I love coming to this venue. Staff are so polite and accommodating. Got an instant VIP upgrade. Free would have been nice but I had to pay. Still a decent price. Our server Tatiana was awesome, as well. Cant say enough about her. All staff that I passed on the way out said thanks for coming and to have a great night. They should be commended for that. You just dont get that anymore. Thanks for everything.
One of my favorite venues in town. Its in a nice area right near Comerica and the Fox. Its got plenty of parking and the venue itself is beautiful inside. Ive sat way up top but the main floor is the best place to be here. Tons of spots for drinks/food. Make sure you take a look up before your show starts and take in all the amazing details. The sound is top notch and the staff have never been anything short of amazing!
Amazing Theatre, Victorian decor. Comfortable seats and nice bar/food. The staff was friendly. The building is old and it shows little bit.Plenty of parking nearby, all paid- parking garage, street parking.Went there for the 90s music concert. They started really late, 2 hours. But they were good. The sound/acoustics was decent but not all that great.Entrance is off of Woodward and the line gets really long but moves super quick as the have several security check lines. They have multiple drink/bar also some snack bar both in main level and mezzanine. The restrooms are in the basement though. The box chairs were little less comfortable compared to the general admission chairs. Funny.I would like to go when the construction is done and for a better show.
This place is one of the best of smile making awesomeness! I always enjoy a good show with great people here. The staff here is always accommodating, polite, cheerful amd fun. Not a bad view in the venue. They seemingly get the best artist you wanna hear and see with reasonable venues ticket prices too. Come for the smiles and enjoy a foot stomping time with your friends and Family.
Wow! Fillmore is a beautiful place. I love this place. Had a great experience, went to see Avengers Endgame. Always enjoy going to the Fillmore. There are not bad seats in this place. Great show! Security was a breeze, be sensible only carry your wallet, phone, and keys. I would highly recommend it.
Saw Above & Beyond here in October 2019. My first ever EDM show. It was amazing and so was the venue! Its so beautiful inside. The parking doesnt look promising near this venue so I would recommend using Uber or another transport service if you can - especially if you have any physical challenges to deal with. I did see someone in a wheelchair and we all seemed to be having a great time. I just wouldnt advise trying to find parking. They have a coat check that is cash only, and expect to pay handsomely for alcoholic beverages. Once you enter, you cannot leave, but if you smoke they have a special area outside where you can enter and exit for a smoke break. As far as the venue is concerned the temperature was perfect - and I get cold all the time. The staff was awesome and offered quick service. Overall it was a great experience to visit this place! High class enough for the ballet as much as it is for a musically oriented concert!!
I hadnt been to the Fillmore in a long time but its a beautiful venue for concerts and shows. They are well know for having top name artists and talent regularly. My sisters and I saw Dave Chapelle here recently and our seats were good, the service excellent and the show was okay too. I would recommend the Fillmore as a great place to go out and enjoy yourself on a date or as a group. Its a Detroit gem and the architecture is outstanding.
Best place to go see your favorite artist some MCs be sleeping on this place tho
Weve been here a couple of times for concerts, and this is one of the best places in Detroit. Last year we saw the broken social scene with frightened rabbit and stubborn D. You must line up outside before the doors open, so make sure you are warm in the winter. All floors for drinks and bars and French fries. There is a small food stand for you. . No bad seats in the house. Dont tell me the theater is so beautiful! The decorated ceilings are my favorite part. Would recommend to see a show here!
Went there to see deadmau5 and the experience was pretty awesome. We had floor tickets and were able to see the stage very up close! there were no seats so there was a lot of room to dance and stand. The is a big bar there serving drinks very quickly and price was around $10 for a big beer which is affordable. The only thing I can complain a bit are that restrooms were outside of the floor area and yo had to go down some stairs to go there and once you wanted to re-enter the floor area you had to show the ticket again to the person controlling who enters the floor area every time. Entry to the venue was very quick and simple.
An excellent venue in the heart of downtown Detroit. A gorgeous setting for anything! The adjoining sports bar has great bar food and has bathrooms you can use during set breaks so dont wait in line like a fool!
First visit to the Fillmore was to see Brothers Osborne on January 11th. It is a beautiful theater with very nice accommodations. I would say the acoustics were not spectacular from where our seats were located, but the experience was still worth the effort. I would encourage anyone to go check out this majestic place.
Beautiful theater but it was so cold!! Went to watch Jay & silent Bob reboot with one of my best pals. Seating sucked, fold out chairs that were sketchy. Loved the decor though.
Love going to concerts here! Always a great time.
Saw Skillet and Alter Bridge here. Excellent venue to go and see a show. Lots of options for standing and sitting and there really isn’t a bad view in the place. Will definitely return if the opportunity arises.
Great venue. It is a really nice building. General admission isnt bad at all, but if you want to get close prepare to be uncomfortable. They have railings on raised platforms though if youre alright with standing further away. Loge seating was pretty nice. I wouldnt do balcony seating unless you are okay with being pretty far away. Drink prices are what you would expect. The bathrooms upstairs are better to go to because there are usually less people up there.
Do you want to Fill More in Detroit? Then youll love this place! Awesome concert venue! There architecture is amazing. The venue is set up with multiple levels and even from the farthest seats up you can see the stage clearly. Easy to get in. Watch out for those $12 beers though.
One of my very favorite venues to see live music, absolutely stunning decor. Great acoustics. Prices are high at the bar. $3.50 for a water. But they offer free cups of water too.
Amazing show prince Impersonator if you would have known any better you would have thought it was prince formerly known as the symbol. RIP Roger Nelson “Prince” £
Awesome Architecture to amplify Venues Historic list of Great Bands!
Classic theater with beautiful adornments. Its got a cool old-school feel. Well located right in the heart of downtown Detroit, it is very east to get to from most anywhere. Its nice that they have a bar in the main theater area, very convenient
I love this venue. It so beautiful
Great venue! Saw Bring Me The Horizon here.
Great small venue..well worth the drive down there. Even the worst seats are great tickets were priced reasonably. I loved going there
Great venue! So beautiful and historic. Super clean and renovated well. Loved the casual seating areas and prompt bartenders. We will be back!
Usually awesome, however they ran put of toiletries in the womans bathroom when I was there for RKS last night. Other than that its always a great spot to see a band.
My first time here for a show. The employees were great, venue is beautiful, seating was a ease. Food was decent, the chairs werent great.
This is such a beautiful venue. saw bring me the horizon here on the 4th and it was amazing. the security was really awesome. Not only is it amazing for concerts, but its amazing view wise, the walls were beautiful and so was the ceiling.
Love this place! So beautiful and the staff was amazing! I left a review on 20 monroe live and suggested the Fillmore over that place
Had a great experience, went to see Dream Theater on 04/02/19. Great show! Security was a breeze, be sensible only bring your wallet phone and keys. Beautiful place. Nice workers. I will say though, No flash photos i get..I dont know how theyre going to try and tell you not to take video on your phone but youre more than welcome to take pictures. Whats the dang difference if I push this button or that button on my phone.
Absolutely beautiful we went to see We Came As Romans Tribute Concert and had a great time there are no bad seats. The interior is just amazing and beautiful.
Amazing old theatre in the heart of the city. They have just finished a major renovation and it shows. Several bars on each floor. There is also a bar/restaurant next door for before and after. Great views from any seat in the house.
Cool place to see a concert! Bathroom is downstairs which kind of stinks and they definitely over-packed it for the Morgan Wallen concert but would definitely go back because its intimate enough to where you are never too far from the stage.
Beautiful Historic theater, not a bad seat in the place. Great place to see a concert.
Beautiful venue. Nicely sized for a more intimate listening experience with your favorite band or stand up comedian.
I like The Fillmore because the staff is kind, you typically dont have to wait very long for concessions and I feel safe in there. The sound has always been exceptionally executed. Having performed there a few times, that side is really cool too!
I love the Fillmore. But you guys need to let us ravers bring in some glow sticks. Not even fair.
I love this venue! The architecture is just beautiful!
Amazing venue beautiful place with excellent sound quality
Love this place!! Beautiful historical theater in Detroit next to the Fox. We went to the first show after they had finished renovations.Had great seats, in the VIP section, full bar service. The servers were great, never had to leave our seats!! (Except for smoke or bathroom breaks). Highly recommend!!Definitely have to check it out!!
Beautiful building. The acoustics were amazing. Staff were kind and escorted my party to handicap seating as I am legally blind. I would definitely see any band (rock or blues) there again in a heartbeat.
Nicer venue than I expected. Just dont pay extra for seats! The rows were closer together than any theater Ive been to. I had to sit with my legs to one side and Im average height (about 59).
Nice venue I just wish they had seating in the first floor. The Roots gave a PHENOMENAL Show!
Great venue to see a show. The staff is always friendly helpful and attentive. The acoustics are also amazin . All the architectural elements add to the appeal of the classic venue. I love it when my favorite bands play here. Looking forward to another great year off shows!!!!
I have seen quite a few bands at this venue and every time has been a great time. The security is kind and helpful. The layout isn’t too stressful to navigate. The bathrooms might need a little work but that’s every venue. LOL downtown Detroit is getting very cool and the Fillmore is keeping up with the times.
Drove from Indiana to see Slander last night and was very excited until I got there. First had issues with the guard not letting us on the floor and being very rude about our tickets being screenshots. We overlooked this and tried to enjoy our night until the artist told everyone to get on someone’s shoulders. I was only on my boyfriend’s shoulders for 30 seconds when one of the staff grabbed my arm trying to yank me down. In doing so, he knocked my phone out of my hand as I attempted to not fall off of him. The guard then pulled a smaller girl off from behind us and both of them fell over! My phone is now shattered and our night was ruined, very disappointed in my first time here with the staff.
One of my favorite venues by far in the Detroit area! Very spacious, and beautiful interior. The staff is always friendly, and there are goodies upon exit of the restrooms (be sure to tip). If there is an artist you enjoy at The Fillmore, GO!
Definitely a great place to see your favorite bands. If you dont like the crowds that arenas draw, or the limitations of bar-like venues, this place is great for you. Its similar to The Fox Theatre, but you dont have to worry about finding seats on the main floor!
Loved it here! Even from the upper balcony we could see pretty good. I’d definitely go see a concert here again
BackKind and helpful staff. Smaller seats than expected. Lots of fun though. I would love to go
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. They also did an amazing job decorating it for the Halloween season. Getting through security was fairly quick and painless. Everything is over priced- as tends to be the Live Nation way. The biggest problem, though, was the teeny tiny hard to fit in seats. As a 57 120 lb girl, I cannot imagine how anyone bigger or taller could even fit in them at all. My legs were so smooshed, I could not move them an inch and it was actually painful. Highly suggest only standing at this place.
Awesome venue for any show! Lil Fox...Easy in and out....& short walk to Campus Martius... perfect!
Beautiful building and great show. Staff was super friendly and helpful. However the snack food was not the best, that night. But Kevin Smith made up for it with his awesome personality and funny jokes. Loved it and would definitely come back to see him again.
Such an amazing venue! This beautiful theater was built in 1925 and the details that have been so lovingly maintained are phenomenal! Such a small intimate venue is always going to kick butt and this place ROCKED! The staff, including security were all terrific. Even the parking for the show we attended was great.
My first time in this C.Howard Crane design...it was phenomenal. I, of course dressed for the building not the artist...my lesson. The Staff were not only efficient but very helpful and kind. The acoustics are wonderful and all the seats are wonderful. The performers were awesome! #Wildthecoyote #Yelawolf ...my apologies to the 3rd group...I didnt get a chance to meet them and I dont want to mispost names.
This place is gorgeous. Saw Jordan B Petersons US book tour here. Perfect venue!
Awesome venue! Great veiws killer sounds! Always a great time. Highly recommend seeing a show there.
Great place to see a show see Kara at VIP shes got great upgrades
Saw Greta Van Fleet here. It was so awesome seeing the boys from Frankenmuth make good. The venue was wonderful. We were up in the balcony, and I think that, acoustically, we had some of the best seats. These guys tore it up. I felt a little bit like I was seeing Nirvana at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor in the early 90s. These guys are going to be playing arenas. Really soon.If you get a chance, see them. No kidding. Go see them now.
Great place for an awards banquet or to see a play. Music would also be wonderful to listen too here. Love the old designing of it and the stain glass. Seats are pretty comfortable too even for a larger person. Places for handicapped too.
Also fun to go...It is a beautiful place..
Beautiful building, friendly staff.... but the seating is terrible! We were in the upper balcony and the seats have you packed in like sardines, no leg room and really narrow seats. Plus, the stairs are incredibly steep.
Sound system for this particular group may have been too much for the venue--could not understand much of the vocals. Seats in balcony have very little leg room. Overall, all seating is pretty close to stage, very little obstructed viewing. Would definitely go again.
The Fillmore is such a great venue. There are no bad seats. It is a smaller venue, and its a more intimate experience with who you are seeing.
This venue is great! The acoustics are exceptional and the space has plenty of room for large crowds. They are quite strict in that you have to show your ticket each time you go down into the pit, but this is definitely a good thing. Ive had experience at other venues where there isnt enough policing of who goes where, causing overcrowding and an unpleasant experience.
Beautiful old theater from the 20s. Very recently refurbished. A staple of Detroit.
Beautiful place from 1920s. Old grandeur you dont see in modern structures.
Such a beautiful venue! Had a great time and all the staff were great and extremely helpful!
Such a beautiful place!! Friendly helpful staff and an awesome place for a concert.
We saw Rainbow Kitten Surprise here and we had seen them at another venue prior. The Filmore was so much better from sound to lighting. It was really great!
Great time. Great sounds. Amazing theatre. When you go check out the sculptures and designs.
Outstanding venue - beautiful decor, friendly staff, and good seats wherever you end up.
The Fillmore is a great concert theater for seeing shows. You can get close, great acoustics, extraordinary decor, and presents a lot of quality artists. I really enjoy seeing concerts at this venue.
Lots of room, great sound, clean bathrooms, coat check, they had food but I did not try it... bar service was good too. Really enjoyed this venue. Hotels close by also, my daughter and I walked to ours after the show.
The building itself is a beautiful historic landmark of Detroit. The sound system for the concerts is not the greatest, at least the couple I have attended.
Its a true landmark in the city of Detroit. Steve Hackett was fabulous. The 2 employees who were next to me in the balcony laughed during crucial moments of the performance.
Beautiful place! Such a great place to see a show. There isnt a bad seat in the house. Always enjoy going to the Fillmore. The bathrooms are a little small but thats okay considering the place is historic. I think they updated the original sign on the front of the building. Great place for a concert!!!
Beautiful theater. Went there to see Jason Bonham. Phenomenal acoustics, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable seating
Beautiful venue and it seemed like there couldnt have been a bad view in the house. Floor seating was pretty tight - if youre a tall or larger person, I would imagine thats be very unpleasant after a while. Other than that, great venue!
Went for the Aaron Lewis concert and had a blast. Seats were a bit cramped where I was but then again Im a bigger guy.
Absolutely beautiful venue! There is no better place to enjoy a concert. There isnt a bad spot in the house. Weve decided that we will go to any/all concerts of interest simply because of how close you are able to be to the entertainer for a reasonable price.
Great place! Perfect size for a concert.
Filmore is typically on point. Clean. Comfortable. Easy access. But last night they ran out of toilet paper in the womans bathroom. I went down stairs into the next door bar. Which was pretty nice. Other than that ...awesome experience. Illerate Light opened for RKS. Surprised at how incredible illitterate light was. They are on their way to GREATNESS!
One of the best concert venues in Detroit! The 2018 renovations are gorgeous.
My first concert experience here was outstanding! The facility was clean and the workers were friendly and very helpful. The concert itself was on another level. I wasnt familiar with the band modest mouse (the headliner) or mass Gothic (the opener) but after seeing them at the Fillmore and seeing how well the stage and lighting was put together for them I can honestly say I am huge fans of the now! Definitely will be back for another show!
Really cool atmosphere. Very unique interior. Balcony seems a little tight only due to low ceiling but the chairs were surprisingly spacious. Sound was good.
Great venue! I love the fact its smaller and the acoustics are great! We had balcony general admission got there an hour before first act and got second row seats. The view was perfect for a short person like me.
Ive been here a couple dozen times. Im a concert goer and concerts are the highlights of my year. I dont listen to the trash on the radio so my experiences at this venue are of expertise and professionalism. The food is garbage and expensive garbage at that. Eat before or after the show. The drink menu isnt bad however. The place is always clean and the staff do their jobs right.5 star experience. Always.
We saw Faith No More here in 2015 during the Sol Invictus tour SO good! We splurged on Mezzanine seats & they were worth it! The bar was right around the corner so refills took very little time & the Ladies room was super close & clean! The Fillmore has #gorgeous architecture & cozy seats We drank double Jamesons & Strong Bow Ciders all night and grabbed some merchandise on our way out Phenomenal acoustics Excellent staff Love this place
This was an aweome venue and the staff was polite and helpful. Snacks were great, but some may think they were pricey. Ill definitely be back for other shows!
Great place definitely will be going there again. Had a blast. I just wish they would show people to the correct seats. Three times they tried to seat different people in the same seats.
Beautiful old Detroit theater. Great intimate place to catch a concert.
Ive been to a lot of places downtown and I really love this theater it has all the classic feeling of the old days and the Staff are awesome along with having low lines for beverages and being on top of everything that people need the only suggestion I have is to clean the dust of the chandeliers so you actually feel like youre in a theater In 1929.
Beautify theater. The seats are REALLY crammed together but overall great place.
Saw The Roots at the Fillmore. Awesome venue and very accessible drinks! Several locations placed in good areas.
It was a great show n clean theatre
Very nice historic venue in a bustling vibrant downtown. Attended a corporate event and got a chance to wonder and take in the sights. The interior is simply wonderful.
