This 1/2 mile trail follows Valley Creek behind a small neighborhood. It connects East Poplar St. and Springfield Rd. There is no immediate parking at the trailhead; although you can park at Haycraft Park or in a empty lot across Springfield Rd.Warning: The trail entrance is in the driveway of a private residence.Depending on the time of year the trail can be overgrown with foliage.
Quick jaunt. Parking best along the park there. Its along the creekside. If you pair it with the other trails, its more worth the time. Nice spot to just enjoy the outdoors. But still inside the city limits.
Very junky trail. Thrash strewn about in the woods all along the first part of the trail. Not just litter type trash but tires, vehicle parts, truck trailers, etc. Once we got to the actual lake we found out its just a mud hole and has been drained. Also, the maps are hard to understand and follow. Most of the hike we had no idea where we were.
