Kudos to the Denver Zoo for creating the best possible experience with the pandemic. Tickets are timed in order to limit the number of people, the entire Zoo experience is a one-way-follow-the-arrows-on-the-path walk to limit exposure to people, high-touch surfaces were noted (where even allowed), very few people were in the gift shop, and people were very good about wearing masks and social distancing. I was pleasantly surprised and felt as though we were safe and healthy during our visit.

This is a small zoo for such a large city. Maybe you will see animals, most likely you wont. Now you have all of the indoor viewing areas closed as if this was to prevent the spread of COVID. If you are going to restrict viewing then reduce the price. After all this is Denver, CO and this is what you offer people who stop in this city from around the world! I think I would rather go to Omaha, NB to see a zoo. I took only 5 pics that day. Nothing else picture worthy.

I have always enjoyed the zoo... this time we went in November and it was fairly nice out so quite a few of the animals are out. They have created directional paths for walking and everybody does have to wear masks and of course people are encouraged to stay six feet apart which is good. One does have to sign up for a time slot which helps keep the crowds down but its easy to do right on their website.

Lots of fun during Zoo Lights. The timed entry helps to reduce crowds, making it easy to socially distance. There were random heaters and firepits set up around the zoo which were nice for a quick warmup. Being dark out we didnt see many animals though we did see a few elephants and wild horses. The lights were great and well done with the styles changing as you went around the zoo which kept things from getting stale.

We went during Covid. Zoo requires mask wearing for all guests 3 and up despite all exhibits being outdoors. In Colorado presently, all that is mandated is 10 and up indoors.I have a 3 year old. She was scolded for having her mask pulled down when we were like 200 ft from the exit, which made her feel bad and made me annoyed. Only idiots who know nothing about little kids would require this for such a young age. Aside from the restrictions, you can see some of the animals up close, which I have not seen at zoos in Memphis, Kansas City, or St. Louis. The African exhibit was the best.

I really wanted to give them 5 stars but they had a pretty ridiculous amount of the park still closed due to “COVID”. We still managed to have a pretty amazing time here and spent a good amount of time looking at each animal. It’s hard to compare to our KC Zoo which is cheaper and more than double the size of this one. I felt like some of the enclosures were a bit small for their respective animals too which I didn’t like.

An excellent large zoo with a huge variety of animals. I think both adults and children will like this place - it is a very pleasant place to relax with the whole family. There are many places to eat and relax after a long walk around the zoo. At the same time, it is very clean here, and you can see that the animals are kept in very good conditions: all the cages are clean, and they feed everyone regularly. Although nothing prevents you from walking here alone and looking at different types of exotic animals, besides, there are very pleasant landscapes here.

The Denver Zoo is always a delightful place to visit. You need to make a reservation online in advance, which was no problem. There are currently quite a few babies and the animals were all pretty active because of the cooler weather. It was my first time visiting since they constructed the Toyota Elephant Passage, which allows the elephants to access different parts of their enclosure. All staff follow the Covid guidelines and everyone in the zoo is required to wear masks and social distance.

This zoo is so amazing! We had so much fun! We went during the summer on a hotter day and it was impossible to find a way to see the entire zoo in one day. This place is huge! There are so many animals and so many little activities for the young ones to do throughout the park. The staff is very amazing. They saved us a shoe that was thrown by my tot near the ape spot. Lol. They helped us leave by going through employee’s only gates because they could tell that we were very hot and had a small one that needed to go home. It was really sweet of this one employee to do! The food is not bad and of course it’s very expensive. It is park prices. Overall, one of the best zoos in the nation and I must visit for anyone who comes to our lives in Colorado!

Just went to the opening night of the 30th anniversary of Zoolights!! It was a wonderful experience, they outdid themselves with both the quantity & quality of the displays. Everything from the live under-the-sea display, to individual trees coated in lights, to the animated exhibits of animals catching fish or chasing rabbits, to the Sasquatch running through the forest & roaring, to the delicate lanterns in Toyota Elephant Passage, was a feast for the eyes. The weather was lovely, the hot chocolate delicious & the patrons masked & socially distanced.

There is lots to see at this zoo. Such a variety of wildlife and fish to explore. You must get your tickets online prior to visiting, as they are doing timed entry due to COVID. Prices are somewhat high in my opinion at $20 a person, but I understand there are animals to feed and exhibits to maintain. All exhibits were open except the bird exhibit. To top it off theyve added LEGO built animals along the path of the zoo, which were amazing. The zoo is also one direction to keep the flow of traffic, and masks are required. There is a new interactive exhibit called stingray bay, but it costs an addition $5 per person to enter. Overall, lovely zoo, clean with nice staff. Would recommend to others coming to Denver, kid and adult friendly.

Its lovely to have the option, especially since they give you estimated times for each route. Even though there are still closed exhibits, they have a new stingray exhibit where you can touch them!! Today was a very hot day (literally almost hit 100°) so just keep in mind thats not comfortable for the animals either.
