Had a great time watching movie under the stars. There were not too many food offerings, only one food truck and concession stand. The food truck hit it out of the park. It was sliders but the burgers were pretty sizable and the quality equaled any respectable burger joint. The concession stand had the standard offerings of soda, water, popcorn, and candy. I saw some reviews from local residents about traffic issues caused by this venue. I didnt encounter any when we went so it seems they have corrected the issue.
The worst ran outfit around. Line for miles! Get there as early as possible. Not one person with a clue. You have to try REAL HARD to have more cars in line than watching the movie.I’ll never go again. Terribly ran. Seriously.....unreal.
Very nice atmosphere while following social distancing guidelines. Fun date night idea.
Great idea, feels old school. You can bring your own snacks but they have a small, decent option of snacks and 1 food truck. I’d advise to arrive an hour early. I’m here on a Friday got the best parking in the front near the restroom and snack bar. Cool date or fun with family.
This was absolutely awful experience! No sort of organization. We got there an hour early and still had to sit in the back.Traffic was direct poorly & the security was rude. There was literally no preparation as far as exiting the area goes. The previous set of cars from the earlier had absolutely NO room to leave. This caused so much chaos when it came to our set of cars who were arriving. We were waiting in line for 45 minutes only to be told by the security to loop back around so we can make room for moving traffic and we got put in the back of the line! Several cars had to do this over and over it’s almost pointless to go. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY..oh and they don’t offer refunds so don’t even waste your time
Aside from a small delay at the beginning because they had a hard time inflating the screen. However we took the kids to see Cars and were able to enjoy the show. For those who havent gone to a drive in, bring blankets, pillows, snacks, drinks, (or they have concessions and food trucks there) A side note, the car battery died but the staff there was ready and got us charged up in easily 30 seconds. Will be visiting again!
We had a great time here. It is a nice outing during a pandemic! Only thing I wish was there were more food options. Maybe get more food trucks to visit
The operators of this establishment have repeatedly blocked all access to N Carroll Ave from the 75 service road so that they can empty their lot faster when the movie is over. I understand that people want to go to a drive-in theater during this time, but it is irresponsible for the owners of this business to literally block access to local neighborhoods. Carroll Ave was not designed for commercial use, and this drive-in should not have been allowed to commence operations without making improvements allowing people to leave in a timely fashion without blocking traffic.UPDATE: In response to the reply from the business - there was no crash on the highway when I drove by. Traffic was moving swiftly on 75 and the service road, but they had blocked off access to Carroll from the service road. This is just blatant misinformation from the owners of this business.
They cancelled my showing, which is fine, and in the email said to reply for a refund. When I replied I got a message that it was a no reply email address. I went online to fund any contact I formation to request a refund and there us nothing. I just want my money back since the showing g was cancelled, it should bot be this hard.
Great sound quality, really nice people directing parking and didnt take long to leave! Awesome!
Came here to see Selena last night and had a great time! Very organized and the staff is very helpful. The radio broadcast was very clear and we had a great view in section A. We already have tickets to another showing.
We came to a sold out showing of Hocus Pocus on Halloween night and there was plenty of space between cars. Social distancing protocols were solid. Staff and parking were well organized. Will definitely return.
Great movie experience but the parking lot is terrible. Theres only one exit/entrance and there was no way for me to leave without bottoming out atleast a little. Some pot holes here and there are fine but having extreme ones blocking the exit is unacceptable. I drive a very average sedan to provide a frame of reference.
Such a fun outing during Covid! The were incredibly organized and made sure that everyone was following social distancing and mask guidelines. A perfect summer night activity!
Never attended, but I’m a resident across the street. It took me 15 minutes to enter my parking garage due to traffic. Unacceptable. Security couldn’t even get in and if there was an emergency they wouldn’t be able to help. This street is unable to hold that much traffic and the police were taking their sweet time to get both ends under control. I have messaged you via Instagram, emailed my apartment to complain & now this. I hope you change your traffic procedures before someone gets hurt.
Traffic coming in has Carroll and the service road blocked. Blocking entrances to the residents and apartments. Major emergency issue and traffic violation. If the attendants cannot accommodate vehicles in a timely fashion you must control traffic flow and stop taking vehicles. Parking Enforcment would have a field day and shut you down. Police on scene did nothing to aid traffic either. This is completely unacceptable. Also, making contact information on your site would make some sense- very unprofessional and unsafe
Movie start time was supposed to be 10pm but the movie didn’t start til 10:50, so we literally watched like 50min of repeated commercials while they got everyone in. We got there at 9:30 and experienced the long wait from the previous showing trying to get out. A suggestion, instead of 50min of repeated commercials maybe have a DJ (any person) showing music videos or something entertaining.
Such a cool idea. Super easy to get tickets and staff at the drive were really good with the directions of where we to park.
Very expensive for tiny screen. Trucks on either side of us had their lights on and staff put white towels over them which did NOTHING. Not pleasant environment.
Had great experience here everyone was friendly was very early about 30 mins which is a good choice because this place packs up fast but the workers are really good at directing cars and trucks in to spots was expecting a screen that was already put up but its blow up thought that pretty cool as i go to one here in oklahoma that is put up but i have to say the screen was much better than the one here thank you so much for the experience oh also make sure to have your phone charged and ready to scan a bar code to order food
The drive-in is so much fun! Skyline view and the staff has their system down pat.
Second time at this drive in. I LOVE IT HERE!! So nice to be able to enjoy a movie again. The staff is nice and helpful. Was here for the first movie they did (Grease) and Now we are watching “Hocus Pocus”
Zoooo weeeee mama!Had a blast with my friends. Nostalgic films and exceptional social distancing, will come again. Bring your masks!
A fun time and a bit of a throwback. Staff were great, helped keep everyone comfortable, and the movie started right on time.
A nice option for movie-going, but too expensive for what you get. Unless you have a car with 7 people, itll seem overpriced - and it is.
Cool place and atmosphere. nice view of downtown dallas in the background
Love this place! Made for a fun Halloween evening that’s socially distant.
Great vibe and fun covid friendly activity. Love the food trucks and vintage movie introduction
We ate near the area and were first in line an hour before our movie started. You are able to use restrooms while waiting. Keep in mind they are Porta potty’s, but are so clean! There is also hand sanitizer available in them. There is a sink on the outside which I had the hardest time using. There was a pizza food truck here, as well as a small snack station where sodas and candies are sold, very minimal. But I suggest bringing your own snacks snacks. Also this is an inflatable screen, so it’s not like a regular drive in. The commercials will give you all the drive in vibes tho. The movie hasn’t started, but I would definitely want to come back. Smart ideas during this pandemic. Don’t forget your masks!
Super excited to do something fun during COVID! It’s really spaced out so other cars don’t block you and they have cool movies playing :)
Paid 41.68$ for tickets. Showed up and show was canceled due to winds. Only refunded $38.18. How about giving me an entire refund. I know its only $3.50 but its the principle. Also make sure youre driving an SUV or car with clearance otherwise youll bottom out on alot of potholes/bumps.
We got here early and got amazing seats! I am very happy with our experience!
Had an amazing experience with such a beautiful view! Will definitely come again!
Horrible source of traffic and noise at all hours. Backs up traffic, makes entry into your residence excessively difficult. 0 thought given about cars, which for a drive in seems to be a bit of an oversight.
Great place very covid safe great social distancing protocol ! great movies !
Watched nightmare before christmas.Came on a date with the someone Im simply meant to be ️️Loved the experience. Had food trucks and the staff were attentive.
Its fun and exciting that Dallas finally has a Drive in movie theater. The employees are extremely nice and helpful.
I was trying to order pizza from the little guide they give you, turns out the truck is not even there. The order processed and now I need to ask the other place for the refund. Even though it says to please turn off lights for other guests, people infront of us had their back lights on. All in all had a bad experience while I was watching the movie. Great movie, too expensive to have these inconveniences. Next time Ill just drive to ennis tx.Update: They were very responsive and even though it took a while for the other pizza order to get refunded, I was satisfied with the help I got.
A fun little drive in, Covid protocol in place, great backdrop of uptown
Great Service!!! We loved the movie!! JURASSIC WORLD!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Favorite place ever!! great movie! so fun to go with friends!!
Awesome for girls night!!
Looks great. Hard to park/get it in though.
I went to go see The Silence of the Lambs last night and they ran out of power halfway through the movie. They said they would email us to give us a voucher for another movie or a full refund. Kind of lame, tbh.
Great experience!! Would definitely do this again!
Why is this place called Rooftop? Misleading name and sad first experience of a drive in for my kids.
Food options not as expected, show time is heavily delayed.
Need more food trucks but it was fun
Well-organized and so much fun!
Great service!! Super nice!!!
Really fun place.
Pretty nice and relaxing!
Super cute place!
I enjoyed the atmosphere
Great service and movie!!
Great fun!
Spent $60 on tickets for my friends and I to go and received an empty email this morning and when we arrived to our showing were told they had canceled itAnd sent an email (referring to the empty one) after I took my night off of work :/ no good
Very organized
Some of the parking attendants are rude
Very enjoyable!!
Finally a drive-in in Dallas!!
Fun!!!
Safe and fun activity during the pandemic.
