The riverfront in Detroit is a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors. Even in August the walkway wasnt that busy so my girlfriend and I were able to enjoy a peaceful walk right along the river. There are a number of places that you can sit down and relax along the way. The scenery is beautiful and the views of Windsor are amazing!Would love to return with a bicycle and further explore the Detroit Riverfront. Definitely recommend visiting if youre looking for something to do in Detroit during your trip.

I absolutely love it. Everyone whether living in Detroit or just visiting should see this place. The last time that I was here there was a bike rental shop and there was a carousel. Its right behind Hart Plaza so when there were festivities going on there, I was able to enjoy both the festivities and the riverfront. It is absolutely beautiful. Theyve probably added to it since the last time that I was there. Oh, and every year they have a carnival/art fair/ concert festivity that happens here.

This has to be one of the highlights of going downtown. All the improvements have made this a must see. I have walked and biked the whole length. Plenty of people come down here. There is a lot to see and beautiful views. I would love to take my kayak and paddle the length of the riverfront, but I doubt it would be safe when you consider the current. Theres good amount of parking nearby. I bet the sunrise would be awesome to see from here.

Yes, Im not a local so I wont be up to speed on the myriad problems that plague the city of Detroit. But I live in Los Angeles, a city that will crumble under the weight of its unsustainable policies in the next two decades, and all you hear about LA is wonderful things. So I think I can say that the Riverfront in Detroit was bomb.

We went on the first day of the river days . the weather was absolutely perfect . The parking sucked and they had absolutely no parking for handicapped . I actually thought that that was illegal . There was plenty of empty room on Jefferson further east but we were told that the cars were being tagged and towed. There should have been handicap parking very close either in with the volunteers were parked or on the street . I was on a cane and my friend actually had to put a scooter together to get there. Absolutely not user-friendly and not everybody could enjoy it . The riverfront is beautiful ! But very difficult to get there in the grounds were very wet so it was very difficult to maneuver why we were there . The food was delicious ! Great idea for the park .

Paid over $300 for one night in a room about the size of a closet. Asked during check in if we could keep our vehicle parked there the next day while we went to the auto show. Was told no problem. Next day comes around and we were told we couldnt leave it there. Blankets on the beds felt more like rough curtains than soft blankets. Only really nice thing I can say about the stay was that the entire place was very clean, had a great view from the room, and there was a lot to do close by.

The Conservancys vision early on, to rebuild and preserve the Detroit river front land for public access is a gift like none other to the people in southeastern Michigan and visitors. They are continuing to expand and renovate while keeping the area clean and accessible to all.

They did an awesome job on this project. It is a great place for a stroll or a bike ride or to sit and people watch by the water. The carousel, volleyball sand pit, fountains, murals and informational displays are great plus you can hop a boat to tour the river. Take an afternoon and check it out!

Our family spent a wonderful hot day at the Riverwalk. The breeze was cool, the sun was shining, ice cream and slushies were refreshingly cold. The little one played in the fountain jets until cold and had a great time. A must for future family outings.
