Have been coming here for years, don’t know if we just came at the wrong time of the year but there wasn’t much to see. There used to be displays of soldiers uniforms, old artifacts, steam engines. There was also a dollhouse fully furnished and lighted. Loved seeing that as a little girl every time I came! Very disappointed on the inside. Loved all the out buildings especially the Easley Store!
We recently joined and toured the museum. It is an interesting museum for locals and for folks from out of town. We were impressed with the displays. We are excited to learn more and to participate in special events.
After being involved with the Boone History and Culture Center for years as part of the trust. Getting more involved in volunteering with the glass plate project and current exhibits has been very rewarding. I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful organization as it continues to grow and flourish.
My son was here for the heart of America marathon. Nice big place all the runners and supporters. Has historical house and store with lots of antiques. And the workers very nice and knowledgeable.
The Boone County History and Culture Center is an absolute treasure in Boone County! Ive been actively involved with BCHS for the past five years. Ive learned so much and enjoyed numerous programs and events connecting Boone County art, history, music, and culture. Theres something great going on every week!Local history matters: It is the story of us.
Current art installation is amazing!
A lot of interesting things to see and a beautiful site. If you are new to the area they will also give you information for other places to visit in town.
Great space with wonderful volunteers, interesting exhibitions with so much history on show
BCHCC has come a long way in the last few years thanks to the great leadership of its director. Wonderful exhibits, art gallery, musical performances, and easy parking make this a must destination in Columbia, especially for those who call Boone County home.
A fascinating place to learn about the history and famous people from Boone County, and Columbia, Missouri. I try to visit monthly to see the new displays. There is also an on-site record of the local census since the area has been settled.
If your family is from Boone County Missouri and want to know more, this is the place to go for books on your ancestors. A day in the life of the pioneer women is a room displaying that gives great insight. Blind Boones beautiful piano is in the back surrounded by pictures of Boone county nature. It is a definite must see for your history.
Great host! Thanks Ryan.
Unique, changing exhibits of artwork, local history, and images from a half-million image archive of local photography. Worth frequent visits to see whats on display now!
This is a super cool place. There us great trails and wonderful locations for picnics. There is also a cute little art gallery in the main building. Wonderfulnplace to hang out on any day.

The park is beautiful, with a picturesque lake and lots of trees and shaded areas. There are lots of historical buildings on the property to check out and the museum itself has some pretty interesting displays.
Wonderful place to see local history and artifacts as well as art exhibits.
Great venue, museum and history. Nicely placed historic buildings set along a short looping trail close to town.
