We luckily found this place on Google Maps when it didn’t appear in our other searches. Even folks who live in this area had no clue that this gem was right in their backyard. This is a nature preserve so it’s not paved nor lit and there are no restroom facilities but the paths are nice and the views are beautiful. The trails wind up and down and around a knob near New Haven Kentucky and would be very difficult if wet. Hiking sticks were helpful with the steep and narrow paths. We went early on Sunday and had the whole place pretty much to ourselves.
Peaceful and quiet. We had a great hike with only one small incident. The ground was wet and with the leaves can be slick.
Nice, beautiful mountain hike where you can walk where Abraham Lincoln childhood homestead was located! Luscious green trees and plants and hearing nature. We took the kids and they had a blast hiking too.
It was a beautiful hike. Saw some cool wildlife, only negative thing was you could hear the traffic, but its not terrible...
This is a tougher hike
Its steep and a few trees are down but its a fun trail run if you need to some good hill climbing. Very shaded and cool in the valley area.
Too many down trees to be a handy trail. Its ok, and a decent loop if you have to go to the dump anyway.
Nice hike and a lot of animals. For a small distance you cant hear the traffic from the interstate. I suggest bringing a spider whacking stick though.
Ok I have never been there!
Nice hiking trail. Took me about 3 hours to hike the whole thing.
My family and I loved it
Cool
Great place for a hike.
