Beautiful Garden convenient to downtown.

Rude staff and cheaply decorated rooms. Not worth the price I paid and don’t get me started on that dump of a town! I thought I may be car jacked on every backroad! If you are going to the cavern and you are looking for a nice hotel with fine dining? This isn’t it!

This is a beautiful and well-maintained property. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the property and the stories of the people who lived there. She was very passionate about the subject and pleasantly engaging with the tour group. Highly recommend for an educating and entertaining view of Columbia history

Lovely time at the Lemonade II event

Hampton-Preston has a lot of crazy history behind it. Historic Columbia puts on a fantastic tour that emphasizes the enslaved people of the property. They were very well versed in the history of the property and provided a lot of fun information that I wont give away cause you need to go on your own and listen to them. The property itself is beautiful and I dont doubt that if youre into history its a great place to visit.

Excellent docent information complements what youll see in the mansion. Gardens are improving with funding to restore their glory.

Would loved to have toured but on the weekend in the middle of posted hours of operation the place was locked up tight. I was disappointed.

A beautifully restored glimpse into pre - Civil War Columbia. This house was spared when the city burned. Its architecture and period rooms give visitors a unique window into history.

The Christmas candle-light tour was well-done and very informative. Its a beautiful house. The historical society has done a great job of preservation and upkeep for future generations. The gardens have always been interesting to me, too.
