Beautiful area with two big lakes, a playground, a shelter, and game fields in the back. I came by myself early one morning and was alone until about 10:30 AM. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend coming to this park!Do be a doll and clean up after yourselves should you choose to go. Leave places better than you left them. Don’t be like the people who litter everywhere in a beautiful spot of nature.

I had a bad experience here at evening. The playground side towards the trees stank like weed. I called the phone number listed to report and it always sounded busy. When I arrived there was a man with two kids and I stopped to read the park rule sign and they left. I think it could have been him who caused the bad smell.

Excellent park for a variety of activities. Watched a soccer game on the turf field and played some basketball on the courts behind the field. Both are in excellent shape. Not a lot of shade so it can get very hot really quick.

Planning a graduation party here in July..Nice Park, paid $55 deposit for to reserve a shelter, didn’t know it was here and lived in Durham, really right down the road from my house. Large covered picnic areas, playground with swings, public restrooms, championship-sized turf soccer field, trails along lake, geese and ducks, BBQ’s, nestled in between to lakes with gorgeous views of the water, all wheelchair accessible. Perfect outside area for get togethers, parties, play dates, reunions or a weekend walk. Told you don’t actually swim in the lake??? Not sure why and party is in June, we’ll see if anyone gets in the water. Will update review after party!

This is one of my favorite parks in Durham. It has everything in a small area. It has both big and little kid play areas, 2 bucket swings, 4 regular swings, and 3 bouncey toys. It’s pretty shaded and has a wall around it that can be used as seating. It also has a shelter and restrooms within walking distance. There are lakes nearby and a trail. There’s also a soccer field and basketball courts. It is a gravel road though so don’t go if you don’t want your car getting a little dusty.

My daughters soccer game was played here. We were the away team. The field was nice but the home team had the audacity to tell us we all had to pay 5 dollars each to watch our kids play. At a public park no less. Which of course we refused. What a joke. Come on city

Great park with a large kids play structure and swings. There is a shaded picnic area with numerous benches near one another. We saw people fishing in the lakes as we drove in, and there are athletic fields at the back of the park, as well. It has shade in the afternoon for supervising adults. My kids especially loved the zip line part of the play structure, the roller wheel slide, and the little climbing wall.

My 2 year old granddaughter birthday party was held there and it was enjoyable. We had everything included in our reservation at the park. Huge picnic shelter, awesome playground for the kids and nearby restrooms. We are extremely satisfied with the parks accommodations. I still need a house for events like this. Lol. Its worth the money, for a large shelter is $105 if you are a city resident. Happy happy happy.

Nice park for the neighborhood. 2 lake (twins) and if you keep driving for the back to find a soccer field on the left. If you can catch the field empty its good for running, nice and even up there. They were in the middle of remodeling the part last time I visited. Not sure what it looks like now but Im sure its better.

The city needs to fix up the play ground, like adding the rubber play mat. If they can do it to Forest Hills park they can do it here too.

Small playground is great for young ones. The lakes are nice to fish or boat in. Sometimes there are ducks and geese to feed....If there is a big soccer game, then it gets Really crowded.

I rated this park five because all in all it is a really good park with a playground, nature trails, lakes with ducks and a soccer field, but the only problem is, sometimes the people...like sometimes you will catch grown ups their doing grown things that they shouldnt be doing when their is kids their... the last couple of times i was their, i guess someone was having a birthday party and they were carrying bottles of liquor and i could smell a strong heavy smell of marijuana smoke. They were loud and ghetto, cursing. It was several other kids out here playing that left because of it. Im only 12 & its bad i know the smell of marijuana only because everytime i go to this park i smell it, and my mom had to tell us to leave because she said they were smoking drugs. There needs to be more rangers or someone moneriting this place atleast twice a day...even if its just riding through the park and walk around for a secound. I have even came one time and there were condoms on the ground. So this is being used as a grown up park more then anything. I really wish it wasnt cause i love to go feed the ducks and play on the playground.
