Just wow. This place is beautiful. We had our wedding here on March 7, 2020 and even though I planned every part of it, I could never have imagined how stunning the venue would look. It was *exactly* what I wanted. The history, the beautiful character of the building, the lights, the mood...all amazing. We worker with Jeff leading up to and on the day, I cant say enough good things about Jeff. He worked hard for us, answered my many questions, was responsive and there when I needed him. Jeffs personality worked well with mine, as hes much more calm than I am. It was easy to work with him and feel like it was all going to work out. I honestly cannot imagine my wedding anywhere else and if I ever had to plan one again (God please no), I would want it to be at the Piquette Plant with Jeff. Our guests LOVED the Piquette Plant, we heard several times that it was the most unique, beautiful venue they had ever visited. We ended up loving this place so much we visited many more times than necessary before the wedding just to take it all in. You will absolutely not regret having your wedding (or any event) here, it will be more beautiful than you can ever imagine.
Jerry was a fabulous, patient, knowledgeable, funny, and engaging tour guide. He was very enthusiastic the whole time, going over minute details of the cars at times. The building itself was a treat with its wood floors, beams, fire doors, and old charm. Having all of these cars in one building, in my opinion, gets you the most bang for your buck considering other museums. The entire staff was friendly. Overall this is a must see in Detroit.
Awesome little gem of a museum if you are interested in cars, specifically showcasing early 1900s - 1920s. Lots of cars from the Lost car companies of detroit past. Went on a weekday, social distancing was easy and safe and sanitizer was provided.
This is an absolute gem, surprisingly close to midtown Detroit. It is wonderful to get to see the building where the Model T was developed, and where the first 12,000 were built. The museum is a nonprofit institution, and it was pretty clear that the 2 guides present for our visit were there due in part to a long affiliation with the auto business. Seeing the original offices, a re-creation of the development room, and a stunning variety of all early Ford vehicles makes for a wonderful introduction to this part of Detroits history, and is a nice way to support the continued existence of this building. The tour, blessedly, took longer than we thought it would, as our guide had lots of wonderful information to share with us.
Jerry was our tour guide and he’s extremely knowledgeable and fun. I had a great experience learning all the history of Henry Ford. Great small gem in Detroit !
Great place! Hopefully next year our daughters wedding will be able to take place. We had to reschedule it and Jeff was extremely helpful
Im not into cars but this was really interesting and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and excited about what he was talking about. Would definitely recommend visiting!
Nice place to appreciate the history of Henry Ford and the Model T. Our tour guide was fabulous. Staff was very friendly . He provided us so much information about the Model T and how Mr. Ford made it the most affordable car available to the common person. It was revolutionary in how it changed society. They had many vintage Model Ts and one which you could actually sit in and touch.
Jerry was my tour guide today and he was so knowledgeable and took all of my questions. I would highly recommend a visit to this museum.
Incredible place! The amount of history that is in that building is incredible. You certainly dont have to be a car enthusiast to be able to appreciate all that is within. Had the opportunity to see it as just the museum as well as set up for a wedding. Incredible place for a wedding. The staff was great.
Wonderful tour of the museum. Jason, our tour guide, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic which made the tour great. Highly recommend this museum.
The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant offers a thorough education on the history of mass production cars and commerical vehicles. The various Model Ts are impressive but so are all of their predecessors and contemporary competitors from the era. The descriptions were excellent.
Must go place for Automotive enthusiast ..!!Its, Crown of Motor City, History of Detroit- Ford & Model T.The tour guide gave good amount of information & HistoryMultiple Model T & its evolution to Ford GT can be seen in one roof. This is classic old space - Most of Things are in good shape or rebuild & also cars from other manufacture are also here available for display.Had chance to sit inside in Model T Thats awesome feelingI feel myself lucky to See the things Where it all started ..!!#FordForver ...!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this National Historic site of Henry Ford, the people, the cars, the suppliers, the investors, the pioneers, the way they lived, what it meant to the country on wheels. We got to ride in a Model A and view so many actual cars. There were 2 movies and a lunch wagon. We got in for free as a special announced tour, from our neighbor.Usually costs $10. Highly recommend.
One of the best places I have ever visited! It’s a must see. Can’t wait to go back again some day.
Its an awesome historical landmark. The birth place of the model t. Very knowledgeable docents and an awesome selection of original Ford cars.
Attended a wedding reception here. I must preface with the fact that I love museums and historical locations. This was a beautiful venue and you even have the opportunity to take photos in an old car. During your attendance at the reception.Only downside is that the second level does not have A/C however, given the nature of the age of the building it is expected. The 3rd level where the dining and dancing was held was air conditioned and allowed to cool off after the second level warmth.
Beautifully restored! LOT of history here. If you smell the air while you walk around looking at all the automobiles of days past, its almost like youre there in the heyday of the plant. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area who can appreciate history. Will definitely be back for a guided tour
I work with the volunteers on Mondays, its a beautiful building, with a lots of history. Its worth a visit.
Awesome place to visit.
Some close friends of mine had their wedding reception here, it was cool as hell!
Cool place for rustic photo shoots, which is whi I was there on a recent corporate assignment. Taking one back to a better time in Detroits industrial past. This location would be an exceptional location for a company looking for mixed use industrial/office complex. The facilities need extensive work as they have sat mostly empty for a long time but the walls and structure of the building appears to be solid. As with any mid-century factory setting natural light inside the facility is incredible! This building is truly a diamond in the rough, but expect and budget for renovations.
Incredible piece of Detroit history! Amazing building with beautiful antique cars, truly a must see for any Ford enthusiast or any history enthusiast for that matter! The gift shop had unique items with reasonable pricing.
Quite a remarkable building and collection of cars. The recreation of Henry Fords office was really interesting and well done. Its not too far from downtown and is pretty close to Woodward Avenue. Highly recommended if youre interested in automotive history.
A must stop for car and Ford lovers. Awesome tour with great insights of Fords history. Did you know? Henry Ford designed the first Cadillac!
Very neat place to visit if you have any interest in history, cars, Ford, or the Detroit area. A complete collection of Fords early cars, with free tours from knowledgeable guides. I thank Jerry P for adapting the tour to my limited time constraint! I will definitely try to go back when I have more time. Admission is a well-worth-it $12 for adults.
Great musem in oryginal Ford plant location with lots of oryginal old cars. A must see in Detroit. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Had a great experience at the facility. Go here to see some amazing early cars and have a great time learning about them to this nonprofit organization.
GO! Go now! Plan a trip around it!If you are a Ford fan in any sense, and especially of the Model T or interested in Henry, just go!The people here are amazing, Tom and Jerry the guides, were extremely knowledgeable. They shared and answered so many questions. The building is in great shape because of the organizations efforts and I applaud them for everything that they have done and are doing.I will be visiting again in another couple years to see what kind of progress they have made on the building.
Really nice museum that shows the auto industry assembly start. The building is really old but they are maintaining as much as they can when they need to restore parts of the building.
Our docent Tom made this such a great tour. He was so informative and the love he has for the museum makes the tour even better.
Went to a family wedding here! Was literally spectacular! The building, food, staff, a perfect 10!
Great automotive history site.
Very interesting place and great tour guide who offered to give us a condensed tour since we arrived later in the afternoon near closing time. If you go, get the full tour! We wish we could have spent more time there as there is so much to see - husband and 18yo daughter and I all enjoyed it.
The guided tour was pretty good. Lots of history with facts.
Way better than I expected. Detroit best kept secret. Make sure you take the included guided tour.
Original Henry Ford factory with all car models preserved in a perfect condition plus Henrys secret lab where he developed Model T
Its in the National Registry of Historic places. Many rare and historically important cars are housed there. The building still needs much more renovation, but one can feel the pride and joy in being part of this experience through the eyes of the guides.
This place is a must-see! Great museum, knowledgeable people to guide you through, great venue for parties!
Excellent display of early Fords in the factory where the Model T was conceived. Great staff an docent Tom. Wonderful deconstruction of one of the Ford cars to illustrate assembly process. Great parking. Really cool to stand where production actually happened. Great 15 min film informing museum patrons of Ford history. One may rent the museum for receptions, etcetera. Mega thanks to numerous people who have donated time, cars, and money to this museum and preserving such a large piece of our history.
Had an amazing two hour tour given by Jerry this morning. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the building and the cars within. Learned so much about the early days of car manufacturing in the states. Be mindful that it is warm in the building even with the portable type of air conditioning. Great to see they use the space for weddings as well as an extra source of revenue.
Beautiful restoration and the old cars look great. In addition, great tour guide really knowledge and funny as well. I recommend everyone take a tour here if you are visiting Detroit the first time or a long time resident too.
I have been a member for the last two years and I have visited this place almost once every 6 months. This place is unique every single time that I have been there, exhibits change and it is a delight to interact with the people there and get to learn about the automotive history. This place is a must see for locals and visitors alike.
The Ford Piquette Plant is a wonderful museum housed in the original warehouse that Henry Ford first produced automobiles. The guided tour was excellent.
Very informative about the early history of Detroit and obviously the model T and all its predecessors.
Our tour guide was fantastic! It was great to learn about Detroits Auto history. They also happened to be setting up for a wedding while we were there so it was great to see the multiple uses for the venue.
Cool museum build inside a historic Ford Model T factory. Great for wedding and private parties.
Very interesting museum. Everyone is extremely welcoming, nice and full of information.
More than I expected. For $12 you get a tour that was very detailed, lead by a knowledgeable man, and took just over 1 1/2 hours. Then after that you are able to look around on your own. I thought it was worth it.
Great visit for model T birthday celebration. We joined up! Will be back soon
This was the first Ford plant before the assembly line! Fun tour for a car enthusiast or history buff. Part of tour is guided and then you can hang around and take pictures.
Beautiful cars! Recommend the guided tour!
This was a great tour. The tour was about an hour and a half. Very informative and a great collection saved by real enthusiasts. Highly recommend you stop and take the tour here!
I love visiting here. The old cars are beautiful. It’s nice to see the recreation of Henry Ford’s office and workstation. This is a historical gem!
This place is really a hidden gem of Detroit. You must visit this plant if you are a motor lover and you are looking for some interesting car history.
Great history and cars. Worth the time and a few bucks
So cool! Several floors of gorgeous cars from Fords start to present day. Fantastic information and the volunteers made the experience well beyond fantastic. Can easily spend 3 hours here just geeking out.
The best museum Ive been to in a long time and Tom is a amazing tour guide
Very cool place for a wedding reception. Was able to see many of the historical cars and learn about Henry Ford.

Definitely worth a visit if youre interested in the early development of Ford automobiles.
Was disappointed that the signed on the door said come in we are open and the door is locked.
The history of this place is amazing, it was saved from the wrecking ball, and brought back to life. The cars in here (examples of every Letter car Henry Ford ever made are here. The age of the building, and how it was made, bring a unique ambiance as you tour the building. Its a two hour tour, and definitely worth it, even free parking.
A memorable experience that will last a lifetime!!
A really neat place to go. Nice bit of Detroit and Ford history. Saw an E-M-F automobile while there wich was really cool because I am related to Byron Everitt one of the founders of E-M-F Company.
We had our wedding at the Piquette Plant on May 4. It was absolutely incredible. Jeff the event manager was 100% accommodating and helpful with all of my questions from day 1. Their list of approved vendors was a great guide for me to book and plan everything. I have never heard more compliments in my life about a wedding venue. Completely unique and absolutely stunning. I can not wait to see the pictures and video from our day.
A hidden gem on where the birth of the modern automobile started. Many more vehicles than I anticipated. Easy parking. Well worth a visit for the auto buff, and general enthusiast.
I have taken the tour twice each with a different group of friends. How fortunate we are to have this gem restored and available to us. The guides are extremely knowledgeable.
Much more than I expected! Learned so many fun facts from our tour guide Jack. Highly recommend a visit and plan for a couple hours if you want a tour guide. The museum had original models from Ford model A to model T.
The tour was so good and interesting, we did it twice! The history of Ford is here. This is where it began. Five stars is not enough.
Great piece of Detroit history!
Just there for a Wedding..Wonderful and fun Venue..Love the tour of the museum. and all those magnificent cars

Great experience. Amazing collection of model Ts. The tour is very informative. Was pleasantly surprised with the museum.
Attended the Model T Celebration with my children here. Great atmosphere and so much to do! A free event with rides around the block on a real Model T, a kids zone, free museum entry and fun activities for the kids. Loved it.
Fords second factory that originally produced the Model T and created the assembly process. Houses early model Fords spring the quick progression. Eventually outgrown for the Highland Park factory that contained the first assembly line. Very cool piece of automotive history.
Henrys very first production model didnt have a name so he used the alphabet. The first one was an A in 1904. Great Motown history.
The antique cars. The history
We had a wonderful Tour thrugh Ford Motor Companys first production facility
This is a must see when visiting Detroit. The Ford Model T Club has purchased the building and uses it to store and show their cars. The automobiles are a wonder to behold with some having special kits added. WOW!!!
Very interesting museum
Awesome piece of history.
What a beautiful piece of history this is. Visited this place twice, once for a wedding and the other for a tour, both were amazing. Its like going back in time and being a part of the golden age of the Motor City.
Cool little place with lots of pre-war vehicles. Very friendly staff and nice gift shop.
Third floor is a bit cold but other then that its a great place to go an learn the ford history.
Very wonderful volunteers and very informative
Great place for any car buff. Full of history. Terrific tour guide.
Walking the floors of this Ford manufacturing plant and offices made me feel more a part of the auto history than I have felt in any other location in the city. In addition, there is a beautiful car collection on site. And I found the docents both enthusiastic and knowledgeable, so it was an excellent visit to a Detroit classic.
