Love the parks, but hate the new online reservation system. You can no longer search statewide for available campsites and filter your search. With the new system, if you would like to camp at a waterfront site, you need to search each parks availability individually and use each campground map to determine whether available sites are waterfront. It renders the entire system useless for people who are flexible about which park they visit or are searching for specific campground features or amenities.

While we used to love going to SC State Parks the recent updates they have done online along with policy changes of charging more when you book a discounted and decide you want to transfer to a different site in the same park on the same day has left me with not wanting to visit them again. Not to mention the hassle it is to use an old gift card. Rangers also dont know how to use the new system in the parks.

Horrible reservation system. Why did you drop Reserve America? You offer great deals on Black Friday but they are worthless if you dont have a system that can take advantage of the deals. You need to get your act together on the IT front and either bring in people who know what they are doing or go back to Reserve America.

Made ugly by the people of the state.
