I think this theatre should have designated seatings. My wife and I walked in and a family of 7 had their kids spread all over this 14 recliner seated theatre. 4 of the 14 were bar seats & were VERY uncomfortable but my wife and I had no other seats. So we had to sit at the bar. We paid 24 dollars for these tickets and we had to sit in the back of the theatre on bar stools. Absolutely terrible.
A very neat and historic theatre, a place you want to add to your bucket list!
It was like my own movie theater with a personal feel to it. Only thing bad is its card only. Unless I missed something, walking in with cash to get a ticket is not an option but again i could be wrong. Felt family owned and thats what makes this place special. Definitely wouldnt mind coming back.
Will go again. This movie theatre is quite interesting. Although I watched a movie on an early PM weekday, it felt like a private movie theatre just for me.I watched Xmen: Dark Phoenix and with the privacy, it was a great experience. It would be better if they had a more technologically advanced screen and sound similar to Dolby Cinema but definitely great to go for a date or some quiet time.
BEWARE - THIS IS A MINI THEATER. I was completely caught off guard by the size of the auditorium. Only 10 seats, smallest screen Ive ever seen outside of a house. Honestly, my friend has a better set up in his house. Sound quality is also sub par. Full price ticket for 10% of the experience.
Wow, absolutely beautiful shopping center. Went to see It Chapter Two at the theater and it was the nicest movie theater I had ever been to.
Went there tonight. Had the whole little theater to ourselves. Wil go back despite the move previews and movie freezing on us. I had to search for help for a minute or two. But the people made it right after about 5 minutes. A little annoying. but well remedied. Like I said. Ill go back.
Cozy theatre with just a few screening rooms that’s a historic staple in the neighborhood. It’s conveniently located, they serve alcohol, and the snack selection is decently priced.
Outstanding place, Colors seem brighter when youre around.
Literally the worst theater in Dallas. My 3 stars is very generous. My main complaint is that the seats are so incredibly uncomfortable. As much as I enjoyed the movie I was viewing, I couldn’t wait to get out of that seat. There doesn’t seem to be any rules about noise or phones which are both very distracting. The theatre was absolutely trashed when we left. Obviously this is not the theaters problem but just an observation. The restroom stalls were grimey. This used to be one of my favorite theaters growing up but now I’ve been spoiled by spots like Alamo Drafthouse. I will never go back. This is Highland Park people! Let’s upgrade the seats at the least!
Cosy little theatre, staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice location in the busy shopping center. Convenient for local residents but the theater is a little old. Need to upgrade the sound system. Cannot fully appreciate some effects of sound for action movies or musical movies. Today’s world the sound system is the one of most important part of the movie
Quiet little theater with a great atmosphere.
They dont make them like this any more. Great mix of old-school experience and modern seating. And alcohol, of course.
Loved being able to pop in for a quick movie after work!
If youre not in Theater 1, then youll be in theater with a lot more chairs which are all very old and worn. Every employee there was a teen, which is understandable, however, they wanted to chat up the drama in their life while Im still waiting in line for the popcorn with nothing but crumbs. The walls are very thin so if theres an event going on in the lounge you will hear it in the theater.Lastly, in my show, the lights never went out in the theater room and it took 5 minutes to find someone and another 5 to get them to turn off the lights. Not the best experience to say the least.I recommend if you go MAKE SURE you will be in theater 1.
Very clean and courteous staff. Popcorn tasted fresh! I highly recommend.
Very nice shopping area
Very nice theater. Based on our experience in Theatre #1, the theater is just the right size. Stadium- style seating ¬ too big, not too small. Very nice employees.
I really enjoyed this theatre. Its different compared to others. Our movie was showing in the screening room that sits a total of 16. The seats didnt recline, but they are oversized. Theres even a bar there for the people who want a little buzz.
I like the smaller theaters—more intimate experience. To their bar. Good service
Very clean.good staff.
Love this spot. Old theatre upgrade
This is a really sexy little theater in a really cool, upscale mall. The only downside is that they only ever have the newest, hottest 4 movies going at one time. If the movie you want isnt one of the most popular movies currently out, dont plan on it being here. Still, this place is great! Comfortable seats and the homiest little environment. Free valet too. Although Ive never used it because Ive always gone to early enough movies where its not too hard to find parking. If this theater has the movie you want to see, I would definitely go here over anything else in a 5+ mile radius.
My daughter left her purse, we called within an hour and they said they had it and would put it somewhere safe as it was two days before Christmas. We went to pick it up and the purse was completely empty, money gone, toys gone, etc. I was handed an empty bag. I would not trust anyone who works in this theater with a left item, credit card etc, we will not be returning and will advise anyone we know not to.
Nice theater but it is very small. They split the original theater and updated to stadium seating several years and owners ago. I dont know what the total number of seats available is anymore but it isnt huge. That said, I have seen several films there and enjoyed the experience. Consession stand is good but I miss the ice cream parlor in the lower lobby.
We visited the theatre for the first time today, and we loved it! The small theatres are a nice change from the usual movie theater experience (the one we were in had 16 seats). It felt like being in someones home theatre room. The staff was friendly. Comfortable seats, too. Great experience.
Definitely a cool place to walk around
Thank you for hosting YAZDANI REAL ESTATE GROUP. We will be back as a group soon.
Beautiful old structure. Very organised and full of enthusiastic and helpful people. The bar is great too.
Lovely theater with attached bar/restaurant on the ground floor. Simply ride up the escalator to the ticket register. Nicer theater treat options I think, but the prices are still as high as youd expect at your normal theater, so eat before or save your money to eat out after.Theater also has a nice little lounge bar just a few steps from the ticket register. Its very nice. This is a much cozier theater, about 10-15 people per showing, and I wouldnt have it any other way. Nice black reclining seats, perfect digital screen, high range theater audio. Its like a really nice home theater if Highland Park is where your home is. Ticket prices are about $11-$12 for adults and student discounts apply with ID. Staff are also excellent.
Be careful which thestre your movie is in. They did warn us that we would be in a 10 person, two row theatre. You are 5 feel from the screen. Terrible. Might as well watch at home.
Such a great little theater! Family friendly, it has mommy juice and it always shows the top trending movies. It is a smaller theater, so it doesnt have all the current movies.
Ok
Cozy, intimate, comfortable. I was thrilled to sit in a theater seat and not have to worry about finding someones half chewed twizzler. The theater is very small which adds to its charm. 20 seats available - make sure you buy your tickets in advance. The arm between the seats can be lifted to provide ample snuggling. Best way to watch a movie! Dont forget to grab some popcorn. Tasted like real butter!
Never in my life had I gone to a movie theater that said it had a showing but was closed when I arrived. Back in May we arrived at this theater at 9:45pm for a 10pm showing of Captain America Civil War. The doors were locked and nobody was inside. What was weird was everything was still running though. The lights were on, the escalator was moving, and the TV at the bar was on. There was just no way to get in.We initially found this movie showing via Google however we confirmed the showing via Village Theatres own website.I now notice that Yelp shows Village Theatre closes at 7:45pm on weekdays. Unfortunately I didnt think it necessary to check yelp for closing time considering I had already located the showtimes. Even now you can order tickets for tomorrow nights 10PM showing of the movie. Copied and pasted from their own website:CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR(Rated PG13)5/25/2016 (Wednesday evening at 10:00p) Im not sure what happens if you actually order the movie. I assume there is some sort of refund process that you have to go through. Anyways, this was extremely disappointing and I will not be returning to this theater.
Watch the road construction on Preston got a ticket speed limit is 20
Such a fun experience. Just visiting the area-- nice surprise to find this quaint little theater experience.
Recently went there to see Turbo in the smaller theater.Being used to large seating it was nice to be in a 16-18 seat theater. Excellent seats, Great projector quality and brightness, and very good sound system. Additionally, well-priced food with friendly service. The lack of a star is due to a dirty theater. They told us we couldnt go in cause it was being cleaned and there was candy, spilt drink, and other trash on seats and aisles (cleaning).
Love it, feel like watching movie at luxury home. All atmosphere make me feel great.
Always a great place to get away
The cutest littlest thearte not too many people know about and to keep it that way, I wont go into detail.
Neat place
Koool
Nice theater with good prices but they are plagued by middle/high schoolers who texted, took photos, and refused to shut their mouths for the entire length of the film. Will not be coming here again
If you want really high end shops like Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga to name the few you will find it here. They also have restaurants as well. I really wish there were more shopping centers like this around, but then again it wouldnt be as special as this place. For a girl like me who cant afford multiple stuff from this center it was still nice to browse and walk around. Lots of stores to see and places to eat. Its defiantly a gem here in the Highland Park.
Cool theatre and they have some small theaters with cozy chairs that only seat 20 people or so.
Smaller theater in an odd location but good viewing experiences.
Great and cozy
Small, run down theater with weird service. Popcorn is available, but the butter dispenser was broken. I think I also got food poisoning here. Not recommended.
Love the new theater set up.
Super beautiful awesome stores and the movie theater was great.
Went on a movie and dinner date only to observe Popcorn fights, teens on their phones, unaccompanied children and lots of talking. Management needs to step up. It was hard to focus on the movie.
This is such a good theatre in a grand location. It certainly has great family films
Food was horrible seats worn out and they dont serve beer anymore. I came here 2 years ago and this place was awesome. Now its run down and the food seemed to be a few days old. Oh and did I mention the food was horrible.
Handsome looking theatre, but the girl selling tickets really didnt want to be bothered on Friday night...overall a good experience
Small theater with one screen having very comfortable couch chairs.
Nice place can shopping and restaurants
Great place to watch a movie
Love the small rooms, seats are good, good movie selection
Horrible management. We showed up for an 8pm movie at 5 til to find out that the movie had been moved to 7:30... despite the fact that all apps, the online website AND the screen behind the ticket counter still said 8pm. They apologized and said these things happen, but they dont - those things only happen when places are run incompetently. Their excuse was that a private party showed up - apparently without notice I guess? Likely wont ever go back - the Magnolia, Angelika and Inwood Theater are all better options.
The only issue was getting to it when youre not familiar with the area. It was a nice venue, friendly staff.
Me and my daughter went there dress casual nope no fancy stuff we were treated friendly
Love this place
Very comfortable seating.
Cold, uncomfortable chairs but good view overall
Wonderful theater with small rooms.
Very comfortable
Real cool place to watch a show
Parking is tricky. Movie selection is small. Seats recline, but dont stay there. But theres a bar!
I have never been there before so I dont know
Local convenience and luxury accommodations
Good
Fun girls night
Went on to see Hunter killer
Nice and spacious.
Cozy, good service, clean..
Excellent
Wonderful experience
Great experience
Wakanda forever
Fun place.
Great place to watch a movie
They got rid of the ice cream store!
Always a weak selection of films catering to anyone but the 18-40 male.
Small theater showing current movies
Everything is great
Tiny screen, tiny theater. I felt like I was on an airplane. Had to get a refund.
