A beautiful park surrounded by trees. I’ve been here a few times to do family portraits. It’s so scenic and perfect for photography. The natural preserve also has signs through out the walk ways explaining the different plant and bird species you may find out there. It’s so tranquil you can’t hear the cars on Congress. Check it out!
Pretty, shaded natural area. This is a nice place to walk and get out of the house. I was expecting it to be more quiet, maybe it was the time of the day( noon), but I could hear cars ALL the time. Free, acessable paved walk to a small observation tower. FYI... No trash cans, no bathrooms and no water.
Nice little park.. wish there were more trails. Lots of foliage and shade. Placards along the trail tell you about the indigenous plants.
Not too many animals to see other than the tortoises. Great place for pic ops tho and just enjoying a piece of nature in the middle of a city.
Nice little spot of nature nestled within town. Not really a place for picnic, more for walking. One main paved path, but multiple marked unpaved paths. There is a small outlook area at the end of the paved path with benches.
Wonderful sounds of nature surrounding you as you walk a well maintained path to a beautiful little seating platform in the center. I saw 2 turtles and maybe a monkey?!? Lol it moved fast but really looked like a monkey
Wonderful park filled with huge live oak trees and Spanish moss, smells amazing.
Official parking spaces are pretty limited. Theres maybe 9 spots, but many tend to park alongside the fence in the parking lot. This is a fairly popular spot around lunch. Many people grab lunch, drive here, park, and eat lunch in their vehicle. The there are two trail. The main trail is a paved sidewalk and a sandy trail splits off from the main paved trail. The trees have overgrown quite nicely and do a great job at allowing light while still keeping the trail mostly shady. The trail and entire location is kept VERY clean. I occasionally see bits of trash here and there, but it all appears to be new/fresh and generally doesnt remain on the ground very long. The trail does have a lot of blind turns, so runners be wary. Thankfully the trail doesnt see a ton of foot traffic. Also the trail is quite short. The signage says 0.3miles. I believe this is one way. So walking to the end of the paved trail and back to the beginning would be roughly 0.6miles. The sand trail is 0.2miles.The end of the paved path does offer an observation desk, though the only thing to observe are trees. It roughly looks as if 25ft out in all directions was cut down to give a view from the observation deck, but theres nothing to really look at.There is a tortoise near the beginning of the trail. If youre lucky, you may catch a glimpse of him cross the trail. Ive yet to see any other animals aside from the occasional squirrel and tiny snake (black racer and grass snakes). Lizards are prevalent, but then again this is S Florida.Short of that, its a nice trail to walk, though if there are others, expect to bump into them as the two of you walk back and forth down the trail.
Wonderful patches to hike around and enjoy nature.
Beautiful place. Nature is preserved as Florida used to be. Cooler than one would think because of all the shade trees. Only drawback is the traffic noise.
Refreshing walk with plenty of pokestops
Peaceful and quiet, watch out for the occasional bike rider who cant read the rules!!
Nice and quiet place but there are many insects.
This is a very nice quiet place to walk and take a moment to breath in nature
Nice shady path with abundant wildlife, a few too many mosquitoes.
Nice, cool, very private and lovely walking. Different paths to choose from.
A mile long paved trail with a bench midway and ends with a wooden dock overlooking a wooded area. Many old oaks with Spanish moss. Theres an unpaved loop with some gopher tortoise dens. Depending, you can see Cardinals and blue Jays flying about. Ive seen some Hawks and racoons. I walk it sometimes during my lunch hour to get out of the office.
Deserted. It was a great walk. Nice quiet
Great little walk.
Loved it....its a nice place to walk with my dog and enjoy the nature around.
My friend and I were sitting on the benches at the end of the trail and both of us got bitten by little fire ants from the actual bench. Little hard to see fire ants.
A wonderful walk with many FloridaNative plants. An easy glimpse of how things were
A nice walk, shaded areas
Beautiful peaceful place. I love watching the Gopher tortoises (theyre a protected species, its illegal to touch them, fyi.) The nature walk ends at a wooden seating area and theres a large drop below it which looks as though it could be a pond/stream at certain times of year. Its a wonderful visual to see in South Florida.
Beautiful place to walk through.
Find shade to beat the heatThe shady hardwood forests have a canopy of live oak, cabbage palm, and strangler fig. Wild coffee, American beautyberry, and several species of ferns are present in the understory. The 25-acre Delray Oaks Natural Area is home to many resident and migratory birds, including red-shouldered hawk, blue-gray gnatcatcher, and several species of warblers.FeaturesLive Oak Trail (paved) 0.29 milesBeautyberry Trail (sandy) 0.20 milesObservation platform overlooking a strand swampOpen Sunrise to Sunset, 365 Days a Year
Shaded asphalt trail, about 1/3 mile to the end, which is a balcony flanked by benches on two sides, but no tables. Lots of tortoises, baby ones too, who dont yet hide in their shell when they notice you. Ive come across an occasional harmless black snake too. This is only on the asphalt. There is also a marked path into the forest, which is nice too. On the asphalt path, about 2/3 mile there and back, Ive come across some disturbing sites, mostly from people who dont understand that this is a very busy trail, occupied by families and employees on their breaks during day, as well as birdwatchers, but generally its a lovely, shaded break from the open sun on SW 29th Street and much of Congress Avenue. Its also quiet except for the chatter of some couples and groups. Its a nice escape from the sounds of traffic. Enjoy!
A gem. A great place to take in some nature and hit the trail. Small but problably the most scenic trail in the area. I always spot wildlife and it is cooler to walk through because of the tree canopy.
Really interesting little nature area. Has a variety of native edible plants and fruit.
Beautiful... Paved
Wonderful place to connect with nature and the good thing about is near all major stores and highways.
A shady walk through a natural area. Watch for tortoises. Bring mosquito repellent.
It is a quick couple of trails that give you a taste of Floridas natural environment. Ive seen Cardinals, bluejays, and gopher tortoises on separate occasions! Nice place to get away for 15 minutes.
Beautiful place to relax, walk and reflect.
I arrived in the park at 5:00 p.m. and returned at 6:00 p.m. to the parking lot when I found a security guard who asked us why we were there. He said the park was closed. Maybe the time informed here is not correct.
Nice little walk. Ran into a turtle on the path.
Nice little trail and fun to walk. Quite and serene. Might see Gopher tortoise occasionally. They are there. It is a scrub- so no water. Hence different sort plants. A nice change.
Great little park.
A great Park. Too bad there is no water fountain there
Small but lovely little park. Unpaved trail is .2 miles.
A smaller, but picturesque and intimate park in Delray Beach. Offers an easily accessible nature trail with an opportunity to observe beautiful plants as well as wildlife.
The place was beautiful
Good well kept area parking can get busy but nice walking path and easy in and out area. Good location.
Small Wildlife refuge with GORGEOUS trees. I love finding these little hidden gems.
I was just bored one day so I took a bike ride down el rio trail... I ended the trail and it dumped me somewhere between Clint Moore and Linton near Congress. Naturally curious I came upon this small park and I just rode around. I didnt go down the trail since no bikes are allowed so I left... A few months later after class I drove down there again and I parked and walked on down the path to reveal a cool area in the shrubs with a mini over look... Its really small and kind of loud with all the car traffic you ear from I-95. I imagine it would be more peaceful if you were deaf. But all in all it was a chill peaceful spot in the middle of busy city roads. Its not a long walk and you wont get hot in this hammock. Go explore!
Small wildlife refuge quiet walking path and great location for bird watching.
A nice shady walk.
This is a great little trail one part paved one part not I almost always see a gopher tortoise when I come here
Amazimg place to Pokemon hunt!
Bedners Farms. Great for kids and family.
Boring, not even a water fountainNo toilet no wildlife
Very nice. Lots of trees for shade.
Very relaxing
The walkway is paved and theres not much to see, but its still peaceful if you want a quiet place to read.

Not worth a visit. A little trail among a few trees and bushes without much interest. Dont go out of your way to see it.
Beauty
Nice wooded trails.
Nice but short
Delray has to do something about the litter in this Park.
Cool
It was not a nice place.
Ok park but very small,Watch out if you take small children here because crack addicts take aluminum cans and poke holes in them and then smoke crack out of them. They then throw the cans on the ground as litter.
A hidden gem in Delray Beach!
Nice little Natural Area
