I’m going to give this establishment 3 stars because I know they can do better than what we experienced the other night. When I saw that the movie theatre was back open, I was SUPER EXCITED! We decided to catch a 10:25 showing of Unhinged. Social distancing was fine, however the theatre was dirty. I’m not sure why the theatre was not cleaned before we came in there. I’m not sure if maybe they thought we wouldn’t mind but we didn’t even get to sit in the seat we picked because there was food in the seats. Trash was everywhere on majority of the row. Online, it’s advertised that things will be wiped down and sanitized, but looking at all the trash, I know for sure that’s not happening. I could understand if they were busy but there were only 5 people in the theatre including the 2 of us, so that’s unacceptable. If you’re gonna open back up, at least keep it clean.
It was peaceful. I dont like crowded theaters anyway so this was perfect for covid-19. Mask are required to enter. You may only take them off if you was eating snacks.
Definitely feels a little apocalyptic with the social distance measures, but thats the only reason I felt comfortable going in.
Nice theater and great staff. Smaller crowds and comfortable assigned reclining seats!
I usually love love, united artist because its not crowded. Its closer to my house and all the employees are the best, but this time i went to go see a movie. The sound was not on, we had to tell am employee about it and then it was extremely HOT!! I let a gentleman know and it was still extremely hot, then 15 minutes before the movie ended they turned on the lights while the movie was still going. Again staff is great, but all this needs to be brought to someones attention.
Amazing, clean theater! Im new to the area, but wanted to see my daughter who is currently performing in The Met Operas production of Porgy and Bess and this was the closest theater showing the Metropolitan Opera Live Streaming and their replays. I was happily surprised!
Comfortable theater. Being able to buy my tickets with the Regal app is my favorite part. I think it also helps with the concession line as Ive been here on opening weekends for big name movies and the concession lines are never as bad as other theaters.
Perfect way to spend my birthday.
Best theatre in Columbia, reclining seats, other have them but theirs recline further, seems a small thing until you have to sit in them for 3 hours. Food is also much better quality and very fresh. First class, feel like Im in my own theatre room. HIghly recommended.
I love this theater. All seats are assigned at purchase, and theres nothing better than knowing where youre going to sit ahead of time. Theres no pressure to get there in time to find a seat. Which happens to be especially good because my only gripe would be that their concession lines seem to move slowly. The theater is clean and modern.
The theater is clean. The concession lines however are out the door and this is not the first time this has happened. They cant serve their customers in a timely manner. Easy fix, bring your own snacks and have them miss out on movie theaters LARGEST SOURCE OF REVENUE.
This used to be my favorite movie theatre in the area. Went last night to see 1917 and the whole place was disgusting. Right as you walked in the lobby the entire floor was covered in popcorn, the straws were soaked in butter, and there was trash all over the theatre. Ive never seen a theatre lobby this filthy. Looks like it had 2 weeks worth of popcorn on the floor. Was quite surprised...The line to get food also took half an hour. Will be going to AMC Columbia to see a movie next time.
We saw 1917. A powerful movie with plenty of action. The characters are realistic, and the story is gripping. We have not been to a movie in a long time, and we were astonished at the cost of two sodas and a bag of popcorn. This afternoon of entertainment almost broke our bank. However, the movie was worth it.
Longest wait for popcorn at any theater ever. At least 15 min and haven’t made half the line. They know how many movies are playing and what their attendance is like so can plan to have more employees at peak times. What a disaster. To top it off the people taking your order have to make a long trip to get the food for each customer. The movie Itself is ok and seats are great and recline nice. The sound is good and not as loud as other theaters. Just right.
This was our go to theater, however last night we waited 30 minutes after we placed our order for our food, making us late to the movie (lines were 4-5 people deep- it was not crowded which is normally what I like about this theater). Of course we were anxious to get the movie at that point, and didn’t realize the food was cold so it had clearly been sitting that whole time. When we called customer service today, they told us they would not refund the food, give any sort of credit, or in any other way help make it right.
My wife and I attended the 3:20 showing of Skywalker. Good movie. However, the house could have done a better job of delivering the entertainment. 1. Tickets were only available for purchase if you went on line, or if you stood in line behind those buying food...quite time consuming.2. The theatre was freezing. Did they not pay the bill?
I come here once a week for years and lately the concession line is always way understaffed. Ive been in line for 30 minutes as I write this....my movie started 10 minutes ago....thank God for reserved seating! Come very early if you want snacks, or better yet, bring your own!
Very clean. Enjoyed the reclining seats. Box office kiosk was easy to use. Of course the concessions are super expensive, but thats to be expected. Will return if Im in the area again!
Always a nice place to see a movie. Get the seats that you want, in a peaceful atmosphere and they are comfy recliners. What else could you all for?
Seats were clean but that was about it. Front area is very dirty and there is very organization. It took us over 20 minutes just to order and there was only 1 person in front of us. Once I ordered they gave me a soda that was watered down. It was very obvious from the color then it took them 2 more times to get...a soda correct. As I finally went to my movie 20 minutes late I saw that the line was out the door. Dont recommend unless there is a change in management and/or staff.
Ridiculously understaffed, long line for concessions at 4:45 on a Saturday (and it was longer when I left). Had to either purchase tickets online (includes convenience fee) or at a kiosk in the lobby -- no human staff at the ticket window, and cant get tickets at concessions.Seats were pretty comfy, though, and staff were very courteous.
This is my familys go to movie theater - best in the area. If it werent for the long, slow concession lines, I would easily change my review to 4+ stars...Update: Unfortunately the concession lines are still very long. Also, we saw JoJo Rabbit in auditorium 3 tonight, and there was some distortion on the screen which made everything in the center look blue.
Not too crowded. And they have the lounge type chairs even in the small theaters. They have a new program for unlimited movies for $21/month from Regal. 8 dollars for medium popcorn and 6 for medium 44 oz drink.
It was good. The sets recline but the arm rest did not flip up in the theater we were in. I felt distant from the person i went with. But all in all it was good.
This is a nicely designed theater. But the staff or technology proved to be incompetent. A 2:30 movie on Christmas did not start until after 3:00 and a half hour of a blank screen with no trailers due to a “picture issue”. Then the sound cut off with about two minutes left of dramatic music and the final scene at the end of Knives Out. No apologies or compensation offered.
We love this theater! Super comfortable recliner seats. Delicious popcorn, always fresh. Customer service could be better.
My girlfriend and I always like coming to this theater. The staff is friendly, relaxing chairs are comfortable enough to fall asleep in and its clean. The food is over priced. But thats to be expected at all movie theaters. But lots of screens to see multiple showings. Well definitely be back.
The theater is great Love the stadium seating. What was terrible was the snack bar. Every line had 10 people in it and it took almost 30 minutes to get popcorn.
Nice and spacious movie theatre. Staff has always been nice and accommodating.
I am presently sitting inside a theater at United Artists Snowden Square in Columbia Maryland. All of the house lights are turned on. The screen is blank. It is 1:10 pm. The movie was scheduled to start at 12:45 pm. Management claims that despite tickets being sold online and in person at the concession counter, there was a belief that the moviegoers were not going to arrive so they failed to start the usual previews and/or movie on time. Other moviegoers and I are still waiting. So disappointing and unprofessional. Some one did just pop their head in (at 1:17pm) and apologize for the inconvenience and has offered free passes to be available to us when we leave. As if I plan on returning any time soon, if ever, to this theater. 1:21pm: Lights turned down and still waiting for the movie to begin. Unbelievable!!!!!UPDATE: Now at 1:30pm we were just told that the movie will NOT be shown afterall because of technical difficulties related to an expired key card?? Again offers of refunds and Passes have been made. Wish the last 45 minutes of time just WASTED could be restored. Not acceptable. One positive: the Passes that were provided today after the moviegoing mishap are thankfully able to be used at ANY Regal location and I did receive two of them. I will give another Regal Theater location a try sometime.
I LOVE this theater and general don’t go anywhere else. Unfortunately, the food line has gotten out of control. I’m fairly certain the extensive menu options result in EXTREMELY SLOW moving lines. It’s fine if you are queuing for “actual” food choices. We buy popcorn and a drink, which generally takes 15 to 20 minutes. I propose a drink/popcorn only STAND or kiosk. This would separate the different types of orders.
Got to the theater on Monday 15 minutes before show time and our ticket line, which was at the concession stand, didn’t move for 15 minutes. Difficulty with payment from some someone upfront. All I wanted was a tix. Not enough people working with Columbia out of school today. Then the line moved like a snail. Would have missed start of movie so I didn’t stay. How do you not know schools are out and not staff properly.
Very clean, great staff, fast service
Under staffed and dirty. If they had more staff it wouldnt be so dirty. Trash all over the floors.
ALL the seats in this theater are recliners, and they are hella cozy! The people that work here are friendly, and they have a pretty decent menu for a movie theater -- beyond the classic popcorn-and-candy fare. They even have a spicy chicken sandwich with fries (etc.). Enjoyable experience!
Great experience except when ordering cooked food. Prices are outrageous and service for these overpriced items is poor! Not an over exaggeration, a regular sized hot dog is priced $6 and takes 13 min to procure.
Tuesday night ! It was a wonderful time to go. Very few people in the theater. Plenty of seating, the line to the concession stand was non existent. It was great. I would highly recommend going during the week. It makes going to the movies such a better experience. The seats recline and the popcorn was warm. Cant ask for a better experience.
We just came to watch Last Christmas. In aud #9, seats G11&12 and they aren’t reclining. We would go ask about switching seats but there are 3 employees behind the concession stand with a lobby full of long lines and no supervisor in sight. So we also didn’t get popcorn since the lines were outrageous. The seats are at least comfy even if they don’t recline.
Reserved seating fine, costs of snacks prohibitively overpriced for some. How much greed suffices?!
The theater doesnt look like much on the outside. In fact, it doesnt look very impressive on the inside either. The concessions stand and the hallways arent impressive. The theater is clean and well maintained but old. BUT, you will be impressed when you go inside of your theater to watch your movie (at the end of the day, thats the only part that matters). The theaters were remodeled a few years ago so you can enjoy large, comfortable seats. The seats are leather (or pleather?) and they recline! At the push of a button you can lay back and a nice leg rest will pop out. You get large armrests and cup holders. The theater is so clean that you will feel like you are sitting on your grandpas recliner at home. The big plus are their prices during off-peak hours. I usually come here during the day (even on the weekends) because the theater is empty and the prices are much lower. However, their prime-time showings also have very reasonable prices. Its true that there is another theater at the Mall of Columbia, but there really isnt a point going there.Edit: I forgot to mention, when you purchase a ticket you get to chose which seats you want. That way you know which seat you will get and you can avoid the awkward moment when you search for an empty seat in any other theater.
This is a great movie theater! I love the auditoriums and lobby area. The auditoriums are usually very clean and comfortable, especially with the bigger, reclining seats! Its always an amazing experience coming here and watching a movie. Everyone is really nice and the displays are set up very invitingly. I look forward to many more trips here!
Nice reclining sofa seats
Easily the worst concession experience Ive ever had... Anywhere. The wait was 45 minutes, and this was for a pre-planned event where everyone RSVPd ahead of time, so the number of customers was known weeks in advance. My reclining chair was busted, as well. I missed 30 minutes of movie getting kids snacks.
Great, watch Wilder Fury 2 outcome was not to my liking but a good night
Haven’t been here in a while and I have to say I’m more than little disappointed with me recent visit. The concessions area looked very unkept, displays were practically empty and there was popcorn all over the floor the entire length of the the counter.I used the restroom in the lobby area to find that only one urinal was working, one of the two stalls was filthy beyond use and the second stalls door was broken. After leaving the restroom I continued to see popcorn strewn all over the floor throughout the hallway. The best way I can explain it would be that it almost appears as if the place was about to go out of business.
I love this theater the seats are comfy but now been months since they fixed there soda machine the soda has no fizz if I spend 10$ on a soda with so fizz Ive waited and tried again this is at least 4 months Ive gotten 3 completely flat sodas
For a weekday movie night this place was extraordinary. Brought the kids to see the smurf movie and they loved it. Not to crowded which meant speedy service and quiet theatre. There was only 2 other people in there with us.Chairs were comfy and quite clean. Floor was clean also and the whole place smelled rather clean considering people eat and make messes in there often. It was also my first time in a movie theatre where the seats reclined so I was mesmerized by that all together.
The staff did NOT acknowledge my husband and I when we walked in the door. The guys were all grouped together in a corner behind the counter talking and laughing as if we werent even there. One guy walked away from the group we thought he was coming to help us but he walked right passed us and began putting away empty snack boxes. Finally after 5 minutes of ignoring us the guy claiming to be the manager asked if we needed to be helped. I wrote thier corporate office about it but the response was minimal its no surprise the place seemed like a ghost town when we visited this they have the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
Always clean. Super comfortable chairs and all menu items fresh. Staff is always respectful and friendly
My favorite theater in Columbia area. The seats are very comfortable and they recline for comfort. The only thing missing is heated seats so bring a blanket if you get cold. Otherwise, a great movie venue.
Very nice theater comfortable seats. Only thing is the movie started almost 20 min late then what it was scheduled
This is the nicer theater between this and the nearby Hoyts. Its slightly nicer than the AMC on Columbia.Assigned seating in nice seats, friendly, clean. If you need to see a movie in and around Columbia, try to see it here.
Great theater. Clean, good seating, plenty of parking, and dont have to deal with mall traffic.
My favorite theater. Not in the middle of a shopping center so you are not competing for parking with other stores. Assigned recliner seats so no rush to get there early.Use the Regal app to choose and buy seats in advance
We went there for a Sunday matinee showing of Bohemian Rhapsody. It might have been due to the fact that the movie has been out a for so long, but even with the stadium style seating the early afternoon showing wasnt completely sold out. Ive also come to consider this my go to during the busiest times for new movies since its hidden behind a shopping center and it doesnt get the foot traffic that mall theatres get.The theater and restrooms were both clean and obviously well maintained. The screen and sound system did not appear aged or worn down as they are in some of the other older theaters in the area. They have many refreshment options and the staff is friendly, which led to a very good experience overall.
Theater facilities are very nice, but the concession lines are long and slow.
A great place to see a movie. Stadium seating is a plus. Reserved seating too. Large house space so plenty of seats as opposed to the smaller theaters. They also offer more showtimes than other smaller places. Easy to get in and out of. Plenty of parking. Clean and well kept.
This is my favorite theater in the area. I almost want to write a terrible review so people won’t overcrowd the place, but that’s honestly not an issue with the seating they have. The theater can be sold out and you won’t feel crowded.
Odd location and somewhat hidden but once inside everything is great. Nice, comfortable seats, great screens, and sound.
Recliner seats, clean theater, and attentive smiling staff! We love this theater!
This was our first time going here in awhile and we were very happy with the addition of the reclining seats. My 13 year old daughter thought that was the coolest thing. Weve been going to the mall movie theaters, but I think this will be our movie theater of choice for now on in Columbia. Im not sure if the reclining seats are in all the theaters, but we choose the big one for the new release and it was great. Highly recommend this place. Also, they had Cheetos/Popcorn, which my daughter still asks about.
I really like this movie theater. Its not over crowded with a bunch of teenagers.
I managed a cinema complex in Australia for a few years. This cinema is clean, well-managed, and secure. The lines move quickly, the popcorn is fresh, and best of all...EVERY SEAT IS A RECLINER. Why are you still reading this review - GO THERE NOW!
This theater has a lot of great staff. The amenities are great, however if there are a lot of popular movies and a lot of people, then the concessions line will be rammed. Even so, the way I have been treated and the way the people I have gone with have been treated, its a great place. Their theaters are always kept nice and clean.
Our favorite movie theater. They could fix the concession lines during busy times but always a way better choice than the mall theater.
Professional staff and great manager. Love this place!!!
Great movie theater!Only ... the outside box office hasnt been used when we have visited. People purchasing tickets at the concessions windows slows down the concessions-purchasing process.
Comfortable reclining seats, reasonable matinée prices. Like all theatres, refreshments are ridiculously pricey, but the theatres themselves and the bathrooms are cleaned and maintained better than other places.
It had been ages since I had been to this theater. I went to a noon screening of the Avengers Endgame on its opening Friday. It probably was the THE first showing of the day but I was amazed at how dirty the floors were. Doesn’t seem like they make that a priority. But that isn’t why I came. The theaters are all outfitted with nice leather recliners. The picture and sound were “fine.” Pretty average yet dirty theater.
Love seeing movies here. Friendly staff, always clean.
Good facility. Ok good service, excellent ticket taker!
I waited over 20 mins in a concessions line for an $8 soda and missed the beginning of my movie. There were 4 lines and probably about 2 times that number of people working behind the counter. Completely unacceptable wait time for movie snacks. Make sure to smuggle your own in instead.Chairs are very comfortable, screen was ok, sound was good.
Seats are comfortable, but the audio was too low and they never turned the overhead lights off during the movie. I should say that this is my favorite theater, so it was quite disappointing.
Who decided to sell tickets at the concession stand? Waited in line for tickets this evening for a 720 movie. After 15 minutes of not moving at all, I left the theater. AMC will now get my attendance.
Love the reclining seats that you reserve in advance (yes, there really are still some theatre chains that dont offer this!). Service is always friendly & helpful. Refreshments are not the best so gave 4 stars instead of 5 - but its a theatre, not a restaurant. Enjoy the show!
We go there most times, but they really need a new system for concession stand lines its terrible, and ticket taking, its a guy blending in with customers, no small podium or anything, its confusing, Regal can do better, adopt some techniques from other Regals, but seating in movies is fine.
Clean movie theatre with plenty of parking in front. Comfortable seats. Popcorn was too salty.
Wow the reserved seats were crazy comfortable. That is the only way to see a movie. Huge, spacious and cup holders, what else do you need? sound was just right and the commercials not tool plentiful. Food good.
Lots of parking on a Sunday afternoon in a relatively quiet area. The theatre is clean and the staff is very friendly. The power reclining seats...oh boy what a treat!!! And so much walking space in front of the rows. Price for matinee was spectacular. I will certainly return!
Poorest customer service at the counter. Waited 40 minutes in-line to get tickets and popcorn which made us late to the movie. Numerous people complained to the manager when he showed himself but he just said you needed to come earlier. I even finally used my phone to go online and pay for the tickets to make it faster but still had to wait for drinks and popcorn. Very bad experience. Never had this happen before at any theater.
This was the most disgusting and nastiest movie theater Ive ever been to in my life. I didnt even want to use the public restrooms. The food and the customer service was great but the cleanliness was not
Family night out was a blast. The facility is always clean, and the customer service is great! I had and issue a few months back. I spoke with a manager and my issue was resolved promptly. Love this place for family outings.
The physical experience of the theater is fine, but today is the last time Ill go there or probably any other Regal Cinemas. They have all reserved seating, and apparently a new corporate policy that unless you sign up for their loyalty card and hand over your personal information you are only allowed to sit in the very front row of the theater. You wont be allowed to reserve a seat in a reasonable location even for a higher ticket cost unless you let them track your visits.
The seat alone make this place awesome. Electric recliners for everyone. You get assigned seating you can pick when buying the ticket.
It was spaced out very well.
This is my go to theater as it is usually less crowded than others in the area. It is a nice location with redesigned seating and updated theaters.
Love the reclining seats. Service was extremely slow at the concession stand.
An ice cold slurpy, crisp as the mountain air. Perfect companion for a horror flick. The drink of Kings.
Seats are spacious and recline, no need to fight for seats because of reserved seating
The theaters are *DISGUSTING*, there was nacho cheese all over the walls. Popcorn and trash everywhere, oh and the staff were completely incompetent. We were seated for our movie before the theater was cleaned and were unable to watch the trailers because floodlights were turned on and the cleaning crew were in the theater. Save yourself and go to a different theater.
Reclining seats! Also its clean and well maintained
Our Jan 2020 visit to RUA was a disaster. The kiosk was down and the main ticket window was closed causing all tickets to be purchased at the concession counter. It was so busy. Our movie started at 6pm.....we arrived at 5:25 and still didnt get seated until 6:12. Oh and the food was new! Popcorn was horrible and tough....how do you mess up popcorn.
Nice theater. Really comfortable seats that recline all the way back. Never too crowded or overrun with kids.
There is one kiosk to purchase tickets. The 2nd one is shut down and there is no ticket selling at the window. There are 3 lines for food...all a mile long. How hard is it? There are like 20 items on the menu. Friday night at 7pm...I guess they are SURPRISED people are here to see a movie.
Nice theater, but the heat came on during the movie and it was about 90 degrees in the theater.
