Unexpectedly huge interior, good priced drinks and plenty of music. I believe a total of 7 bars with the largest being in the center of a big circle dance floor in the middle of the building. Great place to stop by for entertainment.

Great place! Lots of fun and Covid compliant. Staff were great!! Were older so would have liked to have heard some country classics but maybe wishful thinking. Also, dance lessons were very helpful!

My bartender was awesome; super sweet young lady. Customers, not so nice. Very rude and felt like I wasnt welcome. It was awkward because I come from a tiny country town in Arizona ... But apparently, I wasnt welcome. Anyway... The staff is amazing! I will definitely visit again when Im in town, but I wont mingle with the locals :(

Great music and atmosphere for grabbing a beer or dancing the night away. Usually go on Thursday nights for Ladies night and always a fun time. Went on a Friday for a B-day and it was awesome. Also the resident band Tyler Hammond & Runnin’ behind were awesome! They were on top of it making sure covid precaution were being done. They took temperature at the door and made sure people were wearing their mask on the dance floor. Capacity seemed to be below what is required in Dallas county.

Havent been to Red River in a few years. Went a few weeks ago for my daughters birthday party, and was a bit grossed out. This place is so disgustingly dirty, I cant believe the City of Dallas lets them stay open. Red River Mgmt...do better than this!!! In all the years I used to hang there, I NEVER saw it so filthy!!

Best dance floor in the metroplex, bar none! Beautiful Texas girls, great live band, and dance lessons to help git ya on the floor. Pool tables, riding bull, and something like 5 different bars. My favorite club!

Great atmosphere! Most anyone who knows how to dance will teach you if you ask them. Every bartender is especially awesome, and very friendly! I really love coming here to do this activity I love so much in a society where the art of dancing is essentially lost. Drink if you want to, or dont! Youll be in good company either way!

Its great to see a dance hall that is still in operation. They also had a live band come out and do some cover songs which is always my personal preference. The one thing I didnt get was the throwing of napkins into the air. Maybe Im too old to get it, but it just seemed wasteful and pointless to me.

This place is great for dancing and having some drinks! The reason for 3 stars is last time I was there I ordered a whiskey coke and a water. I paid the tall blonde bartender and I only received the water, so I waited and asked her wheres my whiskey coke? she told me “what whiskey coke” I was upset so I just bought another one. Next thing I know Im getting kicked out by the bouncers. I was outside for awhile I explained the situation and had a few friends come outside to verify my story and they let me back in but red river still owes me 2 whiskey cokes.

We’ve been going here for years and we love it. We don’t live in the area anymore, due to me being military. But we try to make a trip every time we are home. Seems like we are getting older, but everyone else is staying the sameAge. We always have a good time here though. When we think of home, we think of this place.

The first night, nothing was done to enforce social distancing, but the rest of the weekend was quite pleasant and I got a ladies number. Fun place to go for 2 stepping.

My husband and I absolutely love coming to to this club! I as a woman feel safe (with so much security and officers upfront) and respected. Everyone that comes here, just wants to have a great time! Bartenders are quick and provide great service even through the hectic lines. Best place to have any party or date night.

If you like 2- stepping, youll enjoy this! The layout is perfect for dancing. Lots of bars distributed around, with drinks and great country music. Very communal, random people walk up to you to dance. Missing a star simply because Im neither a big night life fan nor a a big two stepping fan, but I always have a great time when I go here with friends!Great location right off Northwest Highway, great parking and its pretty affordable to get in.

RR has returned to playing country music that you can actually dance to. Always a good time if you want to dance and have some drinks. Dance floor gets packed after 11pm or so.

Red River is the best place to dance in the Dallas area. Put on your boots (or other heeled shoes with leather or smooth outsoles) and get on their giant oval dance floor and two-step! The music is loud, live on weekends, and excellent. Its the easiest place to meet new people and dance with strangers. RR is what makes me never want to move too far from Dallas. Why go jogging for half an hour when you can dance and have a great time for several hours with a greater physical benefit?

Amazing wonderful experience. Very nice staff. Big dance floor. They have free classes every day. They have few games available too. Restrooms were all clean. All in all if you are looking for Texas style dance club definitely it’s the best option in DFW.

This is the most fun I had in awhile,it is hard not to dance with friends. It is very crowded at the peak times such as 11PM. A live band with a variety of songs to sing ranging from country to Hip Hop. I danced with a few people but the highlight was when everyone did the cupid shuffle. Great drinks,also the waiter was very attentive. I would recommend this place for everyone looking to have a great time!

Free country dance lessons are great, atmosphere & lighting, inner bar & outer bars feel awesome, professional & friendly, and the waitresses & waiters feel positive & ready to serve well & capable. Parking lot is very accommodating in size & has free golf cart shuttle services & great security & bouncers to greet u at the front door. Great usage of your time here. Come & have a great time. Well worth your effort to come here.

This is my where my wife and I come to let loose when we can. A very respectful crowd. Whether it be the DJ or a live band. Cowboys Red River always delivers the BOOM. And you always leave knowing why God blessed Texas. Amen

I went on a Thursday night before Valentines day and it was moderately packed. The drinks were really well made (I forgot the bartenders name) and that night they played a lot of country music. I personally like to dance to hip hop and pop more and the DJ did play that occasionally. I dont go to places like that often but I enjoyed myself there

Not a big crowd for a Wednesday night. The band was good, the service was excellent because it wasnt crowded at all. They have a bull ride attraction and thats fun

If you own a cowboy hat and enjoy dancing with your boots on then this is your place. Plus there are plenty of women just looking for a reason to sweat on the dance floor. Being sans cowboy hat and new to texas its not quite my cup of tea (or mug of Bud Light). Worth the cultural experience for at least one visit, for sure!

I went on two Thursdays. Entrance is free if you get there early enough. They carry out Dance classes for the early birds at 715pm. Followed by openining of the dance floor, live music, drink specials and at around 10pm, they alternate the music between hip hop and country until the end of the night. Very good atmosphere and mostly an abundance of women compared to men. Lots of fun

Red River was fun, not what I expected the entire time I was there. Country music with the occasional mix of modern hip hop periodically. Also, the staff gets on the bar tops for those interested in that coyote ugly situation. Overall atmosphere was good, be sure to keep up with your bar person as they have specific tabs for each user, which was new to me.

Super friendly, super organized, super place to learn the two-step. Wish they had more line dancing songs to get groups of people on dance floor. Enjoyed the atmosphere.

We were there a month ago. We were impressed with the sheer size of the place along with the fun atmosphere, the cleanliness and the decent drinks. But, when midnight rolled in we noticed how dirty the place became. Thousands of paper napkins strewn all over the club. Patrons walking around with paper napkins stuck to their soles, including yours truly. We were like, why would management allow and even encourage this type of activity from their staff?? Why can they use confetti or something else? In less than 20 minutes the bar went from clean to a complete pig sty.

Love this place and the atmosphere- dance floor is huge and there are a lot of pool tables but some have been out of order recently. If you like a lot of people and a place to learn to dance and be social, this is your place!

I will NEVER return to this place. Ive been once before but when I tried to get in last Saturday the bouncer decided they wanted to be buzz kills and TOOK my only form of Identification and told me I wasnt allowed into the club. I was in Dallas over the weekend from Florida. I had a Florida I.D. and apparently it is a crime to be from out of state. I had a flight that following Monday out of Dallas and was not able to catch my flight due to having my I.D. TAKEN BY THIS CLUBS BOUNCERS! They didnt even make an attempt to scan my I.D. like a normal person would do. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Ample parking. Quite dark inside. Live bands that sometimes are good, sometimes would make a dog howl. Dance floor is an oval with open in the center where there is a bar. Most of the dancers only know how to spin and dip their partners without looking where they are going. Almost was kicked in the face from a girl getting dipped and kicking up her boots. A lot of rude and pushy dancers. The bouncer kept taking our new and full drinks. Had to complain to get it to stop. The thing I hate the most is when the bartenders all throw up in the air good napkins which is very wasteful to our tree resources. They do this all night. Makes the place look trashy.

Great lessons and dancing. Trixie is superb bartender! Take care of not leaving a drink sitting while dancing though.

Went here with my Nephews while visiting for graduation. Lots of fun, live music, good people. Dance floor is shaped like a race track with a bar in the middle. They have a mechanical bull, and thankfully it is over on one side. They also have pool/billiard tables there as well. Multiple bars around the place to accommodate large crowds without causing huge wait for drinks. A thousand miles from home so I probably wont be back soon, but I would seek it out if Im in the area again.

We went for the two step lessons and ended up learning the three step. It was definitely a lot of fun. Some did better than others. We were at the lower mid range. I just need a lot of practice and another round of classes. It was fun!

Make sure you show up for the free dance lessons at 7:30 if you need them. We sure did. Big, fun, tolerant place.

I come here consistently with friends. The dancing culture here is that you can ask about anyone to dance and that there are consistently really great dancers. The live bands have always been great each time Ive been there. Male dancers usually outnumber the woman. So whether you are new to this or a seasoned dancer, there are all different levels of partners to dance with.

This place is pure Texas and a great time. I came here for their Halloween party and it was a blast! There’s something here for everyone... even if you wouldn’t think you’re the type to country dance. Friendly folks and bouncers. Definitely a place to visit on your trip if you, your family or friends are in from another part of the country.

Red River is NOT the place to go. While I was there I witnessed them not allow an African American man in because he was wearing “too much red” he even told them that he had just come from watching a fight and they still denied him entrance. THIS IS WRONG. I also saw them kick a minor out because she was with a group of 21 and up and they were scared she was drinking. The girl seemed completely fine but they still made her leave because they think she may have. There are so many other dance halls that are more worth your time and money. Taylor and Dustin were the individuals on the staff who both denied the man entrance “due to how he was dressed” and kicked the girl out just to be safe. I’m disgusted in this place.

Thursday night is ladies night with $3 well drinks and $3 select bottles for everyone. If you have a military ID of any kind your cover is free any night of the week. The sign says that the venue is licensed to legally hold 1888 people. Im pretty sure thats a suggested figure as Im pretty sure its been over that when Ive been there. Its been insane. The bar tenders are amazing, I have my favorite Casi. Shes awesome. I not from Texas, Im from Idaho but this bar is every bit as good or better than any bar Ive ever been in bar none. The house band is also damn good too.

Amazing place to learn and execute the line dancing. People seemed extremely willing to dance, and everyone is dressed the part. The parking lot is extensive and Wednesday night was PACKED with live music and dancers. If you want to experience Texas, you gotta come here. Dont be scared to join the dancers, because everyone is welcome.

I used to love coming here for ladies night (Thursdays) but the last few times have been too crowded. Line gets very long after 11pm and then the dance floor is too full to even dance, the same songs play over and over.May try another night but definitely not ladies night again.

Free dance lessons each Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30. Nice dance area in a form of a circle. Live country concerts for free or price -depending on what time you enter. Was just missing food as the facility does not cook. Would advise to make a reservation as I came very early for Saturday night concert and had a hard time to find any free table as most of them have already signs stating they are reserved. But over all impression is good. Best for couples due to the country music - so dancing solo is not possible.

Really cool place, but it gets packed fast. At its peak hours there is no room to dance anymore and dont even get me started on the Line dances.

Very fun place, great environment. I go often. I will say it can get crowded and the music can be a little repetitive but those are my only complaints.

So Tonigh i went to the bar to grab a few drinks and mistakenly left my card at the table and for the rest of the night wasn’t served drinks. But instead of telling me that I wasn’t gonna he served they just didn’t look my way for the whole night so I was standing at the bar for an hour last time I’ll be goin there and for management it was the brunette working by the restrooms

Honestly, one of my favorite dance halls! If you’re against climate change, don’t go here; they throw napkins in the air every time the best drops! It’s AMAZING! Haha. Definitely a good time.

If youre looking for a coyote ugly experience..this is the place!! and yes, you can really dance on the bar..table..or stage. There is a mechanical bull, Im told, but I didnt see it. Lots of dance space. & Multiple bar stations. No food items served though. Being a black woman, I dont know how to 2step but, they give free lessons!!!. Im going to take the lessons and get back out there! It looks like a blast!

The dance floor is very SMALL they need to take out the center bar and make the dance floor bigger and it would be awesome. Music is always great, I just wish they made more room for dancing and we would go more often.

Went on a friday night for free dance lessons. The instuctor was great. But the lights were off and there was no music. We danced in the dark and silence But the staff was friendly and the place was clean.
