This was a really fun way to celebrate my 23rd birthday with my friends! I did the silver package with 1 round of mini golf and 1 round of laser tag. My time slot was 8:30-10:30 but since there wasn’t another party after us, they allowed us to keep the room till close which was around 12am. After laser tag and mini golf we chilled in the room drinking, talking, singing happy birthday, cake cutting, and flicking it up . If you do an adult party you can BYOB at no charge or extra fee!! It was perfect! Everyone had so much fun and kept saying they wanted to do something like this for their own birthday. Seems like I’ve started a trend . I added on the catered pizza from Bella Mia which was really good! I didn’t want the hassle of bringing my own cake so I went with the catered ice cream cake too . I just wanted to show up and have a good time with no extra hassle! They also allowed me to enter the room a few minutes early to do some quick decorating. Shadowland Columbia and the staff there made planning so easy and the night went smoothly too! Special s/o to Chris. He’s a true MVP. 10/10 recommend! Thank you so much !

We attended a birthday party there. The kids had a great time. The party room was really small. Not enough space to accommodate the parents and kids in the room. Other than that the staff was great and we would go back again!!!

The glow golf course was beautifully themed and maintained. It is only 12 holes. It was a great indoor activity.

Took my daughter and some friends for her birthday. Her gun didnt work. They told us it was switched for the second game but it still didnt work. When I complained they said she should have said something during the game. Theyre kids... No apologies, no refund, nothing. Wont be coming back.

Excellent food with a great atmosphere, the games are all fun and the employees understand what would make the game enjoyable. You start to get really tired after 2 games so I would only do more than 2 if youre in shape. Definately fun for friends and family.

Shadowland has the best laser tag!!! Its not too expensive, especially if you go on Friday night. Be prepared to take off a layer or two between games. They dont mind if you bring in outside food, too!

Just had the most AMAZING experience at ShadowLand! For our summer school program, we go on 1 fun field trip a week and laser tag was highly anticipated. This location did not disappoint! The staff were patient, kind, and went above and beyond what we asked. Our students, and teachers, had a ton of fun! We can’t wait to come back!!

So much fun! and many things to do, good pizza, and the happy hour special on fridays is more than amazing. 3 games for 3 people for a very good price.

We arrived early but the staff didnt seem overly excited to have us early. The kids had a good time and the arcades were great but the customer service wasnt stellar by any means.

Great location to bring family friends and the Kids! In January they added a Glow Mini Golf section to the building.

My kids loved playing here when they were in elementary school. 10 years later theyre still meeting friends and having fun here.

Plenty of space to accommodate a party of 125+ kids celebrating a graduation! Kids werent on top of each other and spread out between the seating area, arcade, glow mini golf, and laser tag. The staff was plentiful and extremely patient. Thanks so much!

Shadowland in Columbia is awesome!!! They were so nice. I bought an all day pass for my 7yr. old for $22 and unfortunately a couple of hours of the day nobody was there for him to play with. So, they let us play several rounds of golf AND let me play laser tag with him for free! Worth every penny. SO much fun!

We always have a great time here playing laser tag. I find around 10 players to be the sweet spot. With too many players it becomes too chaotic. Very friendly staff and the wait time is usually short.

Lazer tag was great. However, had a few issues with the cake and the utensils. The cake which is displayed as being able to write the name and happy birthday for the child wasnt applicable. In the future if the cake says it can be marked up it should say on the site. Service was a bit middling but workable. Just better service and advertising of the deals for next time should be told up front for the customer.

Kalissa was our hostess and was very good. She was very energetic despite how late it was and engaged with my group very well. She also put up with us being loud and obnoxious so 10/10 on that. I created an account just to review her and the place. We will be coming back often

If I could give no stars to write a review I would. The staff is very u professional, rude and racist. I came to this place with my 13yr old son and my brother. I was told it would take 15mins for them to start a laser tag game. Once the game started my brother and son were turned away, even though we were here first and was advised they could not be apart of the game because it was a party, then the manager came over to apologize and advise in the nxt 15mins they would be apart of the nxt game, so I stayed only for my sons sake, but trust I was ready to go, then 15 mins later another game started and again they were turned away advised again that after the party they could play the nxt game, which would just be the two of them. Why would they want to play laser tag with just the two of them. I will never go to this place again, I feel that the caucasian people were able to just come into the place with out waiting and were able to be assisted, and because my family is African American the wait was over a hour.

I’ve been here for many birthday parties and every time I go here I always leave the building satisfied.

Family had an absolute blast here. They often have coupons and email deals that offset the rather high price so look for those. The arena is fun but does get kind of boring after a couple matches. I dont think the layout has changed in quite some time, or ever if I recall.

This place is freaking awesome, man. The laser tag is the best experience ive ever had. Theres so many cool additions to the game that gives it a much more interesting feel. Big events are awesome here, but so is just a small group of friends.

10/10 very fun. The best employee was kalyssa. She helped us when we wanted to be on the same team even though we had a full arena. Very patient and good customer service skills.

Love this place, some friends and I go fairly regularly. The prices are great, especially if you bring a group. In addition to the laser tag arena, they have an arcade, a mini golf course, dining areas, and private party rooms. This place is a great choice for an affordable fun day out with friends and family.

If you want to become the best friend of many people, invite them here. Most fun Ive had in years! I would recommend 6-8 people per game.

It was our first laser tag experience. The kids enjoyed themselves. Great idea for birthday parties, play dates, family night or hang out. Prices were affordable. Snacks are served for around $1-$8. Competitive but fun. All participants leave with a score sheet.

Went here for a little cousins birthday, hard to find. Walked in, place looks cozy and fun. The price is a little high, the equipments uncomfortable and old, and one of the employees spoke strange (when he was explaining the rules, my family and I were like What the hell did this guy just say?). Honestly, I wouldnt mind coming back since it was overall fun.

We had so much fun! The staff did a great job of wrangling all of us, showing us how the equipment worked, and making sure we had a good time. I think we loved the zombies mission best. This is a great daddy/daughter date night spot.

Super fun laser tag place! Yes it is at the end of an industrial/commercial building but it is a great place. Awesome real décor (really adds to the experience) and you get a real work out

Shadowland is great for a night out with friends or for a great outing for the kids. The staff can goof around at times depending on who’s there but Chris is always very kind and great with kids. Overall, by far the best laser tag location in Maryland!

So today, 10.26.2019, was our first of what Im sure will be many visits to Shadowland Laser Adventures in Columbia, MD.I will admit initially we werent originally using this venue for my sons 10th birthday party but we did end up there. Initially his party was setup at a private venue. At around 930a I recieved a call informing me that we could no longer use their venue. So after a 10-15 minute freak out I hit Google and started to search for something comparable. We were originally going to have a Fortnite-esque Nerf battle royale party. So unfortunately their are no such thing, at least in our area of this big green marble, so logically the next best thing would be laser tag. Now being the day of this little shindig I really didnt have high hopes of getting an actual birthday party. So with low expectations I called Shadowland because they were the first on the list from my Google search. Low and behold Brent answered the phone and this amazing specimen of the human race slid is in at 215p for the full birthday party package. My heart fluttered as the weight began to dissipate from my shoulders and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief a very small amount of a clear unknown liquid-like substance leaked from my eyes. I began notifying everyone while running around getting the rest of the necessities for the festivities. Fast forward to or arrival and the check-in was quick and easy. This is where we meet the second hero of the day, our party coordinator Justin. He was cleaning our party room, which had an awesome motif painted on the walls that matched the rest of the establishment the tables had this really cool blue brushed steel, Justin meticulously wiped the tables and swept the floor. He was very clear and concise with his rundown of the schedule, when he gave the briefing before or first game he made sure we all completely understood the rules and directions. Justin was calm but enthusiastic, if the kids were getting in his nerves or annoying him he did a phenomenal job of not showing it. After our first game we came back to the room for pizza and drinks Justin had everything wonderfully setup. He was on point during this time he was extremely attentive making sure we were in need of nothing. Id also like to add that when we were finished with our games but not even out of the room the staff was fervently disinfecting all the equipment and the unmistakable aroma of Lysol and bleach was filling the air. Once again after our second game we came to the room for cake and it was noticeably neater than when wed abruptly left after pizza.I will be absolutely recommending this establishment for quite some time. Brent and Justin helped me pull off an amazing day for my son after the first venue pulled the rug out from under me.

Great place. Was a great unintended work out, but had so much fun! Parking was confusing cause you have to park specifically in the back of the place and not in the side area (reserved for another place), but wasnt that big of a deal

The staff are great! They are friendly and very accommodating. Great place to have an adventure. Convenient parking and entrance ways. Its a great idea to use the back entrance when theres been icing, it snow. Very little sun light hits the front of the store walkway entrance.

This is a awesome place for family and friends to have fun and wear competition on their sleeve. The children will beg you to go back! Actually, everyone who goes would want to go back.I had a great time and left sweating and laughing to the car!

Four people working the front desk and we were ignored us for 20 min. Many were just standing there doing nothing (leaning against the wall and avoiding eye contact so as not to have to do anything). And when I said excuse me one of them said, “What?” Don’t bother trying to call for anything because it’s just a recording, you can’t actually speak with anyone to ask any questions or sign up/in. Website makes it seem like it’s 1980. I went once before and had an OK experience....it was fun but crazy expensive (again, no prices online and you can’t call to speak with anyone).

I wanted to give a huge shout-out to ShadowLand Laser Adventures for hosting the Fifth Grade End of Year Event for our elementary school !! They were the BEST!!! They worked with us to customize a great package especially for our group, which included Laser Tag, their new and cool Glow Golf and playing in their Arcade. The kids were so excited about it. As the number of participants grew way beyond our expectations (to abt 130 kids), the team at Shadowland worked tirelessly with us to plan everything, right down to the last details!The staff…each and every one…was so friendly, gracious and accommodating! They went out of their way to help us and made sure that everything went smoothly. Our 5th graders had a wonderful time and it was only because of Randall and his amazing team!Thank you so much!

Nice staff but rude guy at the register. Come to find out hes the manager!!! Poor staff. Nice game but over charged and the manager wanted to argue and name call. Glad corporate worked it out. Would have been a lot more fun if it were not for the harassment. Wont be back for awhile!!!

I drive 1.5 hrs from Delaware to come here! The arena is awesome & has 2 levels! The staff is very nice & every time we come here we have a great time! Well worth the drive for me & my kids. And the price is good too!

This is a great laser tag facility that can be enjoyed by both kids and kids at heart. I came with my family on a Friday night after a long day fully intending to only play one game with them before resting in a corner somewhere, but I wound up playing all three. It was that much fun. The field is great as laser tag facilities in the area go. Its not too big or too small. We didnt feel like we were bumping into other players every time we moved, which Ive experienced in the past. The GEMs added an element of interest to the game, and we played different formats from game to game. We werent bored. When we were finished playing, we spent a little while in the arcade and grabbed a snack. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. On the way home, the kids were already asking when we could come back. The answer is soon. ShadowLand is a winner.

Went here with a group for my daughters birthday, we have been here several times with no issue or wait but this time we were told there were no more games for the night because of a special they were running. The guy at the counter saw we were upset and had driven a long way with the group of kids and called in another worker to accommodate us so we were able to play 2 games and have a great night. Thanks shadowland for going above and beyond to help us and make our party fun!!

Place left a lot to be desired. Incredibly hot all over the facility, mini golf was only 12 holes and nothing very entertaining. Theyve overcomplicated the game of laser tag and their vests are of poor quality

The pack(Gun and equipment) stopped working multiple times for me, and the gun that was working properly I had to hold down the 2 buttons to shoot too hard in my opinion. Still had fun but it couldve been better

Mix of young and older kids. Recommend you either come as 1-2 people, or at least 9 people so that you can make a reservation, or else you could be waiting. But the games themselves were a good length (~15-20min), and there are interesting game modes and power-ups that adds some depth. There isnt much to do in the waiting area, and you should eat before showing up. My group signed up for 2 games, then went to a bar for an hour before our show time. For serious players, its okay for a budget circuit, and the equipment works really well. Just drive around the far side of the building, and park all the way in the back.

Kids love it and staff is easy to work with. A bot pricey considering the quality, but always a good experience for kids and they send coupons often. Good way to spend 2 hours or have a birthday party.

Not bad. The game play is fun, and the arena has a decent layout - lots of corners and hiding places, and an upper level.The main lobby area is more like a dark bowling alley.The whole place, at least in winter, is hot, humid and has that must smell mixed with locker room.

The pizza was good. The arcade is very small and the prizes from the tickets were very sad. The bathrooms were filthy and overall the facilities were not clean.

It is a nice place. When you go into the arena area, it is low-lit but it is still bright enough for you to see. There are different pack numbers. The employees are nice and explain the instructions before you start. They even help you throughout the game.

I’m extremely impressed with the customer service. I visited with my date and underestimated his speed and stamina. I ended up trying to run and hide the whole time to get one shot. I became very winded very fast but hid it for a very long time. By the near end of the game, I was having trouble breathing and he told the staff. They ended the game (it was just us two on a Monday evening), brought me a free cup of cold water, a chair, and refunded my second game. We planned on two games, but left happy. Thank you so much to the staff who helped me yesterday.

The kids had a blast.

Its fun for children and adults. Its more fun when you have a large group because there are power up/special modes that allow you to get more points during the game. The more kills you get the more power ups you get. There are ramps and obstacles to go around to hide. Overall it is a good time. Dress lightly as you will sweast a lot if you get into it.

This is really awesome. Ive been here a couple times and will definitely go back when in town again. The arena has a network of sloping ramps, catwalks and advantage points.

The small arcade section is nothing to write home about. The main attraction is the laser tag itself and it does not disappoint. The multiple configurations and varied terrain make this a must play.

We love Shadowlands! Every adventure has been great fun, whether weve gone with just a friend or a large group. The parties are okay but there not much more on offer than just going as a group, except use of the room & soda. But taking a group of kids there for a celebration is great fun!

Great place to host a birthday party or just blow off some energy with the kids. Single games are only $8.50 per session which last about 15 minutes each. There are 4 private parry rooms and an arcade for the wait. Staff is friendly however I wish they had a bar for parents who are waiting......just sayn.

I recently spent a fun afternoon at Shadowland, Columbia. It was the first time that we were not there for a birthday party but as individuals. I wondered if it would be as fun without a group but I didnt need to worry. The staff was wonderful and explained everything that we needed to know. They ran through the pricing and we wound up doing a Triple Play. Great value for the price and gave us almost three hours of fun. Monitors are a great idea and I could watch the games and stay involved. We took a break in between games and had delicious popcorn and some drinks. Great staff, great games, great value! We will return!

Nice spacious course with accurate weapons and scoring system. Had one issue with my assigned weapon but management was quick to resolve the issue and awarded me a complimentary single play voucher for the inconvenience.

Staff were extremely rude after our game tonight (November 25, 2016). For some reason the staff put a third player on their own independent team which made it impossible for anyone to compete with them. When my cousin and I asked for our scorecards at the end the staff just scoffed at us and did not give us our results. We have been going to shadow lands for years now and have never experienced this. Please remedy, Happy Holidays...

This place is the best for kids good for like kids the age 6and up the thing it is pretty heavy but super fun and you can do parties and there it is a good good place to have fun

Good place with fun for most. They are a little expensive and have a bad location which makes it look like ur going to a shipping warehouse, but other than that its great. Good for a birthday party or just a team bonding event

Where should I begin? Let me first start off by saying the worst experience ever and dont book your kids party here. My son wanted a laser tag party and so I called and booked a date for the month of February 2016 (Columbia location). This event was to celebrate my 8 year olds sons birthday. I was expecting between 20-25 guest total. When I arrived parking was horrendous, you have to park on the street or behind the building and that takes a significant amount of time. I finally find a spot behind the building and I still was making good time for my scheduled event.When I walk in, I discovered the original room that was meant for me was already being taken by another group that was present. My guest started to arrive and had to stand around, in order to get into the right room. Meanwhile I go to the front desk to speak with someone to sort of the room dilemma out and the staff seemed clueless. Finally they figured out one of their employees told this particular group of people could just take the room and I would just get the one the group basically rejected. After getting speaking with the manager their they had this group exit the room.This entire process took about 15-20minutes to happen. I get in the room late, my guest are here, and I am rushing to put up decorations because of Shadow lands chaotic and unorganized establishment. Oh and by the way there are only 2 rooms, both of these rooms are extremely small and everyone was hot because your so confined. The attendant assigned to me finally shows up and she looks really flustered and overwhelmed. This is because they have her trying to help manage my sons event as well as other folks randomly walking in to experience a laser adventure.The facility was extremely over crowed and my staff member finally comes in with plates, drinks and cups and she apologizes that the cups were wet because she had to rush and clean them and had no time to dry them off. Well thank God, I already had brought my own supplies and had a cooler filled with kids drinks and other beverages. By the way we never used the cups because if I was just told that basically there was really not enough time to clean them why would I even have people drink out of them?The kids finally head off to their first laser adventure and we were told we didnt have to have any chaperones in the room because their staff would be in the adventure room to supervise things. Well just from my initial experience I was not confident in their abilities. So my group entered the adventure and their are about 20 other unfamiliar people joining the laser adventure as well.I walk in the room to monitor the little ones that were there for my sons party. I eventually find my son crying because his head hit a wall after someone he didnt know hit and shoved him.I am so disgusted that this was the experience we had at this facility and I really wanted my son to have a great time. Especially since he didnt have a party the year before due to the loss of his grandmother around the same time of his birthday. I would not recommend anyone booking a party at this facility, this place is horrid, unorganized and not worth the money they are asking.

Hours of fun! It was busy on a Sat. so we had a hour wait before gameplay, hung out playing arcade games. It was loads of fun when game got started. 3 games for $20 is reasonable. No dinner food just junk.

This establishment has gone downhill. Staff does not care about their customers. Had three dysfunctional packs in one game. Its not like the old days where if you had a bad pack, they would try to make up for it with a free game. Staff just disregards their customer satisfaction.

A good laser tag place. An artistic arena and high quality equipment. The service is good, and they have food and an arcade for in between games. A good place to hangout. Birthday parties arent worth it, though.

I had lots of fun

My team and I definitely had fun! Venue needs some updating, as it is apparent that the rooms/equipment has some milage to them. Would recommend for youth groups, boy/girl scouts, BB-BS, etc. Whatever. Definitely for 11-17. Once you get past high school age, its going to be somewhat embarrassing/corny.

Fun for people of all ages. Can get very busy on the weekends. Wait time when its busy can be 30+ minutes. Definitely worth the wait.
