This is a very powerful piece of art that you must see in person. Don’t just drive by but walk up to it and spend some time there. Impressive just isn’t enough to describe it.

Took a picture of the famous Joe Lewis statue. I was driving by I wish I could’ve stopped and taken some details. Overall it’s everything I thought it would be! Breathtaking! It’s a true testament to Joe Lewis and to time as well! 5 star ️ landmark!! Looks just as it does on TV! Thanks for checking out the review!!

My kids loved this fist! One of our favorite stops every time we visit. We try to get creative with posing. Dodging traffic is the only risk you’ll take to visit Joe’s solid knockout!

Seeing this massive statue of the late Joe Louis arm and fist is truly inspiring. Symbolizing the American spirit of strength in the light of adversity, we really could use of this unifying spirit in the current political climate. I dont understand how one reviewer can leave such a nasty racist comment about this iconic symbol in the heart of Detroit, but Joe Louis is more than an inspirational figure for African-American. He is an inspirational figure for ALL Americans.

It was a fun 2 day trip to go see detroit from Toronto area. We were able to see all the attractions and stuff in just a day. Now compare to other cities in US, Detroit is a little old and run down but they have nice places to visit like belle isle island, Art galleries and nice eateries. But this place was under construction when we went if you go on the other side of the monument to Joe Louis then you can click pictures however no date on construction to be finished.

Beautiful statue, I first saw it from the road I took to get to my hotel. I knew that while I was in Detroit I would have to see this statue up close. The gold accents, green copper, and the white building behind, created a stunning effect that could leave sensitive tourists out of breath or shred a tear of joy.

As a fan of the videogame Detroit: Become Human (yes, I visited the monument purely because of the game, I am obsessed), it was amazing to see the monument in real life! Its located at a nice spot inbetween two roads, so you can go up next to it or walk back further and not have to worry about any cars.
