This is a nice park conveniently located in downtown Detroit. I came here after I got off a bus, and was satisfied with my experience. I left the bus stop and walked around the western portion of the park, which was green and shady. After that, I crossed Woodward Ave to walk around the eastern portion of the park, which always also quite nice. In addition to being green and shady, (when I say shady I mean the park has lots of shade from trees, not that the park is sketchy) it also has a really nice statue which looks great. I passed the statue and walked to a part of the park where there was a long row bench shaped like a circle. The bench encircled a small circle of pavement, which I walked through. I walked through the entire western portion of the park and left. I gave this park five stars because it’s conveniently located in downtown Detroit and it has lots of shade and greenery.
Cute little dog park. Not at all busy on a Saturday morning. Well maintained. My lil guy had a great time. Plenty of metered parking nearby, though Im sure that evaporates when the Tigers are playing.
It was very nice to see the fountain back working! The flowers that were planted was very colorful and well thought out it was inviting and comfortable to sit or take a stroll threw the park. Detroit is coming together in a positive way.
Nice place to get out and enjoy your self. Had a really good time. Cant wait to see what they build around it.
This is not some place to just go hang out. Although I must say its a lot better than what it used to be. If you are truly a native detroiter you know exactly what Im talking about.
Im looking at the new housing they are building. I hope to be able to lived there. Perhaps?
This can be a wonderful place to visit. However because of the many walks of life makes this an understanding comfortable place to be and unsafe. Even with all the cameras in the area. You will be approach by someone for no reason wanting to cause trouble. So my family and friends and I will stay away from this area!!! No police present to protect you...
ALRIGHT I LIKED IT ALOT.
Awesome light show going on right now
So.much fun even through the cold
Amazon delivery. My cousin worked for Amazon not door dash my apologies.
Still beautiful an the improvments make it even better love downtown
Nice place to stop, have a great time
Nice and clean. Cool to ride scooters around.
I gave it three stars because I didnt get to actually chill... But overall its a nice area!....
I tried to indicate location by Original Namesake, not just Detroit, yet The MotorCity, Original home of Motown, Despite, negative Output of the City, across the waters of Canada,(Windsor, Ontario), as of Grand Circus Park, I recall attending movies at the Grand Circus Theatre, during the 1970s across from Ole Theatres Adams, Madisons, Palms,(now; Filmore), Fox, Burlesk Roxy, & Colonial(24hrs).down Woodward.....a long drawn out story of just the Grand Circus Park, yet photos of Then & Now.......would be more than just Memories or a Story....*!️
No chairs or tables any more but the fountain was nice.
I went for an evening outdoor yoga class. The park was clean and the class was invigorating!
Nice and clean and the pups loved it.
Good place to walk around and enjoy the Detroit city views. Occasionally events or things happen at the park but nothing like other parks around the Detroit area. Its a nice park but does require quite some work, which seems to be in progress. Much potential within this park, but perhaps in the future.
Grate place awsome services and delicious food
The Filmore theater is a beautiful place. The after glow party was great and they even had vegan sliders black bean were excellent
Was there to celebrate with Detroit Youth Choir. Welcoming them home from an amazing run from Americas Got Talent! Dont really care for the sand.
A wonderful place to take a break from walking. The area has straw like couches and chairs for you to sit on along with a table. The area is beautiful.
Clean & very nice.
Very nice and clean environment
Slightly dirty and looked kind of abandoned. Fountain wasnt even on
Nice atmosphere along Woodward
No train due to covid
Grand Circus Park is an interesting place to visit. There are plenty of benches. It is located in a very busy location. It is a true circus as there is circular driving all around the park. The crossings to the other streets are short and well identified. Some of the cars enter the circus a little too fast. Either they arent used to the small street motion or they are being careless. The park has been neglected for a long time. It is great to see it being put back into use.Im just meme-ing yall... ive never been to this place. (ᵔᴥᵔ) (ᵔᴥᵔ) (ᵔᴥᵔ)
I love the design of this park, especially in the Winter time when they have the lights and everything. Its really a constant work in progress and they keep adding to the beauty. Last year they included this truly beautiful Detroit Sign which I feel needs to be a permanent addition and could arguably become as iconic as the Love sign in Philadelphia if they work hard on it. In the parks they have also been trying out these pop-up shops in these glass structures which too add to its beauty. Its peaceful and what an urban park should be like. Its important to know it is right above a parking structure underground. It is the perfect Welcome to Downtown gateway. Its also good to know that the Qline light rail has a stop on each side of the park. A must see when visiting Detroit!
Grand. Great for walking your dog or for special events. So much cleaner than it used to be. It used to be a bum hotel every night. Nowadays there are flowers and fountains and Fido. I like the statues and fountains the best though. It is also a very practical park with a parking garage underneath it.
Its a park....in the middle of Detroit. Decent place, not real big not much to see. Just a nice place to rest your feet.
Walked by on my way to Ford Field. Nice park but on the small side. Been thru many times.
Nice location near the stadiums, with easy access to them good food
My kind of place of lots of fun and joy. Clean environment and lots of Detroit Police presence
Very nostalgic site for me; former home of the Grand Circus theater, now the Detroit Opera House. In 1983 I saw Depeche Mode there with an unknown warm up act called U2.
Dog park, places to chill in the shade, grass, flowers and fountains! Wonderful place but its pretty white washed at this point - says the white lady...
It was a very nice experience
Look very nice at this time of year whit the snow an cold people walking around doing what they do.
Nice place but rediculous rules as executed by security staff. They dont mind homeless hanging around but cannot tolerate genuene visitors.
Its downtown nightlife
Park in the center of Detroit, beautiful views, plenty of seating very clean overall..... Why one star you ask!Someone was shot here this summer ..With the gunman still on the loose and yet to be identified!Let that sink in ..Someone was able to get into a fight here, walk away, get a gun, come back, shoot someone, walk away and never be apprehended
A very calming and welcoming place in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the busy Motor city
The scenery is nice to look at during the warmer seasons
The sister strut cancer walk was held there and we had a wonderful time
I tried the queline its nice
Close to perfection
Grand Circus Park is an interesting place to visit. There are plenty of benches. It is located in a very busy location. It is a true circus as there is circular driving all around the park. The crossings to the other streets are short and well identified. Some of the cars enter the circus a little too fast. Either they arent used to the small street motion or they are being careless. The park has been neglected for a long time. It is great to see it being put back into use.Its a great place to stop for lunch. Whether you are having takeout or a brown bag lunch. The last time I stopped there they had some example patio furniture around. The pieces looked like something youd have in your living room, so, I thought it a bit much but its a durn sight better than having the place empty. There is some underground parking there but Im not sure how it works or if it is still in service. The Opera House is nearby and some great apartment buildings. I am so glad they are being fixed up. Most of them are still empty as people move back around the park I expect to see more people there. Come on by when youre downtown. Its got a great fountain, a giant statue and an obelisk!
Its revamped but the drunks still congregate there.
A place we all love for great shops
I love this beautiful park right in the heart of downtown. It is surrounded by great establishments like the Detroit Opera House, ALoft and The Royce as well as Comerica Park and the soon to be opened newest Buddys Pizza location. The park spans both sides of Woodward with a fountain on one side and a court area and dog park on the other. There are also DDOT, SMART, Qline and people mover stops on Woodward in Grand Circus Park.
Nice park to watch the Thanksgiving day parade
Absolutely love this area! Its so beautiful.
One of my most favorite of the downtown parks. A great place for a moment of zen on lunch.
Clean. Very clean and manicured landscaping.
Nice park to sit down and eat lunch.
I just like the scenery down there
Love this place. Its so peaceful
Plenty of restaurants, has summer Thurs evening free concerts. Dog park, Q-line, bus stops & mogo available here. Short walk to Beacon park, Capital park & greek town. Near Ford field & Comerica park
Downtown Detroit Grand Circus Park, a great place to visit with friends and family, the environment is clean, safe, and there are many shopping areas, good food as well as entertainment.
The flower and parks have gotten better..just need to keep Qline cleaner
You can see just about everything going on. From in progress building, to a pet park and so much more. Downtown is POPING!
Its great to walk here at lunch and listen to the waterfall.
They are keeping it cleaned up & hosting nice activities here now.
