Nice local park you can walk the 1 mile loop around the lake, a small playground for kids, picnic area, and of course catch and release fishing. Clean restrooms available in Season.

Awesome little trail around a beautiful lake! Trail gets pretty muddy and slick if it rains, but other than a few ups and downs the trail is rather easy. There are a few grills and a pavilion for cookouts. There are signs posted saying no dogs though.

Nice park short distance from the house easy to moderate trail. The 4 year old had no issues on it and a max of 130’ elevation climb. Total distance was about 1.55 miles that is with us detouring on some side trails to get closer to the water.

Nice place to take an afternoon hike! Parts are hilly to work the legs! Some parts are muddy after rain even a few days after. Trail is about one mile and they mark every quarter mile. They have plenty of picnic tables to eat at, a few bbqs and even bathrooms. There is a small scenic view trail you can walk to, its not long.

More hills than expected, and a little slippery in places. Although My wife managed to hike the whole thing in sandals so its not that bad.

Caught nice size bass threw out the years of going on. I love the place. But there one thing I hate the most. There are so many people coming there to fish. And there are so many trees down in the lake. I lost so much money in there. You guys fixed the trail so why not clean out the lake also.. then us ffshermen would very happy with yall!

Please don’t go there our family rented out the pavilion n while at our granddaughters birthday party someone actually had the nerve to break into our cars n rob us they busted our windows n crawled in our windows n stoled our purses how sad is that and absolutely no cameras police were called but they probably won’t find the people who did this to us costing everyone lots of money n heartache n yes we shouldn’t have left our pocketbooks in our cars lesson learned but they weren’t out in the open next time we will save the 35 dollars n lots of heartache n have it some where safe

Featured in lancasteronline as 1 of the 10 best places to walk/hike. Its a loop thats about a mile long. Its not a flat area as there are some sections with a slight elevation. Nice views. Fishing is allowed but note that you need a license to fish on PA. Parking is available. In addition, there are benches to sit. There are even pavilions with grills to rent. Restrooms are available during the week. Open from dusk through dawn.

Nice little park, we visited to geocache. The trail could use some work rocks or something as it was extremely muddy we frequent alot of small parks in all different states and counties and have never seen one with the trails being that muddy however given its very old trees and moist nature being around a lake I guess its expected. If you love old trees fishing and walking this is a good place to visit.

A beautiful, tucked-away park including multiple large pavilions and picnic tables, outdoor grills, benches, a large and spacious playground, and a mile long, easy trail around the former mine turned picturesque lake. Benches and off-shoot trails for fishing can be found along the trail for enjoying the views and further exploring.

If they are managing and developing the lake for fishing then kayaks should be allowed for fishing. Otherwise quit wasting tax dollars and let it just be a whole in the ground for people to walk around.
