Experienced a great jazz set tonight! The Dirty Dozen Brass Band had everyone out of their seats and grooving to the sounds of New Orleans! Great experience, friendly staff, and they went the extra mile to ensure that everyone was safe during these unusual times.

It is sad to see the size of the orchestra and public so small. Still, the experience is superb. The musicians, the interpretation of the Nutcracker was spotless. Hopefully we will get over the unfounded fear of this virus and return to our normal lives.

What an amazing experience. First time here and in these covid times, found the staff to be super organized and friendly. The day of the dead presentation by the symphony and guest musicians was awe inspiring. My 11 year old came home to look up the saxophone player immediately. Great music, great experience, will visit again.

I came specifically for their Scheherazade performance. It was very beautiful and I was dazzled by the end violin solo. While the seats arent comfortable for taller individuals this is such a wonderful place and worth it. The public parking nearby isnt bad either actually and ran about 10 dollars. I will definitely be back.

The Christmas pops concert included a nice mix of old and newer Christmas compositions with just enough narration to give context to the selection. Next year Id expect a few repeats and a few new selections, if only to encourage a tradition. The large choir and various individuals had featured parts. There was audience participation as well. Amazing.

Beautiful structure, but a very outdated interior. The wayfinding is also difficult and weird. Needs a renovation. But the performance was impressive. The restrooms are woefully inadequate and the concessions were a little old school and not good.Valet was super easy.

I think symphony but hear opera and for the longest though the two were linked. A symphony online has music from an orchestra. The comedy symphony orchestra program we saw was hilarious and even more so because I wasnt expecting it to be! I cant believe Im just now exploring this option. Well, it did help that I was given four tickets and came with friends. Id definitely come again in the future!

Magical experience with great seating and a kind staff. Ive been going to Symphonies and opera for many years before coming here. Definitely a high class venue without the high class prices. Everything from the sound to the layout of the hall were nothing short of incredible. While downtown parking is nothing desirable Id say its worth it in this case. Made a long drive to get here and ended up in a car wreck making us late for the first showing thinking that all was lost. The lady at the counter let us reschedule our tickets for a couple days later, saving the show for us. This act of kindness will not be forgotten and is why I will always recommend this Symphony hall.

Having been both an audience member and performer, this Hall really is special. The acoustics are world class. From an opinion of someone who has a world class producers ear that is far better than mine, he prefers this hall to any other in North America, including over the likes of Carnegie.

Magnificent, overwhelming experience. New York born in 1971 Conductor Karina Canellakis is the Very Best and Prettiest leader of a Great Orchestra. 10/7/2017 update: The parking is $15 and thats the same price from 4 years so when I last went. Parking is off of Flora St. It can be difficult to find and get into if youre not familiar with the area so plan ahead before heading down.Im not really a symphony person but Ive gone to the Meyerson Center several times. We were season ticket holders for a few years until the kids grew up and were involved with extracurricular activities.I will say the seats are all good however, we especially love the terrace area. Even though weve heard people and friends say they dont care too much for the terrace area. We love it because our children got to be up close to the symphony. I think the complaint people have about the terrace is the sound, maybe they want to hear the sound carry and project into the audience but for me, we loved being able to see the faces of the musicians. The DSO is awesome and we loved supporting them. The design is awesome and the place is simply beautiful!

Was absolutely beautiful. I loved it so much. The place felt very formal, and it had a feeling of grace. The staff was very professional and helpful. The orchestra was amazing definitely one of the best I have ever heard. There wasn’t a single mistake made, and I had no issues with anything. The building is awesome. Lawrence Loh was a great conductor, though his humor is a bit cringe worthy. The gift shop isn’t pricey whatsoever and I thought that was great. The bartender was very polite and patient with us. I want to come again and again.

I bought my ticket and was unable to go due to last minute business trip. I emailed them two days prior to the event asking for a refund. They said they dont give refunds. That my options are either donate my tickets, or pay an additional $15 to use it for a future event. There website does not show anything at all bout their policy, I thoroughly looked. Whats crazy is that when I emailed them where the policy was they said on the ticket..On the same ticket I purchased. So I have to buy the ticket in order to see on the ticket that I cant get a refund. Does that make sense? This was about to be my first time see the Dallas symphony orchestra and now I dont plan on ever going. Im letting everyone know also on their Policy that happens to only be on tickets your purchase.Update 01/27/2020They let me exchange my ticket for a different showing05/02/2020Tickets purchased was not refunded to me since showing was cancelled. Emailed many times and no response.

Ive visited the Meyerson Symphony Center and each time was magical. A must do of your ever in Dallas. The ambience takes you back in time. The organ is without a doubt a masterpiece of craftsmanship. With about 4,500 pipes the effects and sounds to experience will be unforgettable. The performance of the DSO is as usual excellent. But the absolute best part of visiting The MSC is the experience. I took my daughter to see the DSO and preparing at home wearing our best clothes, my daughter putting on makeup and seeing her act so refined was really the best part of the evening. Its a kind of magic that you can only get by going to the symphony.
