Very cool fountain. It has a couple parts to it, that when its all working looks spectacular. The statue of James Scott sits in front looking over the fountain. The whole area is beautiful.

Very relaxing evening under the stars at Belle isle off the water just relaxing cooling out if you ever need some type of relaxation its the place to go to in the day or night sitting near the water and just relax take a lawn chair make me an umbrella for the shade if youre out in the daytime but its beautiful very soothing

I am very happy with the beauty of this Island. I loved sitting at Fountain and hearing soothing sound of water. This place if perfect for small fun trip with family and friends.

When your heart aches for a sense of nature and tranquility James Scott Memorial Fountain can be self soothing. I love this place and its shaded hideaways. Its gift shop has much to offer as well, with the best part being the plants you can buy at a reasonable price. I hope to visit it more throughout the year.

Its beautiful when it is on. Love the color-changing lights in the evening, but it is beautiful during the day as well. Much better since they keep it clean now.

Youre so lucky to have such beautiful landmarks right in our own City! I love walking dogs on Belle Isle because theres so much room to roam but also for the great picture opportunities!

My buff & I took our lil grandbabies to the isle. Setting it up for the GRAN PRIX & enjoyed the aquarium & had lunch & played in the fountain

I am so disappointed with Belle Isle, I brought my son to play on this glorious day and was heartbroken and pi$$d off how it looked. There was trash EVERYWHERE!! How dare the STATE allow this to happen.

As soon as you arrive....peace calm and tranquility

It was smokin’ hot out but a trip this was still worthwhile. Most of the isle’s attractions were closed since we were visiting of a Monday but the fountain was roaring and the mist being blown off was a delight. It’s the only American fountain I’ve seen that can hold a tee to any European fountains although the story behind it’s construction is a tad controversial.

Epic epic epic. Very old world, European, gorgeous marble fountain. I expect all the photos look the same but it is epic and beautiful. The story is also fun if you look it up. A nice walk from a skyline of Detroit photoshoot stop. Parking is free.

Beautiful fountain in Total white. Its better use sunglasses to admire it.

At one time when I saw this fountain it was run down and not working. The last time it was covered with scaffolding and plastic. I remember thinking I hope there going to fix it. Today I almost cried it turned out so beautiful, just like I remembered it as a kid.

This is the first thing when you go on the Belle Isle island. drive from the right entrance and this will be the first thing on your left.People usually go there for wedding photoshoot and stuff. This is a popular place for tourists as well. For Canadians pay $9 for the day pass and you are good to go.

Beautiful and pristine. Wonderful views of the city.Belle Isle is a great place for a family outing, now very well maintained since the state has taken it over. Beautiful place for a picnic, in the middle of the Detroit river, with great views of the city and Windsor. A real gem worth visiting!

Belle isle has really came a long way. The fountain is beautiful at night. I would highly recommend visiting, especially if you are not from the area. At night it is lit up beautifully. Definitely worth seeing.

I have not been to Belle Isle in over 8 years OMG the state has done a fabulous job cleaning up the place I went for the 2019 Head For the Cure 5K Run/Walk for Brain Cancer research. My Team and Family had a great time. My Wife and I plan on making many trips back with the grandkids. Here is our Team at the Fountain

Here resides some of the original Detriot Lions. Definitely worth a visit.

We visit this every time we come to Belle Isle. I have personally been coming here since I was a toddler..love it and so happy each time I see it.

Id like to thank the State for taking over this gem of a park that was being neglected by the City. Its nice taking visitors from out of town to the park now. Feel much safer and the park is much more beautiful now.

Ok. I fell on the side walk and hurt my self. Went to the dr. And sprayed and torned some ligament in my ankle. And scraped up my knee.

If you live in the Metro Detroit area you got to stop at Belle Isle very fun place for the family.

The fountain has been renovated, like many other areas of Belle Isle, and it certainly shows! I happened to stop by before the Grand Prix kicked off, and the walk was worth it. I struck up a conversation with a couple Detroit residents that have lived nearby for decades, and they said its never looked better.

Nice view and best place to watch sunset. So peaceful. We loved it, our one year kid enjoyed a lot. It’s so cool place. We can watch both Canada and USA from this place at a time. Love to go again. Must visit place in isle island.
