This would be the first place I would recommend anyone from out-of-town visit. Reminiscent of New York City’s High Line. Probably the best attraction in the city.

The Cut, as well as all the Riverfront bike network, is a jewel: Well maintained, safe, beautiful landscaping & art. Theres lots activity. It brings people together.

Cool bike and walking path park in Detroit. Lots of murals and if you go towards the river you can make it all the way to the water. There is a bar right off the trail made out of shipping containers. Has lots of lights and there are safety beacons to call for help every few hundred feet.

Really fun place to bike, run, or skate. The old freeway entrances are killer hills, so I like to get on at the Mack end and go to the river and back. Gets crowded on the weekends, makes a good shortcut to Eastern Market

Very beautiful urban park. Highlighted w art n murals throughout the walk....very peaceful quiet n clean. Nothing like it in Detroit. DEFINITE GEM!!!

This trail is beautiful. The street art is amazing. The trail is clean and has plenty of cool things to see and do. Definitely recommend this spot to everyone!

What is there to say? This place is a must visit. Be careful- the last time I routed myself there on Google Maps, it took me to the middle of the Cut where there is no access. Oops! The two main entrances are right by the water, and right by Eastern Market.

Pretty cool what transformation this place has made. Seems safe and unique scenery! Only thing was finding a place to park and actually finding this place. But over all was cool.

The walking was beautiful the murals on the walls are great the foliage is beautiful the people pleasant no worries about cars or any motor vehicles plenty of benches to stop and break

Great place to walk, run, rollerblade, skateboard or bike! The path is really smooth. Benches along the way to stop for a break. We go with the family a few times a month, and we wish we did it more!

We loved this trail! It was safe from vehicles and had bike police and security. It was a great bike ride for the family!

I been going to the D Cut for a long time I love the route and everyone is so friendly, I ride my bike Rollerblade and walk thanks for having a beautiful place and scenery for us.

Easy walk or bike ride. I recommend starting at the beautiful Detroit riverfront. There is plenty of fantastic art along the way. Perfect for photography. The Freightyard is open on the weekends and serves drinks and has live music. Its a great place to hang out.

A wonderful example of urban redevelopment. Take a walk or bike ride through this former rail line for a unique and peaceful view of Detroit.

The Dequindre Cut is an amazing place for a run, walk, or bike ride. I love that it connects the Detroit Riverwalk with Eastern Market and Gratiot Avenue. There are murals by graffiti artists throughout the cut, and some interactive stations in the cut. They recently installed a shipping container space with picnic tables in the northern end of the Cut with tables . At the southern end of the Cut there’s a workout station. The best part of the Dequindre Cut is that it’s below grade, so it really feels like an oasis outside of the city. I’m excited for its expansion in the future and it’s connection to more amenities in the city. These photos were taken in Spring 2018 as a part of the Dequindre Cut cleanup event.

I had a very nice time Wednesday evening..really enjoyed the concert and vendors.

It was so enjoyable i rode my bike with a friend from Gratiot to the waterfront man it was great.and i felt so safe there.

Bike riding training with my nephew went well.... smooth semi smooth pavement, plenty of shade.

All I can say is this Gem is SIMPLY AMAZING!! From the Artwork, to the Fresh smell of trees, to the Birds cheering you on as you run or walk the Cut. One of the places that make Detroit Great!

Listen, if you are looking for a great space for out door uninterupted excercise in the city this is the spot. Also if you are going with kids it is a safe stretch for them to enjoy biking, running, skates and more. No need to worry about looking out for cars coming. There are also benches along the walk and if you are up for it picnic on the green. If you go with toddlers be sure to take what they need (maybe a wagon you can pull them in when they get tired). All around great spot!

Still a great walking a biking path for anyone to use. Plenty of places w/shade to stop and take in the views. I would recommend bringing sunscreen, extra water bottles, hats and shades if direct sun bothers you, plus whatever youd need to enjoy a walk/bike ride.It also leads out to the Detroit Riverwalk and the restaurants down there, which is a nice feel with the cool breeze on a hot afternoon. Very enjoyable!There are porta potties on the Dequindre Cut, but use those at your own risk... Covid-19 still exists as of 7/12/20. Restaurants and the Cobo center might be willing to let you in if you need it, assuming theyre open. Wear a mask and be careful!

I love doing a brisk walk in this area because it is clean, has wonderful artistic graffiti, and leads to the Detroit River.

Such a cool path lined with art and interesting things to look at. Plenty of seats along the way to take a break. Separate bike lanes to help keep everyone safer. Plenty of cameras and emergency posts should one ever be needed.

Calm Serene I walk here 2-3times weekly, sometimes for exercise. Sometimes, just to clear my head. The views of the Downtown Detroit Skyline are magnificent. Biking, Skating, Strolling, jogging or just a walk. I highly recommend The Cut

This place is clean and safe perfect for the entire family. You can take a walk ride your bike rent a Scooter walk your dog. Its a great place to get out of the house and enjoy Detroit and yes I did say clean and safe.

It was nice and peaceful. There is a nice amount of street art to look at. The trail is very long and there are places to sit and do yoga if you want. Great place for jogging, skating, biking, skateboarding and running. Very clean also.

This is Detroits best kept well known secret. The investment is notable and appreciated! Its a long haul from end to end but with multiple entrances you can feel free to enjoy as much or as little of it as youd like. Throughout there are many walls covered in graffiti styled art...its art. Long strolls with a lover, or quick hikes with the family, its all nice. Plenty of places to sit and rest if needed!
