Its one of the best kept secrets on the seacoast. Beautiful hiking (most trails are kid friendly, but watch out for those spots that arent and are narrow/steep/drop off/or have poison ivy) gorgeous rocks lift the land up out of the bay and cover the beaches, plus theres a canoe/kayak launch. We took a baby in a carrier, a couple of 6 year olds, Grammy (shes young), and all has a great time until a root tripped a little one and we had to cut our hike short to go back to the car for a little cut clean up.
You know, this visit was really nice and uncrowded. I think we encountered 2 other walkers, while we hiked around the water. Lots of places to get down to the water to explore the shore, and lots of lovely views. The poison ivy is not a big deal if you know how to recognize it...Its abundant, but only off the edges of the trail (more of a concern for dogs than walkers).
Great place to start or end a kayak ride. Plenty of parking on environmentally friendly pavers. Views to die for and even a couple of picnic tables. Water is shallow so plan your trip accordingly, otherwise you will be stuck on a clam flat. Some boat traffic, but generally on other side of bay. Paddle to here from Exeter for a delightful 10.6 miles trip.
Awesome nature trail. Different sets of trails to take. You can get close to the water. Very nice
Lovely. Always lovely. Easy walk.
Great little walk suitable for young kids. Trail passing right next to water and in a forest. There are a few benches to sit and enjoy the view. Took us almost two hours walking very slowly and playing with every stick and puddle along the way. Could be slippery and icy in the winter, so proper snow boots are needed.
Awesome place to paddle boarding and kayaking.
Always beautiful views of the bay
Beautiful little hike full of wildlife and scenery
Great place for a quick walk.
Great place to enjoy the bay. Also, well maintained trail. Good place to hike with children
Walking around the point is pretty cool, you get some nice views of great bay from a lot of different angles. Trails range from easy to rough.
This place is a wildlife conservatory so its all outside there are walking trails and you can walk down right by the water and enjoy the view, you will also find a bunch of horseshoe crabs in the water and you can pick them up and check them out you can spend a little while here or the whole day and if you look hard enough youll understand why its called Adams Point
A great nature place to walk and possibly see Bald Eagles all around Great Bay.
Great walking and fishing
This is an absolutely beautiful place to be out in nature! There are great trails to walk and you can bring your dog. There are some amazing views of Great Bay! Definitely check it out!
Great place to walk and bring your dog. Also there is a boat landing before trails. You can go down to Waters edge from trails.
Wicked cool place. Fun to walk around. Lots of wildlife and plenty to do and stay busy with.
Great place to walk and view wintering waterfowl.
Nice kayak put-in, regardless of tides - but check tide tables... so you can choose to go with tides (for easier ride, or against for a bit more workout!)
Amazing place to go for a walk, or just to enjoy the natural beautiful surroundings. It is so quiet in here you can only hear the sound of the wind or songbirds. Rarely crowded.
It was okay. Very little wildlife, but it is along the water. There are other trails in the area Ive enjoyed more.
Good spot for a quiet walk at the coast. Lots of overgrowth so you feel secluded.
Beautiful hiking trails that go along wetlands and the Great Bay. Scenic views - great for photography. Good place for a 20-30 minute walk. No public bathrooms. It can get pretty muddy in the winter and spring or after rain.
Not very physically challenging, but a beautiful trail with stunning views of Great Bay.
Watch out for low tide
Beautiful area, not too well known. Short, easy nature trail. Durring low tide the rocky beaches are a welcome treat. Often fimd myself here when i just need to get away from the world for an hour or 2
Beautiful day. Nice hike.
Great spot for a short hike an a picnic.
Great piece of American History.
Great little local loading and unloading area for boats. If you continue up the hill youll come to the UNH Jackson Estuarine Laboratory and a small area for parking.
