Awesome place to come no matter what your age is! The kids love playing on the pirate ship scenery. Theres a great view of the water. Everything is well kept and clean. Theres security to make sure that the place is safe. There are clean restrooms to use. It looked like there was also a building you could go order food in too. We will definitely be back! Area is fine for hanging out especially when you have kids as there is a public fountain-like and swimming play area so kids can wear bathing suit and play around. There are some shades and plenty of benches. Husband and I tried to fish but got snagged several times but there were evidence of big fishes. Parking is a bit of a challenge but we found a spot on the side street. Enter through Mt. Elliott street and take your chance going there. It would be a walk going to the park. Free street parking.

Beautiful, quaint park with free parking, the view and ample table, bench and lawn seating. If you want to have the riverfront view amid the backdrop of the city without the traffic and parking garages, check it out. The restrooms are impressively clean and sanitized. I was there yesterday.

A fun splash park, right on the river. The park is clean and well-kept. There is a snack bar and also restrooms. Nice views of the river, Belle Isle, and Belle Isle bridge.

This park is a beautiful space downtown to sit and view the river. It has a place for kids to play (looks like a ship) and a food court. I think because it was later in the evening the food court was closed..Or, of course there is the pandemic. Either way, its well maintained and social distancing/ masking encouragement signs were present which is always a plus.

This park is beautiful, clean, the atmosphere was awesome. My hubby and I went today for a marriage picnic and we had a great time.we will be back to relax and enjoy!

Such a nice little respite in the middle of the Detroit River walk. Great for kids as it has a giant sand pit for them to play. Restrooms available and a concession stand for snacks and drinks.

A really fun splash pad for the kids! Its accessible to all, and its free. Theres a café and a large pavilion that throws a lot of shade. There is a parking lot for the splash pad at the end of Mt Elliott, and theres also free on street parking on the side streets.

Great place to breath and meditate. Take in the city at the water front level.

Cafe opens after noon. Cash only. The splash pad was fully functional and the water was refreshing. The cleaning crew was out cleaning tables and bathrooms throughout the day. Very clean bathrooms. Drinking fountain available. Jets Pizza delivered to us.

This place is well kept and right on the river. Volley ball and playground and a Pavillion with picnic tables. Very nice.

Enjoyed the peace and tranquility, went and walked and sat down and enjoyed the beautiful water, I will be returning with my Lil Yorkie, only complaint, lots & lots of dog poo, it seems as though nobody picks up their dog poo, which makes walking more of a obstacle course, but even with all the dog poo, I enjoyed the Park.

Nice place to chill! Its an simple water park. Water spouts out the ground really for little kids they will enjoy it more. Bathrooms are there. No alchohol is allowed on premises. The Riverwalk starts there as well. You can rent the bikes and scooters as well.

Great place for kids. Was only there for a few but I look forward to going back. We even saw this sea turtle relaxing on the rocks. My only concern is that there is no type of gate around the water where the kids area is. So parents if you have little ones that like to wander, keep an eye on them.

Awesome splash pad right along the river front. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire facility. The bathrooms were even nice. The splash pad was a fun activity tonfo for about 2 hours. They have a nice shaded area to sit and relax and eat. They have a small concession stand. There is also a security guard monitoring the activity in the splash pad to ensure no rough play.

One of the best investments made into the city. I love bringing my kids here, so laid back for water fun! A hands off experience for the parents while giving an interactive experience and lots of water for the kids.

Great ! Family oriented... I loved seeing the kids play on the splash pad. I love the marina! I loved seeing people that were friendly. I loved seeing the bike riders at night... just simply nice! Oh but the bugs/ mosquitoes lol

Mt. Elliot Park is a gem! We love its small size, fun water splash play area, and beautiful view of the Detroit River, Belle Isle, Detroit River front, and Canada. Its well-maintained, and its restrooms are spotless. This is our new go-to for a fun-filled family outing!

Such a lovely park on the Riverwalk. We went to the splash park and had tons of fun. Beautiful scenery of the river, Canada and Belle Isle. The only problem I had was there were a lot of bicyclist who rode through the splash park. Which seemed kinda dangerous

Beautiful green grass and the splash park is the main attraction. Children get to play at a safe place and have fun with their families. All ages really can enjoy it.

Nice place for a early morning walk. The Coast Guard is next door so if you get there early enough you can hear the early morning bugle call. Love it

This park is an absolute gem for families in Detroit. I stumbled upon it when looking for a venue to have my sons September bday. Although they are tight on the rules of decor I respect that because you cant have nice things if anything goes. The splash pad is fun for all and free, as well as parking. Theres always security on the grounds. Ive never seen the concessions open though.

Great place to bring the kids on a hot day. Its free, the water features are super fun, and its never really crowded. Parking is free also. And the view of Belle Isle and the river is fantastic.

A hidden waterfront gem in Detroit. Park in the lot across from the coast guard station. If you park on the street, stay 20 feet from the crosswalks or get a parking ticket. Splash park and food bar open in summer only. You can walk the riverwalk from here. There is some fishing or just watch the freighters go by on the river.
