walking to do here indeed.
We have two little kids and they accommodate children well. We went when it was nearly 100 degrees and the park has plenty of stations to cool off and they will give you water to fill your own bottles as often as you like throughout the day. There is a lot to see and you get great exercise while there. Fun place to take the kiddos when most places are locked down.
So for the price and the experience it was nice. 60 for adults and 50nfor children 15 for parking... but due to covid they were charging $400 for a private tram ride as compared to free before covid happened. Which is really sad as to monetizing and taking advantage of the pandemic for financial gains
Terrific as always, baby rhinos this time, took the private cart (6 people max) which is Xtra price but your own driver guide for 90 minutes up close to the animals. Some good local beer selections in the Park too.It is a good full day trip and some good local wineries nearby to try afterwards.
I like that they are caring for these animals, but like everywhere you go these days, they gouge you on drinks, and be prepared for a $15 charge for parking your car while in the park! People should stop supporting this highway robbery! Nowhere are you informed it will cost you $50/day until you arrive and then surprise! Youve driven all the way out there and theyve got you! What else can you do but pay the fine for supporting their cause. Better yet, dont drive out there and save the carbon emissions and the sneaky parking fine!!!
Heard about it sooo much and I finally got there. Love the park. The animals are happier there because they are more free. Zipline over the park is awesome.
We see amazing new things EVERYTIME we visit the safari park. This time we were able to take a private cart tour. The guide was very informative and patient... the kids were asking questions non-stop
As most have said, this is a remarkable place. Very expensive, but I twice took advantage of the free admission promotion for seniors in February 2020. Parking is $15.00. The park excels at providing many opportunities for close-up animal encounters with keepers, though sometimes you wont be able to see other animals like the tigers and lions because their habitat is so large and densely planted. Good for the animals so thats OK.They put a lot of care into making guests comfortable and entertained and lots of education too, but not overly preachy. I really enjoyed the gorgeous landscaping and the theming of many areas, like Australia, was exceptional. Plenty of bathrooms and everything in the park was very clean and well-maintained. Id say the only downfall is the food service, which is overpriced and not particularly good. Id suggest bringing a picnic, if youre into that.Last thing, make sure you go on the Africa Tram, free with park admission. A wonderful chance to see many animals during a comfortable ride.
San Diego SAFARI in Escondido is Good+ for Families to get to see many animals closer than you normally see them at the Zoo. Youll need to budget for this trip as its $15 to park, $58 per Adult & $42 per Child 3-11-Years old, and theres good food with good service at the Watering hole restaurant thats overlooking the Rhinos, gazelles, & giraffes (for 9 adults and 2 kids we paid $330 with tip). We walked through through most of the Safari park. Be sure to see the Kangaroos & Wallabies walkthrough, and the apes and the Platypus exhibits are something our kids really enjoyed. And now 071620 during COVID-19 the park is less than 1/2 so theres not any lines to wait in, though theres also no live shows or rides, just the live animals in their enclosures. Good time had for all.
Its really amazing there, there are so many animals to see, so many things to do. And there are lots of activities for families. Except the balloon safari kinda scares me :)
Just visited with young grandson. As always enjoyed the day. Weve been regulars over 16 yrs, and it is a one of a kind experience normally. However, too much of the park is not being utilized or open to the public due to Covid-19. Its obviously not their fault and Im glad they have embraced health precautions. We will go again when the park is fully reopened after it is safe again.
Lovely place with good designs where you can spend days here enjoying learning more about animals
I go there once a week for a wonderful long walk, and to enjoy nature. It never disappoints.
Lots of things to see, but COVID restrictions are keeping all safaris closed. No zipline, no Africa Tram, no balloon ride, etc. Also, it is easy to get lost, even with a difficult- to- read map. The volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful though! The gorillas and Kangaroos were our favorite!
You have to be ready to walk miles and miles, to see minimal animals. And no tram, the best part of the Safari. Its not bad but you really have to make an effort.
Great placeBought annual pass. Open and masl required but lots of fun seeing the animals
Cool as anything. Mostly stroller friendly took forever to walk around definitely going to loose a few calories on the walk. But the exhibit are very cool. We went during carona and for the most part it was all normal. But the 2 or three attractions we went for were closed. Like guys come on the whole point is the safari tramp thing- and charging 600 for it kinda mean. But either way we loved definitely going back when the kids can walk
It was great to be back at Safari Park. Get there early when it opens at 9 am. All the animals are out and about. Also barely any people to be seen that early so was great especially during social distancing.
I always love coming here. Its usual not as full as the San Diego Zoo so I tend to come here more often.
Fun, clean, friendly environment. My 2 1/2 year old first time and he had a blast!️
Still open during COVID, I love taking my grandson here. He just loves when the monkeys rub their bums up on the car windows! Yikes! Really though, beautiful place and glad it can remain open.
Well curated place. Social distancing is well managed. Go on a weekday for leisurely strolling the grounds. Wear comfy shoes for a lot of walking. Good day trip with the kids.
Loved the Zoo! Cant wait for covid to be over so they can bring everything back. It was my first time and it didnt disappoint. Although we were going through a heat wave at the time. Its a beautiful place with beautiful animals.
Beautiful place. Something very interesting: they have lots of animals there.
Visited this location during COVID, masks do have to be worn while experiencing the zoo. The park was clean, not too crowded, the social distancing measurements were satisfactory. There was hand washing stations and sanitizers everywhere. The staff was very accommodating as well. The animals were such a thrill to see, i enjoyed the acrobatics as well. Make sure to dress cool, bring cozy shoes AND if you like pack a light lunch and beverages in your backpack :) enjoy
Vivid environment. And the shows are very interesting.
Me and my family had a great time even though somethings were closed do to covid19... bring some good walking shoes you will be walking all day
Great day at the park. I havent been there in 15 years. It was a spectacular day. Expensive but worth every penny. We beat the heat and we beat the crowds.
This is the best place ever! It is extremely expensive but worth it. They have different safaris. One is free but you have to pay for the other. You can go by yourself or with a small group. They have an option where you can stay overnight. They take care of their animals and inform you about a ton of interesting things that you can do to help animals all over the world. The food is so/so. There is plenty of parking but you have to pay for it, and its not cheap. I had a blast. Get ready to walk a lot. Also, go in the spring because more animals will be out. They will hide when it is too hot.
Have not been in quite a while, YEARS. Yet, at the same time if you want an incredible experience with Animals...THIS IS THE PLACE TO COME FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you take the tour where you get to see many animals scattered through out the park. Last time I was here was really hot that day. Cant go wrong coming here.
The park is spacious and open. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It can be a bit hot in the summer. Food/drinks are pricey, but that was expected. Proceeds go toward animal conservation so I dont mind.
Amazing environment to view animals. Tons of vegetation including bonsai and cactus gardens. Fun interactive experiences. Comfortable areas to rest. Several childrens play areas. This is much more enjoyable than the zoo in my opinion. The vibe is more relaxing. Also, good variety of food with many vegan options.
This is such an awesome place to go alone or with family. During the pandemic they are open with safety precautions in place which makes it the perfect place to get some fresh air and exercise while supporting the wildlife. The staff is very friendly and efficient always there to say hello or ask you if you need assistance. Love this place and the animals
A fun day, still lots to see even though the Tram and other things are currently closed.
